Anime is over, Thunderbolt Fantasy has ushered in the new era of puppets!
Joking aside, it is pretty good fantasy stuff, check it out. Will be intersting to check out the manga at some point.
If anime does survive the puppet revolution for a few more years, I hope they keep making more anime of coolkyousinnya's stuff, their all fun, the ones I have read anyway and dragonmaid has been great so far.

I think the cuteness added to the characters takes the edge off the anime nicely. It'd feel like [I]one of those[/I] anime if they didn't.

The boyfriend actually really doesn't like the anime pretty much exclusively because of the faces of Tanya and Viktorya. I'm good with Tanya's even knowing it could be better. But yeah, seeing Viktorya on screen just makes me want to look away. The boyfriend says they look like frog people.

I started watching Serial Experiments Lain which I mentioned I was going to try out before.

I think it's a fairly unique manga set in a rpg-like world. Except it's pretty well thought it and stuff.
It's about this party who has to go back into a dungeon without any time to resupply, leading to them eating the monsters that live there while they are going deeper.

man that latest youjo senki episode was great, maybe i'll give the anime an 8. the cringy edgy personality of tanya has worn off and now i believe she's the coolest loli i've seen (she barely counts as one though).
the thing that happened near the end of that episode was fucking bold though. [sp]never in all the tv shows/movies i have seen have i seen something so ruthless and savage as what happened near the end of that episode. the whole episode was dedicated to buttering you up for that enemy dude (like seeing his daughter saying goodbye to him and giving him a very special rifle, and most importantly having the initials on that rifle) and then at the end he was fucking stabbed ruthlessly by tanya and she didn't care. you'd expect something to happen that would stop him from dying and making the situation not all that bad, but that expectation was wrong. there was no sad music (which is something that is done when one of the main characters die or something) and the enemy dude that was killed was seen saying his daughter's name as he fell to his death. that's some fucking savage shit right there, dude, holy shit. [/sp]i would not be surprised of other people didn't think it was such a big deal, but i just wanted to share my thoughts.

If you're talking about the anime version, I agree with you. But if you're talking about the Manga version, you're dead wrong. In the manga Tanya is absolutely adorable not only art wise, but how she carry's herself because of the desire to appear professional.
