Finally finished Saekano S2 which i was putting off for whatever reason. How can something that is essentially just a romcom/harem be so good? Megumin was such a good character. Saekano was weirdly captivating in how it's basically jumping between meta-storytelling through stories they are making in anime. This worked very well and added a certain complexity to the way story and meta-story is told. Characters were all very good even though each of them represented certain achetype of harem anime, but the series was fully aware of this and used this to twist them and surprise with new traits against what viewer expects. This was a best harem i have watched tbh and hopefully there is going to be S3 someday.
not really a fan of those low framerate animations though
When you said that I thought it would be like most animated CG where the framerate is just cut in half but the game doesn't do that at all? It looks like it's stylizing between a mix of a 2D retro platformer and 3D, the animation doesn't actually look that bad at all like they just cut down the framerate in all of the 3d movement

Watched Koufuku graffiti since i wanted to inspire my cooking. Not only did it fail in doing that, but it was also just as bad as Dgg had made out out to be when it was airing. what a shame.
I would be interested in JoJo a lot more if I didn't go through a year of "is that a JoJo reference?"
Anyone know of a good anime/manga with more mature characters? Something along the lines of Ghost in the Shell Stand Alone Complex, Cowboy Bebop, Lupin the Third, Erased, or The Last Exile. Not really people with super powers (although it can be), but more dialogue and methodical action.
psycho pass
I would be interested in JoJo a lot more if I didn't go through a year of "is that a JoJo reference?"
Same here. I'd be more inclined to watch it if the whole culture around it wasn't obnoxious as fuck
Same here. I'd be more inclined to watch it if the whole culture around it wasn't obnoxious as fuck
In really (REALLY) into Persona too so while I was waiting for P5 I got to hear a lot of "wow what a stand knock-off" from some people I know
Same here. I'd be more inclined to watch it if the whole culture around it wasn't obnoxious as fuck
It's worth it, in my book. The fandom really doesn't change the way i view it or influence my appreciation of it

Any of you read "Kumo Desu ga, Nani ka?"? It's an unapologetic isekai, but it's a refreshing take on it, main character becomes a spider. Heard it becomes a bit shit later on but that's still far off in the manga. The whole 'it becomes shit' is likely from a tone shift that the manga is coming pretty close too now as well I think, but personally I feel like the shift was for the best as if it had kept on the path as it started it would of been another generic 'op mp isekai'. Also, kumo a cute A CUTE.

Then when it started updating again, it's all stuffs that we've seen already, just from another character's pov with almost nothing new added to it aka filler. also flashbacks.
The worst part is that isekai doesn't HAVE to be shit, as this shows, but I can't think of a single isekai anime that doesn't totally botch it. (Glopping gets an especially bad mention) Also speaking of isekai mangas, I really hope "Gaikotsu Kishi-sama Tadaima Isekai e o Dekake-chuu" and "Tondemo Skill de Isekai Hourou Meshi" gets an anime release at some point.
Juuni Kokuki/The Twelve Kingdoms. It's from 2002 and while "trapped in another world" has been around forever, it predates most if not all of the modern LN isekai tropes as a result. It's hands down one of the best fantasy anime ever made. While the initial premise will seem incredibly cliche, it's anything but with a heavy emphasis on world building, a grounded setting, character development, heavily flawed protagonists, and a rotating cast of protagonists as the show goes on.

Honestly we could save a few billion dollars if we just shut down all the hospitals and replaced them with daily screenings of Isekai Shokudou. This show is simply healing. I cannot feel any bad emotions while watching it
I've been reading the Kumo Desu ga, Nani ka? LN pretty much non-stop for the past few days. While I don't really mind the story jumping all around, I've finally hit Turb0's translation wall [sp]chapter 354 / 504 chapters[/sp]! I really want to finish the story, but google translations are dirty.
I read nijigahara holograph today. a Casual read left me very confused by the ending but going back to it along with some story analysis allowed me to appreciate it more. still felt the story left a lot to be desired though since it was all over the place. i recommend giving it a go if you are looking to read a short manga. only 15 chpters
Just got around to watching PMMM. Just to confirm, the first two movies are just the series, right? So after watching the series i just need to see Rebellion? [sp]That was dark. I wasn't expecting the Akira ending.[/sp]
