Speaking of Punisher. I started watching it and got horribly bored around episode 5 or so. Episode 1 had some great Punisher action but then it sort of shat the bed with this Homeland security bollocks. I did something I never normally do, and skipped 4 or so episodes and the show got good again. A pretty terrific finale.
You missed the reveal of the tweest!
[editline]9th December 2017[/editline]
Oh god Episode 8 was even more grim!
Just finished episode 7 of The Punisher. God damn, this show has been mildly entertaining, but the past couple of episodes have really dialed up the tension and the action (and the gore).
Last two episodes are brutal as fuck. I remember thinking to myself and laughing, "this takes place in the same universe as Guardians of the Galaxy."
Even with the yawnfest of the homeland security sideplot, this 1st season of Punisher was awesome. Bernthal nailed the performance.

I just finished episode 10. Jesus, so much gore. I loved the Punisher movie with Thomas Jane for it's over the top violence and gore, but this is just so much more grounded in reality, it's filthy and more than slightly disturbing.

About time. Felt largely overdue

i get getting bored in a show, but how could you skip episodes in a relatively short season of a plot heavy show?
like didn't you come back and go "why is the punisher pouting in a van about a sandwich" or some shit i mean come on

I remember the 2004 movie being pretty tame and War Zone was over the top blood
find it weird that latest ep season 5 of shield [sp]discusses multiverse theroy then immediately after drops a reference to earth-616[/sp]
So one thing that bothered me about the punisher.
You just received life threatening injuries to make something more dramatic? Guess we'll give you time to recover, oh, wait, the plot demands you, Just redo the makeup and you'll be good to go.

It was an overly long season for what the show should have been. The other Netflix shows have the same issue, too much padding to justify a 12 episode season. I'm not saying a 6 episode season ala the Defenders is the solution for every show, but this show definitely didn't need 12 episodes to start on the rails, derail the train, get going again and then stall at the finish line by saying "abloo bloo I don't have a war to fight after gouging a mans eyes out and mangling a guys face in broken glass". You get the Vietnam call-backs where he says Yes to his War and No to his family and then try to reconcile Frank in the final line of dialogue as anything but a mass-murderer of people who deserve to get murdered.
I didn't feel like I'd missed anything that I wouldn't miss if I got up to go to the toilet during a film, nothing a "oh X happened" couldn't remedy and I saved three or so hours. The contrivance of Franks Family being killed in anything but a Gangland-shootout was irritating, because if you remove that then the entire Homeland/CIA arc doesn't need to be in the show. You can have it be a sting operation gone wrong which was what DD2 introduced it as. You can still have Anvil in the show as a fourth-party beyond Frank/Micro, Homeland and the Vets group. You'd have Frank spend an episode or two interacting with each group in relatively self-contained instances that're more true to the Comics, loosely tied together by Karen trying to find Frank as his involvement with the groups is made more evident. Then you're not spending half of each episode watching people walk around offices and talk, and you get to the bits that people watch a Punisher TV show for a lot easier.

[sp]I missed the Earth-616 reference, what was it?[/sp]

[sp]Lots of rocks are tagged with different names, and there's this giant rock that Virgil was really interested into, it had the code 616[/sp]
Shield is really fantastic at the moment, even the fight scenes, while quite short are still better than some in the netflix shows

FROM THE STUDIO THAT BROUGHT YOU THE EMOJI MOVIE
I'm a little cautious about this but the animation style is interesting and it's nice that it's not live action

Boy am i way more interested in everything besides Miles himself.
I actually saw some people arguing that superhero movies should gradually transition to all being CGI. Since, as time goes on, CG animation is just gonna allow for more and more experimentation that just wouldn't work in live action. So you could get completely 100% comic-accurate visuals that would look odd with real actors. Plus recasting becomes a million times easier.
I dunno if anything will beat the giddiness of seeing live action superheroes (atleast for me), but I hope this lets superhero movies be more experimental in general
The main issue is convincing an older audience to see an animated film, most view animation as too "kiddy" still

The previous generation had Don Bluth films growing up, as well as animated features like Watership Down. They know animation doesn't mean cutesie.
I don't know if anybody was interested in seeing these, but lately there has been an increase in leaks for the Lego IW minifigs:

I know Lego designs based on concept art, but I guess there is still the possibility of having 6-armed Outriders?
Whether he gets his armor or not later in the film, Thanos looks actually bad.
Which is even worse as they literally re-used the same mold they did for a classic style Thanos 2 years ago:

Wow, that's pretty cool. Robin and Krypto cameos.
Not a fan of that Spider-Man design.
The Iron Spider suit is pure garbage and I'll only like it if [sp]he gets BLACKED by the symbiote, since the over-the-shoulder spider insignia looks vaguely reminiscent of the black suit's design[/sp].
Really, I want the Homecoming sequel to feature Pete wearing a jailbroken Stark suit. Take out the AI voice and visor functions and INSTANT KILL MODE and all the other stupid shit Tony stuffed into it to make him into a little Iron Man. The whole point of Homecoming was that clothes don't make the man and all those superfluous gadgets just hold Spidey back; he's not Iron Boy, he's Spider-Man, so making his own suit and gadgets is like a hugely symbolic thing for him coming into his own as his own, independent hero.
Keep the web shooters, keep the Spider-Tracers, keep the Spider Signal, but ditch everything else. It all just gets in the way of what is arguably the coolest powerset in all of comics and makes it feel like an excuse to sell toys.
Incidentally, apparently Gwen Stacy is confirmed for Spider-Man 2; she's gonna be an exchange student from Europe. Captain Stacy is also confirmed.
the knockoff iron spider we see in the mcu makes me sad. it just looks like the spider armor mk 4 or whatever
I'm tempted to say "I'm fine with it so long as we see it get BTFO when they go against Thanos" but honestly they already made that point about high-tech shit being totally useless to Pete in Homecoming, so it would just come off as a redundant excuse to put him in a new costume they can make new action figures out of.

How exactly does Captain Stacy work if Gwen is from Europe.
How exactly does Captain Stacy work if Gwen is from Europe.
Beats me.
I hypothesized that her parents are separated; Gwen lives in Europe with her mother, while her dad is with the NYPD. Then maybe her mom dies, she moves in with her dad, and she and Peter can connect about having lost a parental figure.
Or maybe they're both from Europe and her dad was a cop in London or wherever so he just joins the NYPD when they move stateside V:v:V
There's a lot of directions they could take it, why she's not just a girl who changed schools I'll never know. They must be trying to undo all of Sony's messes after the Garfield movies tainted the brand.
I hope we don't have to watch Gwen Stacy die on screen again
I hope we don't have to watch Gwen Stacy die on screen again
At the least, I hope if they do end up doing it, they handle it better than ASM2 did.
Have not followed any mcu news for a while, who's set to play Gwen Stacy, or is it unknown yet?

I wouldn't bet money on those being leaks, there is a shop near me that makes and sells his own custom ones. On his site there is literally any series you can think of from the obvious to stuff like Stranger things or Dragon Ball Z
