Femprotag looked like a abomination especially, it instantly reminded me of WUG's decision to completely shit the bed with character designs with it's new season. Which also moved studios like Dagashi did.

Higurashi No Naku Koro Ni. God I love this series, didn't like the second season but the horror and mystery of season 1 is fantastic, even if the animation isnt all that great.

I'm not an anime guy myself, but I recently decided to finally watch Puella Magi Madoka Magica, the reason being I've always heard [sp]it's a very clever deconstruction of the "magical girl" genre (Sailor Moon and the kind)[/sp].
[sp]I'm around episode eight and am really loving it because it's a very clever deconstruction. Granted, unfortunately I knew precisely what I was getting myself into with this series, but before the shit hits the fan (episode 3) you can already get some subtle hints that the series isn't your typical magical girl fare (chiefs among them are the deranged, Lovecraftian design of the Witches and Kyubei acting incredibly shady since the very beginning, with his veiled insistence about Madoka accepting the contract)[/sp].
I think I'll watch all the 12 episodes and then the third movie (I heard it's the only one of three that actually advances the story of the series to some degree)

I saw Yuri on Ice, Afro Samurai, 91 Days, and Shingeki no Bahamut: Virgin Soul
Dunno what the other words before them say so not sure who is coming from what to make this anime but those were some pretty decent anime.

Yuri on Ice is referencing studio MAPPA, Bahamut is likewise MAPPA. Afro Samurai connection is the character designer and the 91 days connection is the chief animation director.
Just recently decided to finally get through the anime people have been suggested to me throughout the years & [URL="https://myanimelist.net/animelist/Navarchus?status=2"]seen[/URL] some really cool stuff so far.
