Reminder that I really wish they were doing this instead of whatever (I'm sure totally acceptable) thing they're doing instead:
Saw an amazing theory on /co/. What if the big final fight with Thanos is the first ten minutes of the movie? We don't get any lead up, it just starts with everyone getting bodied. He shows up for the Time Gem and just slaughters everyone. Strange is the only one left standing, so he uses the Eye to go back in time and warn everyone (as opposed to the Silver Surfer falling through his skylight like in the comics), so the whole rest of the movie is just everyone trying to prevent their upcoming deaths. This way you get to ratchet up the tension (since they're literally going up against a 100% mortality rate from the get-go) along with a ticking clock element. Plus, the marketing guys get a bunch of footage of people dying to put in the trailers. And even better, you get a free shocker when some characters STILL die even after Strange warns them.
Either way, Infinity War had better end with him assembling the gauntlet and snapping his fingers, smash cut to black, right into credits. No post-credits scene.
The problem here is that this premise was apparently also the core of movies like Iron Man 3, Thor 2: The Dark World and Thor: Ragnarok, and we all saw how those turned out, didn't we?
besides DW, pretty damn good?
My only concerns with a Disney/Fox buyout when it comes to Marvel are Deadpool related. I hope they'll let anything having to do with him slide, at the very least, but I get the feeling they're either going to reduce him to a cameo status in other movies or will give him a third film but it'll be PG-13, all of this happening after Deadpool 2 releases of course.
I hope the Doctor Doom solo is repurposed as the FF's introduction to the MCU. Instead of yet another FF movie off the bat, do a completely accurate Doom movie. He's got a lot of potential for it. [editline]28th November 2017[/editline] Hell if they wanted to, they could make Doctor Strange 2 an adaptation of Triumph and Torment.
I fucking loved triumph and torment. Doom would be introduced so well in dr strange 2

looks like they might succeed in bringing some genuine emotional value to the film
looks like they might succeed in bringing some genuine emotional value to the film
Will one of them die and which one is likely to?
seeing some of the avengers with the wakandian army was super badass
I saw some plot 'leaks' on 4chan the other day that match up with this trailer, oh god.
Will one of them die and which one is likely to?
Cap is the clear pick (since Evans has stated he doesn't want to do this forever), but my money's on Tony. RDJ is getting old and expensive, it'd make sense to wrap up his character arc with a grand sacrifice (getting that Avengers poetry in there) and start pushing the next generation of Avengers (especially Spidey) as the new faces of the franchise. Cap will die, but I'm willing to bet he'll come back. [editline]29th November 2017[/editline] I also heard that RDJ wanted to begin transitioning into more of a producer role with Marvel Studios, so that'd work nicely too. [editline]29th November 2017[/editline]
I saw some plot 'leaks' on 4chan the other day that match up with this trailer, oh god.
I still don't think I buy those, basically everything we got in this trailer (Wakandan Army, Hulkbuster, etc.) was in that leaked trailer from a few months ago. The bulk of those "leaks" was stuff we already knew paired with wild curveballs like [sp]Gamora dying and Thor's new axe being partially made out of Groot[/sp]. I also think they mentioned that Thor gets his eye back like immediately. Far as I'm concerned, I don't buy it until [sp]we get confirmation that Peter Dinklage is playing the giant dwarf who forged Mjolnir[/sp].
There are some other things in this new trailer that confirm the leaks, like [sp] Banner being in Wakanda, Tony never once shown being anyhwere near Wakanda, Banner stood next to the Hulkbuster arm & then the armour suddenly appearing in battle even though Tony is nowhere near. [/sp] I think they're true tbh. Time will tell.

Is it safe to assume [sp]the last infinity stone is in Wakanda given that Thanos's army seems to be invading it?[/sp]
Link?
I can't link you because it's 4chan and gone by now, I'll sum up everything I remember Potentially HUGE SPOILERS for INFINITY WAR. DO NOT OPEN OR QUOTE, THEY COULD BE FAKE, COULD BE REAL [sp] - Cap (now calling himself Nomad), Widow and Falcon have minor roles; Hawkeye & Ant-Man have chosen not to join their team 'The Secret Avengers', Scarlet Witch is with Vision . They appear at the beginning to get Vision to Wakanda so they can extract the Mind Stone from him and protect it (I guess they fail at this) and at the end to aid T'Challa in defending Wakanda/The Soul Stone (rumoured to be in The Heart Tree, not confirmed yet) from Thanos - Loki trades the Space stone in exchange for both his life and the Asgardian refugee's lives. Thanos beats Thor up and throws him into space. - Banner makes it back to Earth in an escape pod, can no longer transform into the Hulk for some reason. He ends up in Wakanda and aids with the final battle, initially piloting the Hulkbuster Mk2 until one of Thanos' generals (I can't remember their names, sorry lads) tears open the chest and plucks Banner out. He transforms into the Hulk and kills this general. - Bucky is unfrozen & given a new arm to help with the battle in Wakanda - Hawkeye joins The Secret Avengers in Wakanda to aid in the battle - One of Thanos' generals invades the New York sanctum and mindfucks everyone in here. Steals the Time stone. This ignites a rivalry with Dr Strange. - Tony is the main star of the movie, him and Strange become good friends. He goes into space after the time stone is stolen and meets up with Thor/The Guardians, I think Dr. Strange tags along. 100% sure that Spider-Man goes too. Lots of humour between Tony/Drax and Spider-Man/Teen Groot. - Thor does not regain his lost eye. Him and the Guardians (unsure if Tony is with them at this point) go to see the Dwarf King who forged Mjolnir AND The Infinity Gauntlet (played by Peter Dinklage). The big joke is that the 'dwarf king' is actually huge; Thor comes up to his knee. Thanos cut off his hands to ensure he couldn't make a weapon to match the Gauntlet. Thor finds an unfinished axe made from the same metal as Mjolnir, Groot gives some of his wood to make the handle. - Vision dies - Gamora dies when Thanos discovers he has to sacrifice a 'loved one' to gain control of the Soul stone. As Gamora is his daughter, he loves her as an asset. This spurs Nebula to join the Guardians against Thanos. The leaker didn't say how the film ends. I assume it ends with Thanos getting all of the stones and *snap* [/sp] I've probably missed some things out. This is all from memory.
Spoilers to go with the above. [sp]The one that plucks Banner from the Hulkbuster is Cull Obsidian, the one that goes to the Sactum is Ebony Maw.[/sp]
oh and! more potential IW spoilers: [sp] Red Skull makes a cameo, the Tesseract sent him to space and he's been living there ever since [/sp]
Am I the only one who's a teeny bit disappointed that it looks like the majority of it takes place on Earth? I mean I suppose that'll happen in the next one, but I don't wanna walk in with unrealistic expectations, you know?
I'm guessing infinity war takes place on earth while thanos gets the last infinity stone, then the second one has the wild cosmic bullshit that we love
What's more disappointing to me is that, if the rumours about the Soul Stone are true, [sp] most of the stones are on Earth. Lame. [/sp]

Oh god I'm so tempted to click the spoilers but I don't want to but I do HELP
Still not digging Black Widow's blonde hair. In one shot here I thought she had no eyebrows, boy was that not a good look.
[sp]I wonder if they made a thor eyepatch variant.[/sp]
[sp]they wouldn't need it since the eye he lost isn't seen in the art[/sp]
