I’ve always felt that he would be the [sp]Revolver Ocelot of the series, siding with Thanos only to destroy him later.[/sp]
[sp]Loki "shalamaladingdong" Trickster God Of Asgard[/sp]

Is Disney getting Fox guarantee the MCU getting X Men back or is there fine print and legal bullshit they have to hurdle through first?
Didn't Hugh Jackman say he would be Wolverine again if Xmen were apart of the MCU
He probably said that to keep good faith with his fans. Logan was such a good sendoff it’d be kind of a shame to see him come back. That said, it’d be kickass to see him come back with the MCU
I really doubt Marvel Studios will ask him to do anything more than a cameo. Jackman probably won't sign a multi-film contract, and soft-rebooting a character to only make him show up once - doesn't seem like a smart idea.
Is Disney getting Fox guarantee the MCU getting X Men back or is there fine print and legal bullshit they have to hurdle through first?
I imagine they would basically own the XMen again, but the Fantastic Four are owned by another company outside of Fox I think, so maybe the Fantastic Four would be the ones to be trapped behind print and legal issues.
This begs the question, who the hell could replace Jackman as Wolverine?
This begs the question, who the hell could replace Jackman as Wolverine?
I'd guess they will go the Homecoming route and won't do stuff that people have seen before, like Uncle Ben's death - so no Wolverine
what makes it so hard is that jackman not only nails the character so well, he was the only live action wolverine. I legit can't think of anyone who could pull the role (and looks) as well as the dude
I'm a little over halfway through the punisher. Gotta say, It's good, but I've got some serious complaints. First, the characters get way too... Lets say if they're bad, the show'll let you know they're bad. He did a bad thing for money? fair enough but far too reasonable, let's have him abuse his hospitalized mother so you know he's evil. A guy in the military is the problem? Let's make him incompetent, effeminate, and a massive M [sp] so his death feels deserved[/sp] , on the flipside, everyone has super hot wives so you have to like them. It's a really prevalent thing, maybe it's a staple of the comics, but it largely seems really contrived. Gunfights are pretty inconsistent. The one in the Autumn forest seemed like a lot of wasted potential (many wasted targets), but you've got a lot of pistol-ignores-armour and magical headshots going on too. Pointless sex scenes because mature rating. Really minor thing, but so far nothing has been super powered or anything (other than some fight coreography and how guns work, HA!) and I get that, but there's potential there. This guy kills the Marvel universe after all. [sp] Micro didn't get completely cucked 0/10[/sp]
This begs the question, who the hell could replace Jackman as Wolverine?
Michael J Fox He’s short and Canadian
This begs the question, who the hell could replace Jackman as Wolverine?
Peter Dinklage. No but seriously though; Tom Hardy, Iwan Rheon, and Kit Harrington could work well. Just get some dude who's either A) done a mix of insane character work and badass action or B) from Game of Thrones and you're set.
Well I mean if it was just down to be a Game of Thrones actor I'd say Pilou Asbæk. Iwan Rheon seems more like a Loki recasting if Tom Hiddleston got too old for the role... that and the whole Inhumans thing.
I'm pretty sure Jackman said he'd help decide who the next actor to play Wolverine would be. But if we did get mutants in the MCU I'm sure he wouldn't even get teased till the post-credit of the second X-Men film
I could see the first x men movie being around the jack kirby/stan lee era, and the second would most likely be based off of giant sized x men #1
Actually, I take that back, he should appear in a Hulk-centric film
Actually, I take that back, he should appear in a Hulk-centric film
weapon x could be teased in say, a captain america movie's end credits
Didn't Hugh Jackman say he would be Wolverine again if Xmen were apart of the MCU
Tom Holland's Spider-man and Jackman's Wolverine would be such a great duo. And Deadpool + Spider-man. man this fox deal would be so good for MCU, but will Disney do R rated films?
fantastic that jackmans being playing the part for closing on 20 years and its kept getting better. Is that heard of in any other franchise/actor combo
fantastic that jackmans being playing the part for closing on 20 years and its kept getting better. Is that heard of in any other franchise/actor combo
that james bond actor's been going strong for like, 50 fucking years. it's a shame that his history of plastic surgery is so obvious, guy looks like a different person every movie
Apparently Feige said they would be ok with doing R rated MCU movies but there has to be a reason for it.
