I saw the praise on here and thought I'd give Spice & Wolf a go. I went to participate in the Barnes & Noble sale but accidentally came back with the [B]manga[/B] rather than the [B]novel[/B]. I don't know whether to read the manga now and find the novel later, or just wait until I find the novel and read [I]that[/I] first.

The Manga has really nice art and follows the novels well if only for a while. The first 6 volumes of the Manga adapt the first 2 novels I think. After that it starts skipping all over the place.
Its still good but I'd highly recommend reading the novels first.

As in every way... also a girl that very publicly tears on anyone who has a crush on her still remains popular with dudes even though she is known to be like that.....
I might enjoy this despite that since it is a somewhat original concept for a highschool romcom I guess?, but man I really have some nitpicks with this one.
On a side note, sad that Urara Meirochou didn't get picked up by official subbers since it looks like something I might enjoy.

Friday is pretty stacked this season in terms of shows airing though it is a mixed bag.
Seiren is pretty good and I heard it was following 4 episodes for every girl's arc, so a bit like a visual novel. I like this style because often time I am like "yeah he chose that girl but i disagree" in anime like this.
Youjo Senki intrests me but the character design and animation are... not that great.
School Strikers had bad animation and bad fight scenes(though they were short) but I can see myself enjoying that as a more slice of life show. Reminds me of strike witches though.
Minami Kamakura High School Girls Cycling Club had great backgrounds, and the animation was good. Nice character design and I like the setting but some CGI that I noticed.
Anyway, so does anyone want a free steam key of Trials in the Sky? Humble monthly had it and I already own it. An excellent JRPG even though it has a quite slow start, is noticeably aged but has an excellent story in the long run.
This season might not exactly be overflowing with shows I'm excited for compared to last season, but it's nice to have a breather season after having to watch like eight shows every Saturday.

Probably not the best comparison considering Tanya isn't always crazy-face obviously, but yeah, the characters don't really resemble the LN or the manga. The main two even look drastically different from every other character in art style, and even compared to eachother. The corporal's especially getting the brunt of the hate given the redesign and massive uguu eyes that just.. don't look right.
first ep of youjo senki was fine
well so far the anime for Youjo Senki has skipped alot of plot and introductions
spoilers obviously [sp]from who Tanya actually is, how she got to be so well know and got her achievment, how she has a stupidly good magical item thing that allows her to fly so damn high and pretty much use tactical nukes whenever the fuck she likes, and why she praises god so much[/sp]
basically alot of stuff is missing, which i presume is going to be in the ova they are releasing
I'm pretty sure they're doing the thing where the first episode is a bit in the story to attract attention, and then episode 2/3 will be the flash back that explains shit.

how do i watch the DR anime besides the dr1 adaption? A friend just said to alternate between the shows or something. I already played the first two games.
