Can you guys recommend any psychadelic movies? I've seen a few 20th century movies and enjoy the eye candy.

Didn't realize Ai Mai Mi got a third season out of left field, first show of the season and it's already my unironic AOTS

edit: Chou Shounen Tanteidan Neo, oh man where do I start with this? I was interested in it because of the artstyle which looked nice and colorful. But wow, I was expecting it to be kind of serious given it's pv, but it's actually really lighthearted and especially bizarre. I got a chuckle out of it, so I'll stick with it. There's no reason to drop it since it's just 4 mins long.

questionable subs at times
So I was going to check if there's any updates on Jojolion or Berserk and I found this.
Interesting.
Since it's already January and I haven't seen this topic come up, what was AOTY?

Re:Rakugo Psycho 91's Bizarre Number;Nine Raid On Ice.
So I've started reading a manga that someone just picked up scanlating called Torako, Anmari Kowashicha Dame da yo, which is about a kind, innocent girl with superhuman strength being transferred into a school of delinquents because she keeps breaking shit.

I really wish Gundam The Origin would just get on with it adapt the majority of the manga that isn't Char's flashback, because they're extending it by another Char-centric episode or two, and Char's backstory in the Origin is ridiculously overinflated considering it's covered in like thirty seconds in the actual series.
But did you know that when Char was a child he piloted a Guntank and had a swordfight with a guy in a suit of armour and met his identical twin who was completely unrelated to him and was actually the one who was responsible for [sp]kick-starting the war[/sp] and had wacky misadventures on Earth and fought a ninja before going back to space to be in every important situation ever?
And let's not forget his mind-flaying stare and ten-kiloton flick that can break bricks.

The Origin series is a 1:1 adaption of the 'Char & Sayla' arc from the manga. If you were expecting anything other than wacky Char adventures it's gonna disappoint.
The 'Char & Sayla' arc is also one of the volumes of the 12 volume series so it has quite a bit to cover.

It's not that I expected anything else, it's that I wish they would adapt the 9/12 volumes that aren't fucking boring already.
And don't use CG mecha while they're at it. The MS fight in Origin episode 4 was dreadful.

I didn't even know Ep 4 was out. They really should adapt the rest but it's unlikely they will, it'd be nice to see what would essentially be High Def 0079.
Some of the CG isn't awful, it ain't perfect but it's better than what some shows have done recently.

A high-budget OVA's animation shouldn't be merely slightly better than the bottom of the barrel. Not only were the models mediocre and the animation limp and weightless, the fight in episode 4 probably would have been terrible even if it had Unicorn-tier animation. Sunrise still hasn't learned how to animate decent zeekwank that doesn't involve Fed MS standing there stock still while they can't hit the broad side of a mountain.
On top of that the bad animation rendered a scene that's supposed to be tense and deadly serious absolutely comical. A mecha show shouldn't make the mecha the worst part.

I'll probably end up watching the 4th Ep later tonight so I don't know just how bad it is yet. I admit they should've stuck to 2D animation regardless. CG is just the cheap and easy route and studios think they can half ass animation and compositing because "muh 3d fx tho".

The annoying part is that CG was a deliberate choice and a request from the director, who I guess sees CG as a shiny new toy.
He got his ass fired by showing up to the screening of episode 4 drunk in front of the press, so hopefully after the OVA we won't be cursed with more CG mecha.

Directors need to hurry up and learn how to use CG so we stop getting garbage. It's annoying when you see half-assed CG because to do it well it requires to same amount of work as traditional animation in order to make it good.
When will the CG-pocalypse end.
First episode of Akiba's Trip was enjoyable if you liked the game(that is on steam) different characters but same style. sadly the characters aren't dressed like my character was in the game as in totally silly.
Alot of reuse of the plot points in the game(on steam) but you know I for once actually dont mind a bit of a chuuni/otaku character for now.
also has a dub on day 1 apparently. And has a Fin in it just like the game. Animation is okay. also mayonaise
Akiba's trip is pretty alright, was expecting a lot worse.
what if i havent played the game
what if i havent played the game
Even though they reuse some of the plot points from the game, it seems to be a standalone story with its own characters.
According to MAL, I have apparently hit a yet another depressing milestone.

I'm getting close to 1000
I passed 300 some time ago
i have watched 3000 anime
jokes on you guys, if you just never finish anime you will always keep your power level in check
I passed 300 some time ago
I feel like i've watched alot but when i look at completed it's just over 300.
maybe because some of the shows were p long it feels like i've watch more.
Akiba's Trip's first episode was fun.
The real question is how hard the animation is going to fall apart, even with the art style built around being loose and rough.
look at you big boys
i still only have watched 130 anime :v:
