Your name spoilers [sp]The time travel in Your Name is literally just magic to advance the plot with absolutely no thought put into it, but it's not even really a time travel movie as it's more concerned with other plot points.[/sp]
[sp]I actually thoroughly disagree, I thought there was a lot of thought put into the time travel details as well, the movie is incredibly detailed about why it does[/sp]
the longest light novel title I know of is "Danshi Koukousei de Urekko Light Novel Sakka wo Shiteiru keredo, Toshishita no Classmate de Seiyuu no Onnanoko ni Kubi wo Shimerareteiru."
the longest anime title I can think of is the full title for noucome
Finally got caught up on the last two episodes of Youjo Senki. [sp]I don't know if it was just me, but the dog fighting in Episode 11 was great to watch.[/sp]
I finally saw Your Name yesterday, and didn't realize before going into it that the director also made Voices of a Distant Star and The Place Promised in our Early Days. The guy really has a thing for guys and girls who want to be together but are kept apart by some tragic fantastical circumstance.
I haven't seen 5 Centimeters per Second yet but I'm gonna guess it has a similar story?

Longest manga title for what I'm reading is "Gun-Ota ga Mahou Sekai ni Tensei shitara, Gendai Heiki de Guntai Harem wo Tsukucchaimashita!?"
Akashic Records feels like an anime that would've come out a decade or two ago.
It's great, I hope it continues to be good

:worried:
I watched the first episode of What do you do at the End of the World etc etc. I couldn't help but think of this (spoilers I guess?) at the end of the episode.
Anyways, it feels like a show with a semi-decent fantasy/sci-fi setting that'll be smothered in dull rom-com - possibily harem - hijinks. Hopefully I'm wrong.
We call it sukasuka or cyka. And i heard you should prepare for emotional ride with it.
I am prepared.

thought I was in the Dota 2 megathread for a sec
finished Hunter x Hunter (2011)
fantastic show, definitely the best shounen i've seen so far
only took me about a month to watch even though it was 148 episodes, it just flew by
i didnt like the first episode but after that i was hooked, and it only kept getting better overtime
even though it's a shounen it's well written and manages to avoid most shounen tropes, making it very unpredictable at times
would recommend checking it out if you haven't

I hate how the females have completely different proportions (head size etc) to the males, prime example in the first episode

i didn't notice that at all, do you have an example?

How did you even mix them up
How did you even mix them up
I haven't seen either one
the One Piece manga has finally regained its momentum
I am hype as fuck for the next chapter
Saekano Season 2 is actually available on Prime Video in Canada, I don't have to wait 11 hours for some group to sub the raws like last season!
So... Uhh... Funi just posted this:

Please be real.
[sp]I actually thoroughly disagree, I thought there was a lot of thought put into the time travel details as well, the movie is incredibly detailed about why it does[/sp]
[sp]if the body connection is related to the comet why is there a 3 year gap - the comet comes every thousand(?) years, not every 3 years - i don't see any logical reasoning for the 3 year gap
why does drinking the kuchikamizake cause the body swapping to start again, and more specifically, with a slightly larger time gap this time that conveniently allows taki to save mitsuha and the town?
what is twilight and why does it negate the time and universe gap and allow them to see and feel each other physically?
why does mitsuhas grandma bring up (heavily suggest) that she body swapped when she was younger and never brings it up again? why did grandma body swap when she was young when, again, the comet cycles every thousand years, not every 60 years or however long ago it was when grandma was mitsuha's age?[/sp]
the movie was good but i feel like it didnt do a great job of conveying its logic at some points
Occultic 9 was fucking incredible and anyone who enjoys good mystery/thriller/scifi is hamstringing themselves by not watching it.
I'm literally giddy from the ending. Fucking incredible.
Praise the NEET God
Saw A silent voice, very good movie. Didn't expect it to be so depressing at times.
The manga is pretty good too, I'm curious as to what the movie trims down to fit it's running time. I'd assume nothing important.
