are you a kid
what does this mean
I'm almost done watching Death Note for the first time. I have about 4 episodes to go. Is it just me, or does [sp]everything after L's death seem like filler / really confusing? I dunno, things just don't feel as 'tight' as they were before. Does it all pay off and make sense in the end?[/sp]
I don't know what you're smoking, there have been trashy yuri harem anime before and there will continue being trashy yuri harem anime in the future. They will all continue to suck.
When? I've never seen a yuri harem.

I mean wow, he has WHITE hair and likes TOYS instead of SWEETS but from a plot perspective he's the exact same character, and he just materializes out of thin air with absolutely no prior setup[/sp]
I finished NGE; What the fuck was that?
I finished NGE; What the fuck was that?
Watched End of Evangelion?
two of the worst episodes in anime history
TV ending > End of Evangelion
Watched End of Evangelion?
Not yet, it's next on the list though.
Shoujo Shuumatsu as good as ever.
Not yet, it's next on the list though.
Watch that then Rebuild since Rebuild is a sequel. EoE takes place during episode 25 and 26 and it's what's happening externally while episode 25 and 26 are what's happening internally
Watch that then Rebuild since Rebuild is a sequel. As far as I'm aware it starts as a retelling then just gets dumb.
A lot of people will tell you to watch the Rebuild of Evangelion films, those people will tell you that the first one is a good remake and the second is a bad eva movie but a good action movie. I don't agree with those sentiments, I found them to all be various degrees of bad movie. The first is just the beginning of the show but way less interesting with cgi mechs instead of hand drawn and it skips most of the character development parts of the show because of time constraints. Rebuild 2 is a retarded fanfiction that shoves a new character in where you don't need one, who quickly overtakes the original characters in importance, breaks the rules established by the series, and overall just serves to be a new waifu. The ending tries to remake part of the series but misses everything that made it cool or interesting in exchange for empty flash that personally I found way less cool looking then what happens in the series. Then, you're treated to a trailer for the third movie at the end, which by the time the third movie actually arrives proves to be entirely inaccurate. one scene from the trailer appears, and the rest are skipped in favor of boring exposition scenes and homoerotic piano playing. my opinions of the movies can be summed up like this: Rebuild 1: pointless Rebuild 2: retarded Rebuild 3: FUCKING BORING This is not the common opinion on these films, you probably won't agree with me, most people already don't, but you may find this opinion helpful, maybe, whatever...
i enjoyed all 3 rebuilds
i enjoyed all 3 rebuilds
And that's fine, most people did. I'm just incredibly critical and picky about sequels or remakes, it's very easy for them to not work for me, to a level other people don't normally reach. Like the steins;gate movie, I love steins;gate, most people found that movie alright at best but not terrible. But I couldn't stand it, I thought it was horrible as a sequel to the main series. A lot of people liked the third madoka movie which I also can't stand. [editline]16th December 2017[/editline] Another sequel, airing right now, the Yuuki Yuuna followup, is likewise doing everything it can to press my buttons about sequels and has become unwatchable to me. Which I expect a lot of the fans to not agree with because it's not like it's doing anything that terrible, it just happens to be things I don't like in sequels.
A lot of people liked the third madoka movie which I also can't stand.
I was just about to make a post comparing the rebuilds to the third madoka movie. They're well animated but ultimately just really fanservice-y and they don't add anything meaningful to the series at large, so they're kind of pointless. I would never tell somebody they need to watch any of these movies, or even go so far as to say they should. More of just an "If you really want to, you can." The rebuilds are like an inverted NGE, where they put maximum effort into the animation, and minimal effort into the storytelling. But I also don't want to discredit NGE's animation, the good parts were really good, there were just some bad parts because they ran out of budget or time or both.
Is there much of a point to watching the Rebuilds? As far as I'm aware it starts as a retelling then just gets dumb.
Well Rebuild 1 takes place after EoE so yeah they're worth a watch. To really understand what's going on in them you need to know about Devilman, the original plot of EVA and know the conclusion to Anima
Chapter 40 of Dungeon Meshi is out, and damn was it incredible. I recommend giving DM a read! It's definitely one of my favorite pieces of manga ever.
PV for overlord S2 i know FA has varying opinions on this but for those who care
stardust memory was absolutely atrocious, and that was before the ending.
The only real thing that stardust memory has going for it is the animation some of the MS designs are cool too i guess
Animegataris episode 11 was.... Wow. (Am I the only one watching this?...)
Animegataris episode 11 was.... Wow. (Am I the only one watching this?...)
reds and maxumym did

Are they going to adapt all the way up to volume 11? That being said, they're probably only going to adapt up to the tomb raiders ark. One punch man is pretty good

How come Kowru knows Shinji? Rebuild is a sequel because Anno is a fan of Devilman and the original plot of EVA was that Adam was the main Eva from the previous cycle. Anima shows us that Shinji is a part of Adam and he's the one causing the cycles[/sp] I never said it's hard to understand I just said rebuild requires some outside knowledge
i dont think anima is canon
They make a reference to it in 3.33 but it's more of a side thing. Cycles are canon though.