How could they even introduce the X-Men to MCU at this point? Saying that they've been hiding all this time feels pretty lazy, especially since they could have helped deal with some of the more planet-shaking events.
Reality bending of some kind? They seemed to imply they would use the Quantum Realm, and since Ant-Man and the Wasp comes out after Infinity War - seems to make sense?
How could they even introduce the X-Men to MCU at this point? Saying that they've been hiding all this time feels pretty lazy, especially since they could have helped deal with some of the more planet-shaking events.
They've talked about "gifted" people which were probably people like Scarlet Witch and then inhumans. But with inhumans being a cancelled show and AoS likely ending after S5 they can just say those gifted people they were talking about are mutants. or the gauntlet will create mutants That does make me wonder, if the original Disney/Fox talks were happening around the time inhumans was being made as a movie? And as a sort of sign of good faith, or something, they threw it to the TV head to just make it a show that could crossover with AoS if it wasn't so bad.
Tom Holland's Spider-man and Jackman's Wolverine would be such a great duo. And Deadpool + Spider-man. man this fox deal would be so good for MCU, but will Disney do R rated films?
No toys in R rated films.
I feel like the whole "how are they gonna introduce mutants this late in the game" thing is just a particularly jagged turd we've all just gotta clench up and pass. Like, you don't want to just make them Inhumans (THEY CAME FROM ANOTHER DIMENSION/MAGIC SPACE SHIT INFECTED NORMAL PEOPLE AND ACTIVATED THE X GENE) or whatever, I almost feel like they should just say "yeah they've been here all along, this is just the first major time they're in the public eye". Could work really nicely as an allegory for LGBT and mental illness and all that; you get these stuck up old people being like "HARUMPH, EVERYONE WANTS TO BE A "GIFTED YOUNGSTER" THESE DAYS. WELL BACK IN MY DAY, WE DIDN'T HAVE THESE FREAKS RUNNING AROUND WANTING TO BE ACCEPTED" when the reality is that they've existed all this time, there was just no real diagnosis. You could have Xavier running a Men in Black type operation, where he and the X-Men are basically damage control; they roll in, neutralize a threat, and then Xavier mind-wipes everyone so that mutants can stay hidden. Now that the Avengers have reached prominence, he feels hopeful that maybe mankind is on the verge of accepting mutantkind being out in the open. [editline]6th December 2017[/editline] And if you wanted to play up the whole X-Men vs Brotherhood angle, you could make it so that, prior to modern day, mutations were pretty mundane (bone claws, telekinesis, etc.). But as time goes on, things have gotten crazier and crazier, so you have Xavier and Magneto trying to get a handle on these ever-evolving breeds of mutants that can level city blocks. Only Xavier wants to train them to control their abilities while Magneto wants to radicalize them for his own purposes. You get a really nice bit of conflict there, since they both essentially want to use these children as pawns, just in different ways and for different reasons.
Just realised that Gamora is basically Teyla From SGA.
No toys in R rated films.
To be fair, I don't think I've seen any MCU merchandise besides stuff like plastic masks. I've never seen any cross promotion either, and we have Star Wars merchandise everywhere in Russia
No toys in R rated films.
I don't know, I had Robocop and Aliens toys when I was a kid.
"Gifted" people have been in stuff before now, more so in the TV side than movies. They'd just have to have a movie or TV series where some powerful dickhead comes out and goes, "All these 'gifted' people aren't natural! They're mutants!" and bam, you've got it. Everyone takes it and runs with it, and you've got the mutant moniker and mutant discrimination.
