That's generally how most sequel announcements go, they rarely clarify if it's a new season, movie or OVA.
I'm surprised the anime didn't try to end with the end of the Bondrewd arc but I guess that might have rushed the pacing.

I mean they aren't naked or anything, even if they were, that doesn't matter in the holy kingdom of Spain as long as it's a 2d drawing.
So I decided to check out Rage of Bahamut Genesis, and binge watched it in one sitting. To me it was the anime equivalent of junk food-dumb, fun and not a lot of depth, but its fun setting, cool artstyle, solid production values and loveable cast of characters made it an enjoyable ride, and Favaro is one of my favourite MCs that I've encountered in modern anime. So I eagerly jumped into Virgin Soul thinking it would be even better considering we get 2 cours this time, right?
Oh boy I haven't seen a show shit the bed in its second season this bad since Darker than Black Season 2. Lets completely disregard what made the first season great (it's awesome MC and cast, lightnening fast pacing, sense of adventure) and introduce the most obnoxious MC and her god awful romance with Anime Hitler, where they get to live happily ever after, while the much more loveable cast of the first season get side lined and the pace of the show feels like it's constantly dragging its feet through the ground. REMEMBER KIDS! IT'S OK TO JUSTIFY YOUR ROMANCE OF A DESPOT AS LONG AS HE'S A HANDSOME BISHOUNEN! I actually question if the Japanese actually understand half of what makes their media enjoyable. The fact that you shaft one of the most entertaining bromances since Joseph and Caesar for Dragon Buns and Bishi Hitler's cinderalla story shows how fucking tone deaf the writers are. It's a shame because the first episode had terrific production values and premise was really great, but the fucking tepid direction, lack of momentum and awful combination of Nina and Bishi Hitler ruined any desire left for me to see more of this property.
Also, is it just me, or do the Japanese have a creepy tendency to glamourise benign dictatorships? This show and Legend of Galactic Heroes are good examples.
Virgin Soul was so god damn bad, and it's bullshit cause the first 6 episodes had some of the hypest animation in fight scenes I've seen ever but the show is SO BORING.
