So after watching the series i just need to see Rebellion?
"Need" is a strong word
maybe i should rewatch ergo proxy but at the time i thought it was overrated i think a lot of people watched it because it was one of the first hd series, kinda shocking that its over 10 years old
Is Ergo Proxy the anime that has Paranoid Android as its ED?
Boy this episode of Gamers! felt flaccid compared to the bombastic misunderstandathon last episode

I wasn't expecting anything amazing going into that series and it was pretty decent. Considering the creative team had full control over it, I was surprised it turned out as good as it was.
Death Note movie is alright. Can be watched. But nothing really outstanding.

I'd recommend the Japanese live action movie adaptation of Death Note over the American version. At least that version is a lot more cohesive and competent.
Danganronpa V3 demo is out on PSN and Steam, played it and I'm really excited.
Surprised that it's coming out on PC on the same date as the other versions, pretty sure the PC port was coming early 2018 since they usually didn't give that much of a shit for PC ports.
So, just finished PMMM: Rebellion.
[sp]I'm not sure how I feel about it. Homura undermining everything Modoka did seems harsh. I spent the time after that hoping she would regret the whole thing and try to change it back.[/sp]
Yo I've been watching Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood, nobody told me it was actually like 75% political thriller.
Should I a watch the 2016/2017 Berserk first = Checkmark
Play the 2016 Game = Zinger
Read Manga First = Info
I've already read/watch 97 Anime/Movies and book 20ish or maybe 21ish I stopped around there though.

You may as well just ignore the 2016/2017 anime.

The 2016/17 anime is bad enough to be insulting to the source material. Read the manga, it is genuinely the best way to experience berserk.

Manga all the way. Berserk 2016/2017 is a disgrace. Take a look into Supereyepatchwolf's video on what's wrong with the anime, if you are curious to why it's so bad.
It's a similar situation like One Piece where the anime adaptation simply fails to capture what makes the manga great. Berserk is in a slightly worse situation though.

Berserk has never had a fantastic adaptation, and probably never will. But the 16/17 one is absolutely never worth watching unless you really want to see an example of exactly how low animation can sink.
But if you've read up to volume 20 or so then you're already through the golden age arc, which imo is where the series peaked. Read more if you're curious I guess, but be prepared for worse characters, a lot more pointless fights, and incredibly annoying comic relief.
though the golden age arc is the peak of berserk the lost children arc and the conviction arc are amazing as well, the latter being my personal favorite
the quality does start dropping afterwards but it's still really good, i'd say, even if there's too many comedy relief characters now
I feel like a truly proper Berserk anime that shares the same art style AND is animated properly would take about 75% of Japan's total budget

Berserk 98's art style and detail level would be fine, you don't need to make every frame match the manga's art detail.
just finished kaiji (both seasons) and it was a breath of fresh air. Despite the scenarios being ridiculous, it keeps everything realistic rather than doing some anime asspull or making the characters ridiculously over the top. Sure hyodo is a fucker but he [sp]never forces kaiji to do anything and gives him multiple ways out or chances to walk away, which I think helped a lot in selling the story. (That being Kaiji's misfortunes are his own fucking fault rather than him being oppressed by some big evil) [/sp]
However s1 was definitely better than s2 as the [sp]pachinko arc went on for way too long and had no real mind games[/sp]

I don't think it would need to have the same art style, just something that looks good in its own way.
It's the same thing with Jojo, Araki is an amazing artist, so no anime would ever perfectly capture the art style, especially given how much it changed, but the current anime does a damn good job because they made great stylistic choices like the color palette shifts and the on-screen sound effects.
Berserk '97 was all right, just kind of generic/un-detailed and with not too much visual flair. And the movies would have been incredible if not for the facts of cutting out so much story material and awkwardly using CG in too many places. But 16/17 had almost no good decisions

The pachinko machine being called "The Bog" is a pretty accurate name.

[sp]That's a bit harsh. I think Madoka would forgive her for it. The after credit scene seemed to suggest she regretted it.[/sp]
