I decided to watch SAO after watching the abridged series and hearing plenty of unfavorable reviews. Honestly the first episode seemed high potential to me, but the breaking point was after they beat the first boss. Kirito's lame ass personality and the beginning of the uwu anime girl trope sank in and I immediately lost all interest. It's a shame because I really liked the artstyle and initial presentation of the setting.
Just finished reading the bokurano manga. [sp]Nakama's story and her mom's reaction to her death hurt me the most.[/sp]
picked up and finished Boku wa Mari no Naka today, pretty enjoyable. while I was on the binge I also started Koe no Katachi and I've read maybe two thirds now, gives me some serious Onani Master vibes. [editline]12th May 2017[/editline] kinda sucks that whenever I read romance stuff the main girl is always one of the least interesting ones though. why can't the nips cater to my taste
It's directed by Obari himself, which is probably why the new GM HG has taken the Obari workout.
Obari is directing the "Battlogue" short which seems to be a collection of various battles. GM's Counterattack is being done by the original S1 staff, including director Kenji Nagasaki who is currently directing My Hero Academia

Maybe I'll get at least one fight in an OVA where the GMs aren't going out of their way to act as retarded as possible to make Zeon look better. There hasn't been a single OVA besides maybe Igloo where the writers have figured out how to portray Zeon as scrappy underdogs without making the Federation a bunch of brain-dead idiots who don't fight back and couldn't put their pants on in the morning without a Gundam to assist them.
Mappa, continuing the tradition of being able to choreograph and animate dance sequences well. https://streamable.com/uhatx

I really like Inspector Lunge's English voice actor. He fits the role perfectly.
caught up with Fire Punch this has gone all kinds of fucking insane [sp]"Brother, become Fire Punch for me"[/sp] oh my fucking god
Initial D - (7/10). I read the manga till Second stage finished. Then watched the rest as anime. Got exposed to Eurobeat. Fourth Stage was great. Fifth and Final had too much bystander dialogue and everybody looked retarded. Barely character development too. Ending was weak as I hoped for a re-match of Keisuke and Takumi. Takumis mega drift in Fifth Stage episode 1 was amazing though. I wasn't interested at all in cars but this series really made me appreciate cars a lot. I want an AE86 now.
the One Piece manga has finally regained its momentum I am hype as fuck for the next chapter
Oda has learned that the Dressrosa arc was too long. His pacing with the Zou and Whole Cake Island arcs are really, really good.
I think my favourite stages of the anime were the first two. I love Initial D.
I think my favourite stages of the anime were the first two. I love Initial D.
Seen Initial D Legend 1-3 yet? They are pretty good at re-telling the first stage with beautiful animations. Sadly without Eurobeat. I didn't like how the later stages (Fifth and Final) had so many races with so many characters. There was so little characterization. First, second (both from manga) and fourth were great.
I had no idea that was a thing, thanks.
I haven't watched them, but while it looks great it really puts me off that they recast pretty much everyone and removed eurobeat from premises
Yeah that's quite disappointing. The two most negative aspects of the three movies.
I really like Inspector Lunge's English voice actor. He fits the role perfectly.
I found the dub of Monster to be really good. Granted I'm not a real big stickler in the neverending subs vs dubs debate but still.
caught up with Fire Punch this has gone all kinds of fucking insane [sp]"Brother, become Fire Punch for me"[/sp] oh my fucking god
Fire Punch is one of the most hilariously ingenious things I've ever read. It's so fucking whacky and over the top I can't help but love it.
I'm about to finish Toradora! with my girlfriend, anyone have any similar recommendations? We both really like the grounded wackyness and romantic aspect of it, and are looking for something else to watch after we are done. Thanks (:

Clannad
Jesus Christ, nothing happened! The only interesting arc was Fuko-chan's and the dad story, but the overall first season just went nowhere. Anyways, my girlfriend just introduced me to Ao No Exorcist, she's rewatching it with me and it's really fucking good. However the DVD she has is just recordings of Toonami, is there any way to download better quality episodes? [editline]13th May 2017[/editline] Also, is there anything else similar to Ao No Exorcist you guys recommend?

Someone subbed the New Game OVA to French, then from French to English. It had such amazing subs as "atsui" being translated to "it's cold." Still a great OVA, can't wait for season 2.
i'm feeling a bond with this guy [vid]https://my.mixtape.moe/vnxnef.webm[/vid]
new episode of LWA was pretty underwhelming [sp] i'm glad we finally have a diana episode though. though it's clear that episode 20 is where we will see the real action. sorta expecting an epic fight with the unicorn statue they showed at the entrance to diana's mansion [/sp]
Re:Talkers was a big improvement this week, Meteora only talked for five minutes this time. It also introduced best girl, because god knows we were in desperate need of characters who aren't actively putting you to sleep with how dull they are. This is going to be one of those shows where I'm on the villain's side if only because they aren't as unbelievably boring as the heroes.

Well its 25 episodes so when that happens we will get it on American Netflix. We are currently at 19 so six more episodes
hostage? But I've been watching every episode so far!
This murder mystery is making me feel warm and fuzzy inside. Oh Monster, how I love your filler.
I found the dub of Monster to be really good. Granted I'm not a real big stickler in the neverending subs vs dubs debate but still.
dunno about the dub but i thought monster was mediocre, i dont really get why its rated so highly
dunno about the dub but i thought monster was mediocre, i dont really get why its rated so highly
It started out really good but things seem to keep getting more convoluted. I'm only on episode 20, not sure how it gets by 70.
This murder mystery is making me feel warm and fuzzy inside. Oh Monster, how I love your filler.
There's no filler in monster [editline]15th May 2017[/editline] Monster is fantastic imo, I'm reading the Manga atm and I watched the Anime a couple of years ago.
