Watching Death Note again, is there anyway you survive having your name put in it like using a deffibulator?
Watching Death Note again, is there anyway you survive having your name put in it like using a deffibulator?
No, since it's not a "natural" heart attack. It's your life ending right there.

See that's what I was thinking but [sp]Miss had a set deadline until that was altered so can only death gods alter your due date?[/sp]
Decided to give the smartphone isekai a read and it's nowhere near as bad as I really expected it to be, anyone have much thoughts about the anime so far?

smartphone isekai is like the author watched konosuba and copied it without realizing it's satire
smartphone isekai is like the author watched konosuba and copied it without realizing it's satire
Konosuba is a direct parody of the mass produced garbage formula that Smartphone follows to the letter. The only odd thing about it is that we got the parody first and it being played painfully straight with stuff like Smartphone and Knights and Magic later.
I remember when I worked at a dollar store and my manager that was at least 50 years old kept trying to sell me on Sword Art Online

god sao is shite
[editline]6th August 2017[/editline]
no, really, what bothers me most about it is that people that bandwagon onto the 'sao is shite' train is that they have absolutely no clue what makes it shit and constantly try and add qualifiers about why they still enjoy it despite it being shit.
the show was demonstrably bad in the first few episodes and, as many others have pointed out, the moment that fairy daughter jesus bullshit entered the show it just became 'why.'
and let's not even talk about the incest arc with the fairies (also rape)
Hey man at least we know Asuna's tears are delicious

I doubt age has much to do with taste, I seen grown adults wearing "BAZINGA!" shirts all the time.
he was also really excited about how unique the concept of SAO was even though by that point Log Horizon and a thousand other MMO shows had popped up

Violet Evergarden picked up by Netflix
At least you can say that Netflix is learning that theres a market outside of USA. I hope for a better future where these big companies can bully the japanese board of directors into believing that theres a world outside of North America.
I was worried they would not consider putting it worldwide. Then again its Kyoto Animation, they seem much more open to providing consumers in Europe and elsewhere with their products, unlike Aniplex.
Netflix needs to stop picking up anime jesus christ. They don't sub it in a timely fashion, their subs kind of suck, and they don't fucking release blurays of their "netflix originals"
you wanted to own violet evergarden? hahaha FUCK YOU netflix is gonna hold it hostage.
Watching Little Witch Academia.

Sadly the anime industry is becoming big business in the west with either the end result being all of it being owned between Amazon and Netflix.
Crunchyroll will either be outcompeted or be allowed to exist, solely to get lower interest licenses.
Hopefully though anime crashes and burns and the investment is not sound for these big companies so we can go back to a simpler time where we only had to subscribe to Crunchyroll get all the anime for each season.
or Crunchyroll gets bought out by Amazon, Netflix, Google, or Sony Pictures.
Its funny because this is what I expect and then there is no way to watch anime legally again, Crunchyroll just started actively looking for Scandinavian licenses and it really would bother me if we go back to a time where I could not watch anything at all. Because anything outside of North America does not exist.

Sony bought Funimation a few days ago and funimation is partnered with CR so they're probably safe for now.

Mahoujin Guru Guru
I know everyone long stopped caring about Akame ga Kill but it got a sequel called Hinowa ga Yuku! that started publishing a couple months ago, only has 2 chapters out so far. Yen Press seemed to have acquired it so you can't read it on sites like Batoto though.
finished oyasumi punpun in one sitting over like 5 hours, fucking great read for sure
