Acca was good, but I saw the [sp]desert district suddenly finding oil to offset Furawau[/sp] detail coming a mile away
Kemono friends managing to turn a 4 rating to a 7.45 on mal is actually really fucking impressive. Goes to show how big the turnaround for the series was

It's p. crazy how popular it's gotten. final ep spoilers: [sp]I wonder if that hidden to be continued is legit and not just people's eyes playing tricks on them, I can see them riding the money train to another season.[/sp]

It is pretty incredible for an anime made by 10 dudes(not counting voice actors duh) with the budget of a potato

I was bored
I started Dagashi Kashi.
Been awhile since I laughed out loud from an anime.
Last time I laughed from an anime was One Punch Man.

Yeah that was like a year ago.
I forgot to watch episode 8 of ACCA, so yesterday when i watched the finale there was one detail that really confused me
but the 4koma isn't even funny, it just has the bkub thing going for it

Attack on titan s2 will only have 2 volumes aka it's 1 cour. That's pretty disssapointing.
That's actually really ssurprising. You would think they would have greenlit more episodes due to how huge the series is.
[editline]30th March 2017[/editline]
Especially after so much wait for S2 . pretty disappointing
My grasp on the story progression for the manga is a bit warped since I took a long break from reading it but do you think they'll be able to reach the [sp]Erwin's Final Charge against Monkey Trouble[/sp]?
I think that would be a good stopping point and season climax but I feel like that's a bit too deep in the story.
So Steam is selling anime now.

Or maybe they'll stretch two volumes out to two cours

You don't understand how the japanese anime industry works do you, I've only seen a 2 cour show with this few volumes like one time and it was cause it fucking bombed.
well WIT Studio's already got Magus Bride and another movie coming up in 2017 so they probably doesn't have the time and staffs to make 2 cours for SnK S2 this season

Story based source material doing 1 cours always end up badly. It's just how it is.
I hope the product of AoT Season 2 is good, but I doubt it.

Is that girl's neck in your avatar supposed to be that long?
Oh yes, OH YES!

It is true after all! Symphogear is not dead!

it only necessarily ends up badly if the adaptation tries to do the whole story in 1 cour, which AoT isn't trying to do

Of course it's not dead, it had two seasons announced in advance. It couldn't possibly be more alive.
I just finished all of Symphogear like a week ago, so this announcement couldn't have come at a better time. Hype.
So I saw Ghost in the Shell.
It was a very pretty and sparkly abomination that wears the franchise as a skin without embodying any of the character (point to be made about how it's a shell without the ghost of the franchise.) The characters are only vaguely like any of their other incarnations at any point, it only pays vapid lip service to just a few of the themes of the franchise, the plot is threadbare and cliched, and the writing is awful schlock that isn't even bad enough to be funny, with acting that, outside Batou and Aramaki, is completely lifeless and boring.
Takeshi Kitano as Aramaki however was the best part of the acting, except for when he was sitting in chairs and looked like a drooping corpse.
It wasn't even like a bad fanfiction, it was so dispassionate and uninspired. It felt more like a director teaming up with an effects studio to create a great entry for their portfolio than someone trying to make a good Ghost in the Shell movie, or even a good movie. The visuals were the remarkable part, and that's frankly it. The action scenes weren't even that good. Even the ones directly ripped from the other movies and the series.

Her collar is just huge, it makes her neck look a bit weird.

Depends on what story material it's covering, if it is able to end at the right moment and whether the content will be only pure action.
I honestly think it's a shame the biggest hit couldn't get the production committees' to approve of a 24 epsiode second season.
yeah i can agree with what you said. though i think scarjo didn't do a terrible job, but batou and aramaki were the best characters in the movie. i'd be lying if i said i didn't like the aesthetics of the city, to me that was it's greatest thing going for it in a sea of mediocre decisions
i mentioned it in the discord but i feel like part of the movie wanted to to make use of GITS themes but was too afraid of seeming "too smart" for the viewers, so they dumbed everything down to the point where it makes no sense. you have them replication iconic scenes from the 1995 movie without any sort of context, a total waste of time.
now relating to the twist
[sp] i found the idea that major was actually a japanese person stuck into a white persons body against her will to be one of the more stupid twists in the movie. as if the movie wanted to turn away from the whitewashing accusation by saying "see!? the major was a japanese girl all along! and she's named mokoto to boot!" [/sp]
in the end it's a meh action flick, better than any of the past US made movies with manga/anime as a source material but that not's a huge feat tbf

Edge of tomorrow was good though (haven't read original)
to be honest i have forgotten edge of tommorow was a thing and based on a light novel
when i think western adaptation of source material my mind immediately goes to trash it seems
i read all you need is kill before watching edge of tomorrow
the ending wasn't as feel-good in the LN iirc but i think it was a pretty good adaptation. i liked the LN better, but the movie was pretty good too
