[sp]Diamondback[/sp] was the weakest villain in Luke Cage tbh
[sp]Diamondback[/sp] was the weakest villain in Luke Cage tbh
[sp]He hammed it up real good when he first showed up. I mean, I loved it, it was great because it made sense that this big boss figure built up to be the baddest of the baddest would be ruthless, but eccentric. I just wish his goals and motivations matched his on screen presence[/sp]

He was a nice alternative to Mariah who was just a bit boring IMO (although she got pretty good with Shades at the end). I agree that his background was too much though. Like others have said, the Star Wars reveal on the brother thing wasn't believable, and then he just didn't kill him, seemingly intentionally, only to be mad about it later. You can write that off as 'he cray' if you like, but to me it looked a lot like lazy writing because all of these shows arbitrarily have to be 13 episodes long.[/sp] Also not sure if you guys are fans of the Weekly Planet, but they made a good point in their review: [sp]The garbage truck scene would have been much more natural if Diamondback had shot Luke Cage on a bridge or something and then he'd fallen into a truck that was already moving without the driver realising (due to it being a noisy garbage truck etc), because him being shot back into a parked truck that just pulls away with Diamondback not giving any chase whatsoever is just weird.[/sp]

Finished Luke Cage. [sp]Shades was far and away the most compelling villain because he didn't really hold the idiot ball at any point. While everyone else was dealing with intense emotion and freaking out about their personal stake in situations, this motherfucker never rose beyond being mildly frustrated and kept his cool. Mariah is a politician and begins talking to police in custody, and this dude is smart enough to not say shit without a lawyer. I was actively rooting for him when Zip attempted to assassinate him.[/sp]
[sp]Diamondback[/sp] was the weakest villain in Luke Cage tbh
i'm only up through episode 11 of luke cage, but [sp]the moment he shot misty at harlem's paradise took me so far out of respecting him as a villain. "yeah everyone! open fire in a crowded building and take hostages, we'll just pin it all on luke cage!" i don't know if he's supposed to be blinded by his revenge or what, but i felt insulted by how terrible of a job he did of 'winging it'[/sp]
Here' something I don't get in Luke Cage (spoiler around after the first half, can't remember when): [sp]when Misty gets Diamondback's face from the camera that filmed him kill a cop, why didn't she go to her boss and say "Btw, Luke Cage didn't kill this cop, we have video prooving it was someone else"? I know she tells her boss that Diamondback is shady, but she never tells her, or any of the trigger happy destructive cops running around town beating kids, that Luke Cage is innocent of that crime.[/sp]
Just got to the part where Mariah [sp]kills Cottonmouth[/sp] that has to be the shittiest death for that dude.
I'm sorry but I laughed at that scene where Luke cries. That was some strange acting :v:
So the Power Man's finally come out of his hole? Are you ready now... brother?
So the Power Man's finally come out of his hole? Are you ready now... brother?
"CAN YOU DIG IT!?" "This is when the panties drop." "Negro please." Why did Diamondback have all the good lines.
Just got to the part where Mariah [sp]kills Cottonmouth[/sp] that has to be the shittiest death for that dude.
It was the best way to do it tho. I was genuinely surprised when it happened. Unlike say [sp]Wesley. The moment he was in a room with Karen you knew he was toast.[/sp]

The moment he was in a room with Karen you knew he was toast.[/sp]
i liked [DD spoilers][sp]that he slipped up and let karen end up with his gun, though. that little twist made everything more natural. real life is often awkward like that. and the way he tried to slither out of it was perfectly in character, too[/sp]
https://facepunch.com/showthread.php?t=1433677&highlight= Let's see if Cumberbatch is bad as Strange.
holy fucking shit it's already been 2 years since that announcement?
Anyone think that last X-men movie didn't live up to Xmen: Future Past? Just rented it, apocalypse seemed to be every generic cartoon villain ever, it was like; so your plan is to [sp]Re make the world just like every other villain, then it just ended up easing all the good that happened in Future Past [/sp] Regarding Luke Cage [sp] Why is everyone giving Diamondback so much shit? He was pretty scary, he just killed all Cottonmouth's clients.[/sp] Love to talk about Doctor Strange but they delayed the release in Australia for ....some reason.
holy fucking shit it's already been 2 years since that announcement?
Oh damn it's probably too late for them to realise their mistake and recast Viggo Mortensen in the lead role
Oh damn it's probably too late for them to realise their mistake and recast Viggo Mortensen in the lead role
I still feel like Viggo would be perfect. He freaking naturally looks like Doctor Strange.
