I've never really got into light novels but I found a manga for Youjo Senki (I'm assuming the source is a LN 'cause this manga doesn't even get as far as the anime)
I remember a lot of complaints about the anime, but there's just a lot of shit that's [I]worse[/I] in this manga, and I don't know if some of it's from the LN, but really;
1:The MC talks to the Abrahamic God, who talks about the commandments, all them indian concepts like samsara and nirvana, and acts super best-friends with Buddha'n co, who all have a gods club and watch over multiple earths. I get that the MC hates the gods for their hypocrisy and irrationality, but the simplicity of -time freeze, shit talks to you- just had a lot more tact.
2:Sections with future historians looking back on the war makes shit just unnecessarily vapid.
What's with all the garbage shows this season(most of them below 6.0 on mal), like the only good ones that have caught my eye so far is ancient magus' bride and inuyashiki

Shoujo Shuumatsu Ryokou, Houseki no Kuni, Kekkai Sensen And Beyond, Garo Vanishing Line, Osomatsu season 2, Infini-T Force.
Then lesser/preferential shows like Blend S, Animegataris, Net-Juu, and maybe one or two others. Just because you aren't paying attention doesn't mean there aren't plenty of good shows.

Not really interested in the style/genre of shows that I italiced, totally missed Garo though.

Because I can't find the hobby thread, I decided to post here about messing around with my first Gundam model kit from some years ago. It's the MG OYW ver. Animation Colored Gundam kit, and it took me I think 3 hours or a day with breaks to build him. I'm not sure if the years were not too kind on it, but his left leg doesn't really bend all the way, arms feel very loose, and his intricate details are much to be desired. I feel bad for not putting more effort into sanding as some of the stubs from removing the pieces for the plastic set are noticeable. My attempts at panel lining are neat, as it looks weathered in some places when really I was a bit sloppy with the clean-up job on the smears. I do like how it looks in the end, I just wish I could have done it better from the beginning. Thinking of doing a couple of HG's before going back to Master Grade to build my confidence in doing more detailed work later on.

The only thing I have to complain about the new Kino no Tabi myself (aside from few janky looking animations in the first ep which might've been because of the TV) and which might well be silly and different in the LN (haven't read it) is [sp]Kino breaking her 3 days visit rule twice already in 4 episodes, even if one (or both, I guess?) of them was for travelling elsewhere.[/sp] idk, just stuck out at me for some reason.
Kino's 3 day rule is not a set in stone rule, it's just something she goes by because it works for her in most cases.
She's not completely inflexible as to follow it 100% of the time.
Please note that Kino normally says she's there for sightseeing, but she didn't do that in those episodes.
Not there for sightseeing = 3 day rule doesn't apply.

Not to be rude but MAL scores are a completely worthless scale of measure, for airing shows even more so. You'd have to be an idiot to treat them like the bible.

I don't have time to watch utter garbage like black clover, if something turns out to be good that I passed off as shit initially I can just watch it later.
I have to say I've only been checking out the latest Tokyo Ghoul :re chapters because of the shitstorms that a few of the chapters caused recently, but with the latest chapter Ishida has finally completed his transformation into a full on hack. I struggle to see why anybody is still reading at this point beyond sunken cost.

I feel like MAL has more of an overweighting problem than an underweighting problem, unless a show gets hype leading into it and immediately disappoints (i.e. Black Clover). If something has below a 6 there's usually something glaring about it bringing it down. That's not to say it can't be enjoyable, though.
