In a world where 95% of adaptations are the incomplete, something as long as Monogatari getting a complete adaptation sure is nice.
What's Monogatari about? Something about demon possession? Is it worth getting into?
It's hard to describe but yes it's worth it imo
What's Monogatari about? Something about demon possession? Is it worth getting into?
Monogatari is about a vampire teeth fetishist having a series of long conversations with various people with different problems that he's usually looking to solve. Yes, it is worth watching. Just don't get put off by the way it presents itself at first, you'll get used to it eventually.
Also remember to watch it in release order, not chronological story order.
Monogatari is one of the most perversely intelligent art pieces I've ever experienced and that's all I'm gonna say about it. You can enjoy it by taking everything at face value or you can search for the hidden meanings and analyze its characters and however you do it, it's amazing and fascinating.
and as nisio isin works usually do, monogatari has some of the most memorable great characters in anime

Hard as I try, I just can't get into Kekkai Sensen. I think it's either missing something or I'm missing something.
Hard as I try, I just can't get into Kekkai Sensen. I think it's either missing something or I'm missing something.
The episodes being disconnected from one another might be the problem.

The funny thing is that even those scenes are a social commentary (which is often lampshaded by the characters themselves in some of their dialogues) [editline]26th December 2017[/editline] Also you could literally pick any sex or humorous scene in any movie and dismiss the movie's entire point in this way. Also I love when people get confused in reference to the anime like this: [t]https://images3.memedroid.com/images/UPLOADED558/596e37d2a38e7.jpeg[/t]
Hard as I try, I just can't get into Kekkai Sensen. I think it's either missing something or I'm missing something.
If you expected a battle shounen too bad, it's actually a slice of life about a boy struggling to survive in a crazy city.
This reminds me that I still need to watch the 3rd Kizu movie.
what's the suggested order for watching those animus?
Bake > nise > neko > monogatari second season > hana > tsuki > owari s1 > koyomi > kizu 1 2 and 3 > owari s2 The release order
Be advised, however, Nisio hates long hair. HATES
I would personally recommend swapping Koyomi and Kizu because I think it flows a bit better, and they can out about the same time anyway, so I don't think they're meant to be watched in a particular order.
Be advised, however, Nisio hates long hair. HATES
best girl shinobu still has long hair
Be advised, however, Nisio hates long hair. HATES
lets be real, some of them (spoilers) get it worse than others
lets be real, some of them (spoilers) get it worse than others
Deserved it.
Meanwhile, in the midst of all of this tragedy, who is the one who gets long hair in the end? [sp]ARARAGI[/sp]
I would personally recommend swapping Koyomi and Kizu because I think it flows a bit better, and they can out about the same time anyway, so I don't think they're meant to be watched in a particular order.
No you can't [editline]27th December 2017[/editline] Not all of koyomi, it's safer to just watch release
Be advised, however, Nisio hates long hair. HATES
He doesn't hate long hair, araragi the character likes short hair, and nisio isin loves changing hairstyles characters in monogatari go short, and long, and almost always for a story reason. (several girls have short hair because of araragi's preference)

There's also a pv but it shows no new footage so have this instead, taken from reddit. What Araragi says is from the first chapter of Koyomi Reverse: [sp]"As you are already aware, the story surrounding Araragi Koyomi has already drawn to a close. There's not really much left to add at this point. A lot of things were resolved, and a lot of things were not resolved. Some things were defered until the future, but that doesn't change the fact that an endpoint was drawn. When there is a shadow, it is not necessarily always true that there is light. In that case perhaps we should call it not a shadow, but darkness? Whatever the case, if no one knows what the future holds [literally: an inch ahead lies darkness], then perhaps you're in the darkness already. Nonetheless, it is the way of the world that ending things is harder than starting them, so this thing that I started impulsively, once started, requires a not insignificant amount of effort to bring to an end. In order to dot the period at the end of these stories that actually started when I impulsively saved a dying vampire during spring break, I've had to go through some deadly experiences. Hell, I've actually died several times. You certainly can't say that the way I've dealt with things has been great, and you can't say that I've settled everything cleanly, but even so, the fact does not change that a particular era of Araragi Koyomi has been closed. I've made a lot of mistakes, but that fact at least, is not mistaken. Is unmistakeable. And so we will now start the continuation of the ending. A world view that should not have existed. An impossible future. The remains of a vampire, Oshino Shinobu. The class president charmed by a cat, Hanekawa Tsubasa. The girl pinched by a crab, Senjougahara Hitagi. The ghost made lost by a snail, Hachikuji Mayoi. The classmate that wished upon a monkey, Kanbaru Suruga. The snake encoiled by a snake who then ate a snake, Sengoku Nadeko. The sister stung by a bee, Araragi Karen. The phoenix herself, Araragi Tsukihi. The undead doll, Ononoki Yotsugi. The childhood friend who came back, Oikura Sodachi. The group of specialists: the middleaged vagrant Oshino Meme, the conman Kaiki Deishuu, the violent exorcist Kagenui Yodzuru, their boss Gaen Izuko, the puppetmaster Teori Tadatsuru. And Oshino Ougi. This is their story—continued. You could call it something of an extra, but even extras aren't really something to scoff at, since people learn more from failures than they do from success. And so, at the very least, let's use this opportunity to learn something." [/sp]
No you can't [editline]27th December 2017[/editline] Not all of koyomi, it's safer to just watch release
In the case of Kizu, it really doesnt matter at which point of the series you pick it up from after watching Bake. The Kizu movie was supposed to come out years ago and the novel was released like right after Bake
I'm dumb and was thinking chronologically even though I knew he was on about release order

look at the framing. obviously in the first frame imouto-chan number 2 is in control while she's berating arararararararararararagi, being that she's the only thing in frame and she takes up the entirety of the foreground. in frame two arararararararararararararararararararararararagi has established his dominance so extremely with such a simple line that he doesn't even fit in frame i wouldnt expect such a simple minded plebian such as yourself to understand cinematography to such a deep extent. maybe if digiwhoever did a video on the subject you might be enlightened.
its shit
we know about your taste, but we were talking about kekkai sensen
My only problem with Kekkai Sensen is because it has such a massive cast it feels like nobody really gets enough focus, even when it tries to spread out focus episodes. It feels like it'd need like fifty episodes to give everybody some decent focus.
zoku owari PV with good quality [editline]27th December 2017[/editline] alright holy shit 3 new Monogatari novels have been released since I last checked and 5 more have already been announced/are upcoming at this pace Monogatari is set to be Japan's longest-running light novel series in a couple of years
