So I don't know if it's been mentioned here, but Mousou Telepathy is a pretty great manga about a shy girl who can read people's minds and the [sp]pervert[/sp] who has a crush on her. It also updates daily.
Isn't that description literally Kotoura-san
Last chapter of the Akame ga Kill manga. (comparison last episode spoilers for the anime as well) [sp]Tatsumi remained revived as the dragon or whatever, and Mine awakens from her veggie state and it's revealed she's pregnant with his child. Afterwards they retire to the countryside with their children(dragon dick???? ???????). Tatsumi does return back to his village after the village receieves money, and it causes some commotion since he's a motherfucking dragon. The Prime Minister dies differently, rather being having his head smashed by Beast-form Leone, he's executed by having various parts of his limbs removed (his body underwent extreme training to withstand pain) through torture. Leone dies more or less the same as the anime. Najenda remains single but adopts a child. Akame, after some more assassination missions literally sails into the sunset on a boat looking for some island to heal her curse marks.[/sp] oh yeah (manga spoilers) [sp]the girl with the scar on her face retains Esdeath's severed hand, and she nor the hand are ever heard from again. Esdeath's hand has some magic stuff on it that keeps it from decaying or something.[/sp]
Isn't that description literally Kotoura-san
why did you mention that now i'm pissed off again
Isn't that description literally Kotoura-san
Yeah, but it's actually funny.
why did you mention that now i'm pissed off again
Yeah people on reddit said that, and then said "...but this one doesn't suck."
Just finished KonoSuba. It's very good but I think people praise it too highly. The biggest problem is that it's totally an adaptation. There are some characters in the OP that were never introduced. It's as if I watched only the even-numbered episodes of a 20ep season. Still pretty funny. I kind of want to re-experience the stories through a more fleshed-out medium.
Finished my rewatch of Shinsekai Yori. Haven't watched it since it aired, which was four years ago. That was my first anime season too. 10/10 in my books. 9 for the show itself and +1 because fuck SAO for stealing budget from it. [sp]Lowkey dystopia[/sp] best utopia. The lore it weaves is tight and brilliant, a world with both subtle and overtly fucked up elements. It all just ties together neatly, you can see the story was planned out without any of that potential sequel bullshittery you'd find in LNs written by kissless nerds looking for a quick repeatable buck. The main theme is chilling as ever too Too bad that I still had a very good recollection of the show four years later, it would have been nice to experience the mysteries for the first time again.
Which reminds me i still have not finished reading novel version. I caught up with all the translated parts and then forgot to continue when new translations were out.
Konosuba's ending is comfy yet again.
Gate: Chapter 61. What did we learn here fellas? [sp]Don't look directly at a flashbang grenade as it goes off, medieval fantasy world or not.[/sp]
Which reminds me i still have not finished reading novel version. I caught up with all the translated parts and then forgot to continue when new translations were out.
they've been completed for a while now with a few revisions iirc
Konosuba season 2 is off to a pretty strong start IMO. First two episodes have been really funny.
What's the gag of Konosuba's end card always getting cut off, is there a joke I'm missing or is it just for comedic effect?
chaos child had another interesting episode. really i reccomend people at least consider watching it it isn't as terrible as we all expected it to be chaos child ep2 spoilers [sp] the ending of episode 2 caught me off guard, she was raising death flags but the whole things starts and ends really unceremoniously , what was it like a five second scene?[/sp]
What's the gag of Konosuba's end card always getting cut off, is there a joke I'm missing or is it just for comedic effect?
Comedic effect but also it's a tonne of dialogue. She only gets up to this point and if the viewer cares enough they'd just pause it anyway [t]http://i.imgur.com/IwbyRek.jpg[/t]
Dragon Maid is so good. Quality is holding up too, time will tell. The playfighting scene was awesome.
Episode 2 of Maidragon was about the same as the first: mediocre at best and carried mostly by Kobayashi, and even that isn't very good. Kyoani's animation doesn't really add much to it either. The quality of the animation is high, but it's not like Nichijou where it's helping to nail every gag because in this case the source material just isn't good enough to do so.
Loved every second of Konosuba and Dragon maid. Odd how they kinda retconned the Konosuba OVA though.
Pv for the other Masaaki Yuasa movie Quite similar to ponyo
Loved every second of Konosuba and Dragon maid. Odd how they kinda retconned the Konosuba OVA though.
what did they retcon
Pv for the other Masaaki Yuasa movie Quite similar to ponyo
that art style is kinda wonk
Apparently Masaaki is also working on TV series with the director of flip flappers
what did they retcon
The OVA could have been set after this episode I guess, but I don't think so?
So, I got to watch Ep 1 of Akiba's Trip and it's really underwhelming. Animation style makes everyone look rubbery as fuck, and with the fact that the combat is based around everyone being knocked around, it looks pretty bad. The differences from what little I remember of the game are kinda disappointing: The protag "selling his soul" for a figure is much more interesting than what anime did (and honestly, they just wanted more fanservice, it seems). Harem chicks are mostly annoying. Protag's power fantasies/actual power acquisition isn't played off enough. Maybe it gets better later on, but first episode is kinda meh. And then I watched GTO and fun was had. [editline]19th January 2017[/editline] I swear, the only anime to do NEET characters right is Eden of the East.
It's not really a harem where there's only three girls, the second girl has no interest in him, and the third is his sister.
It's not really a harem where there's only three girls, the second girl has no interest in him, and the third is his sister.
Is she actually his sister? I just assumed it was the usual just very close friend thing.
Is she actually his sister? I just assumed it was the usual just very close friend thing.
It's his sister. They live in the same house, their parents are mentioned several times. So yes, that's not a harem unless the series was Bakemonogatari. I'd recommend trying the second episode, but if you don't like it after that then it's probably safe to drop.
