[sp]They really don't know what to do with Black Widow, do they?[/sp]
You mean in term of her relevance to the team of super powered people?
Because they don't really know what to do with the character either
I think the issue is simply that she has nothing to do besides ride a motorcycle and fight unarmed humans.
Like, you need something done at range? Hawkeye. You need some raw bruiser potential to clear a room? Cap. Need some tech shit done? Tony.
Literally every other Avenger fills her niche better; the only truly useful thing she's ever done was trick Loki into outing his plan way way back in the first Avengers (and even then, it's like, surprise, the trickster god is trying to trick us into fighting each other, shocker).
I almost feel like she shouldn't even bother showing up in Avengers movies, just in places like the Cap films where she isn't so all-around out-classed in terms of ways her character can affect both the plot and action.
Not to mention how I really REALLY thought we'd have that Black Widow/Hawkeye buddy spy movie by now, it's such a low-hanging fruit it's practically touching the grass.

Yeah but dude, she got a TRAGIC BACKSTORY (TM)
That fucking line about infertility Christ Almighty. Age of Ultron gets weirder and weirder the further we get from it.
I like to forget age of ultron exists. mainly because it doesnt actually add anything or build up to something for the next movies

I think it does. It sets up Vision, poorly sets up Thor 3, sets up Tony's guilt complex for Civil War and Homecoming, Civil War's Sokovia Accords, probably more that I am forgetting. It may not have been that great but it does its fair share of stage setting.
I'm almost glad Age of Ultron was so crummy, because it made everyone realize all the hack shit Joss Whedon does in literally every movie he makes.
As much as I love Doctor Horrible and Cabin in the Woods, so much of what he makes is painfully mediocre (if not outright bad) yet everyone kisses his balls because he's "the god of geeks" or whatever. It felt good seeing his usual "buhh, the evil smelly studio ruined muh movie, this is everyone's fault but mine" schtick get called out for what it was.

[sp]Ah yes my favourite Iron Man arc, the one where Tony turns into Blue Beetle[/sp]

[sp]Doesn't Tony have some already established deep space suits?[/sp]

He did, but it was blown up in Iron Man 3
Wow, you're not even exaggeration, that's literally just [sp]Jaime Reyes, right down to the wings and weirdly-organic looking arm cannons[/sp].

I stand by my earlier prediction that this armour is based on the Bleeding Edge
What bugs me is that Black Widow seems like a new character every film. Even in stuff like Cap 2 and Civil War - which were, at least theoretically, done by the same people, she's different.
Also, the whole infertility thing is painfully lame. "we don't know what to do with a character, let's do one of the most overused plot devices a female character can be in". The thing with The Hulk seemed promising, but it probably won't go anywhere even in Infinity War - too much stuff going on
why don't they just use her for, well, spy shit? winter soldier did that, and it's the character at its best. get her to infiltrate shit, find out information, impersonate others etc. all she does is punch people in the face
So basically, Kevin [Feige] pulled me aside before this, and said, 'If you were gonna do a... if we were going to do a standalone Hulk movie, what would it be?' And I said, 'I think it should be this, this, this, and this and this, and ends up like this.' And he's like, 'I love that. Why don't we do that in the next three movies, starting with Thor 3 and then we go into Avengers 3 and 4.' And I was like, 'That sounds great!' And so we are at the beginning of this arc.
Hulk speaking is the start to separating of these two individuals, these identities in this split-identity person, and where that's going to end up going. So it was really interesting to me. He's like a baby! He's like a five year old or six year old. So he has the same syntax, he has the same world view, and so it was fun. It's like Chris [Hemsworth] - we all got to reinvent our characters in this.
I finally watched Iron Fist, and I'm finally watching Defenders. I have come to one singular conclusion:
DANNY RAND IS THE DUMBEST FUCK IN THE MARVEL CINEMATIC UNIVERSE.
Tom Hiddelston continues to be a really solid comedic actor. This movie is gonna be a hoot.

that actually looks pretty interesting set in a superhero world.
This is the start of their new x-men series right?
I don't think it's been confirmed a series but it's nice to see Fox continue the trend of alt-hero films. It makes me annoyed we didn't get a proper O5 film tho
Looks weird, but I'm glad someone is experimenting. I hope it's good, if only to show Marvel that everything doesn't have to be an offbeat pseudo-comedy, while also showing WB that things can be dark without being a convoluted mess.
Cool, Martin Freeman's American accent is a bit cringey
I hope the action scenes with T'Calla and Killmonger are cut deliberately so you can tell them apart. The gold accents and the purple emulated light aren't enough if you ask me.
Why hip hop? Would've rather heard something more African
Why hip hop? Would've rather heard something more African
I think the demographic they are going for with this film is kind of culturally disconnected from "authentic" African culture. It's more about African American culture, especially since it's an MCU movie. I don't mean this in any way, other than I just think marketing is looking to get the mainstream black audience involved.
It's also releasing during Black History Month, which is pretty American.
To be fair, Wakanda is more an American fantasy projected onto Africa then an African fantasy. It's Black Camelot.
Good reviews for Ragnarok:
