There's no filler in monster [editline]15th May 2017[/editline] Monster is fantastic imo, I'm reading the Manga atm and I watched the Anime a couple of years ago.
There's episodes with self-contained plot that don't affect the story arc, I consider those filler even if they aren't bad.
There's episodes with self-contained plot that don't affect the story arc, I consider those filler even if they aren't bad.
That is not what filler means:
filler A segment of anime, whether it be an entire episode or part of one, which does not appear in the manga of the title. Fillers, as the name implies, "fills" an episode with non-canonical material which has been written usually by the same company which animates it.
Finished the first season of aots, but I remember getting spoiled by something way back but I don't recall it happening [sp]Something about a survey corps(?) member describing getting eaten and a titan seemingly trying to apologize or something[/sp] Am I missing an ova or something?

Make sure to check out the No Regrets OVA too, it's a great backstory piece/spinoff.
Just finished watching Mononoke. The anime has unique artstyle, like those Ukiyo-e paintings And medicine seller is pretty badass Its too bad the anime only last for 12 episode (15 if you also count the original arc from ayakashi)
I watched Grave of the Fireflies last night. I cried.
Fire Punch is one of the most hilariously ingenious things I've ever read. It's so fucking whacky and over the top I can't help but love it.
? [sp]a bunch of innocent children burning alive[/sp] isn't exactly hilarious
? [sp]a bunch of innocent children burning alive[/sp] isn't exactly hilarious
It's morbid and tragic, but it's also filled with the most absurd dark humor. What's funny isn't the [sp]burning children,[/sp] it's the [sp]things like how the main character is trying to become a karate movie star in a desolate wasteland with nobody to watch the film[/sp] and everything else that happens around these morbid set pieces that seem more like they belong in a comedy manga than the world the characters are currently living in. The constant revelations about each other and their world are so abrupt and bizarre it causes you to chuckle before feeling bad about it. That's why Fire Punch is so good. Also, if you think a bunch of [sp]burning children[/sp] is the funniest thing in Fire Punch, you're pretty fucked up man.
well uh [sp]Togata also just died a horrible death, so no more humour of any kind[/sp] these last 3-4 chapters have been everything but funny
I never said the last few chapters were funny. I said Fire Punch is funny (at least, at many times). Don't put words in my mouth bro
My friend is watching evangelion for the first time, 20 episodes in, and he's telling me his theories and predictions on Skype, then he made this guess about Gendo's goal: (NGE spoilers) http://i.imgur.com/cVqgGqQ.png *sweating*

Aots ep 30 spoilers: [sp]Maybe she didn't fucking tell anyone she was a titan because first time someone turned out to be one you tried to facefuck it with a HE shell, and then try to dissect it[/sp] [sp]I'm not saying this is why she hid it, but it's a good fucking reason[/sp] :v:

Shuumatsu Nani Shitemasuka Isogashii Desuka Sukutte Moratte Ii Desuka has kind of been a failure of a show. Up until now, Shuumatsu Nani Shitemasuka Isogashii Desuka Sukutte Moratte Ii Desuka was just okay. Everything about the show from the characters to the plot to the action is resoundingly "meh". But a show like Shuumatsu Nani Shitemasuka Isogashii Desuka Sukutte Moratte Ii Desuka that wants to be emotional and tragic needs to be a hell of a lot more than okay, so when it's trying to have a big emotional scene like in this episode and I feel absolutely nothing I'm starting to actively dislike it. Disliking it would be the strongest emotional reaction it's getting out of me. It just falls short of everything it's trying to do.Everything just feels so underdeveloped, and the setting hasn't seized any of its potential. It feels like it wanted to jump straight to tragic without putting any of the effort in first, and it's not helped by the fact that Ctholly is the dullest character in an uninteresting and underdeveloped cast. You can't just go "wow look at the adorable children bad things are going to happen to them" and expect me to care based on premise alone. Not that going for shock value would be much better, but it's been weirdly hesitant to actually go through with that anyway. But the worst part of all is that Shuumatsu Nani Shitemasuka Isogashii Desuka Sukutte Moratte Ii Desuka is a fucking stupid title. "sukasuka" is not any better.

The sixth season of Natsume has been a lineup of fantastic episodes. I can't recommend the series enough if you haven't watched it, and I really hope they continue to crank new seasons out. This week's episode was my favourite of the season so far.

SukaSuka is just not as good at setting it's tone as it needs to be. And despite what I know the show wants me to think, [sp]I'm still kinda pro-fairy child solider. I mean, MC's alternative is the slow but inevitable annihilation of civilisation. Also, is no one mad at her for splitting the sky island in half? I mean, sure it was going to be abandoned after the beast attack but surely they could be recolonised and rebuilt after they beat the thing?[/sp]

The situation is grey, but I can't tell if I'm intended to possibly disagree with him or not or if it's just a writing fumble that I don't think he's morally right. Either way he's a limp character despite having the most characterization and development. I could go on and on about stuff like how little we know about everybody, even Ctholly herself, but you get the point. It's a shame to see a fantasy series that's reaching higher than most fantasy series that tend to get adapted end up falling very short.
So I went to watch Yugioh VRAINS out of morbig curiosity I dont understand any of this The real and virtual world occupy the same space I guess, so you have to catch an AI program physically but still use computers at the same time? The MC turns the AI everyone wants into a dueling program so they have to play yugioh to get it?? They don't cover their computers' webcams despite hacking against 2 mega cyber corporations??? Also dis nigga's hair [editline]17th May 2017[/editline] OH MY GOD NOW THEY'RE SURFING ON DATA WAVES WHAT

I heard the premise and thought it was decently interesting, and a few different season intro podcasts had good things to say about it. I hadn't picked it up yet but i was planning to. Might as well pick up something better instead. By the way, if you guys want to watch a bit of cute romance done right, you should check out tsuki ga kirei. It's really nice and actually has a satisfying romance plot that goes someone. The art on the characters is a little janky but some of the backgrounds are shinkai-esque. Feels kinda like a low budget shinkai film, complete with teenage romance drama.
Just watched Koe no Kotachi, holy shit this movie is 2 hours long. [editline]18th May 2017[/editline] I'll have you guys know I only cried for 5 minutes. [editline]18th May 2017[/editline] 10 minutes [editline]18th May 2017[/editline] Ok I cried a lot.

Touch is good. Can I admit that? It's like something I should have watched when I was 14. Not 23.

I never bothered listening to the Re:Zero OST after finishing the show https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CJiG15euUes this song legitimately scares the shit out of me like it actually gives me the chills.. and not the good ones help

Wtf, Touch. It's the most relaxed anime ever, plot barely ever moves. Suddenly huge plot twist that changes everything. [sp]Seriously the whole show was the contest between the two brothers, it finally gets interesting and he dies? I feel like it's just a coma and he has to just suddenly wake up for some reason.[/sp] [editline]19th May 2017[/editline] Ok, I can see where they are going with this.
