Yunyun is introduced as a character in both the OVA and S2E2. And she encounters the main cast under the same pretenses, so it's not possible for both episodes to be simultaneously canonical as Kazuma would have recognized her. Also the mansion is still fully furnished in the OVA, so it can't have taken place after S2E1.

Answering your spoiler. [sp]In the games, they did burn up in sunlight, but all of the areas of Akiba's Trip's games are outdoors, so the Vamps burning up in sunlight works there. This anime for some reason has them fighting indoors and out, so they retconned the former for the "air exposure" thing. It works, I guess, but the fact that vamps are actually possessed humans with "Alphas" being the ones who die is kinda weird. Right now, the game and the anime only have the basic premise as the same, everything else is different.[/sp]
And while still on Akiba's Trip, it [B]BOTHERS THE FUCK OUT OF ME[/B] that during the episodes, whenever there is a TV screen somewhere, it's playing the PV for Akiba's Strip 2/US localized game.

They didn't really retcon the OVA, it just takes place some time after the current arc
I tried getting into anime but a majority of it looks like puke, there are exceptions like Little Witch Academia and it started with one short so it was easier to get into, it was enough of a deviation from regular anime for me to love it.
Can you recommend anything? I'll try JoJo's Bizarre Adventure mostly because it has references to actual™ good™ music™.

You didn't watch the op? there will be 2 more mythical creatures, can't remember the specifics though but I am certain that there will be 2 more as is typical in these kind of shows in that they will slowly introduce more characters.
