venom isnt even a fitting character for a horror movie. that's carnages job
Speaking of Carnage, if they do a movie of him, they should do it like the Carnage standalone comic, especially the first few issues, where it's basically Alien except with Carnage.
what are we talking about
I'm talking about how sonys making a venom vs carnage movie with tom hardy
Sinister 6 doesn't always have to have venom right?
Still pretty sad that this sony venom movie probably means we won't be getting symbiotes in the mcu
I'm going to be legit bummed if we never see Keaton Vulture on-screen again. Sinister Six needs to happen in the next decade.
I feel like it'll lead up to that if the Sony/Marvel deal sticks for that long.
Also will be cool to see the dynamics, some of them want to kill spider-man, some doing it for their family but sort of respect spider-man like vulture may in the future.
Sinister 6 doesn't always have to have venom right?
I dont think Venom has ever been on any iteration of the Sinister Six.
If it did happen, it was probably brief and very sporadic.
"One version of the Sinister Six was lead by Sandman, and another by Venom. The latter one was disbanded after Venom turned on his teammates, injuring Electro and Kraven and nearly killing Sandman, but Spider-Man stopped him by activating Venom's weakness: sound vibrations."
I think the Sinister Six works best if its non-symbiote or goblin Spider-Man villains only.
Sony's Venom actually sounds pretty good so far, with the exception of [sp]Carnage building a doomsday machine that'll release a symbiote plague all over the world.[/sp]
Literally aside from that, it sounds spot-on to the Lethal Protector era comics. It's Sony, so they'll find a way to fuck it up, but it doesn't sound as monumentally horrible as we once feared (considering it was first announced as a horror/comedy).
Also, Sinister Six should be Doc Ock, Vulture, Electro, and Rhino alongside either Chameleon or Mysterio and either Kraven, Shocker, or Scorpion.
Unless of course they decide to go with the BEST iteration of the Sinister Six:

Thats completely in character if its for the purpose of causing total anarchy and furthers his desire to kill everyone around him at all times.
[sp]Also its the plot of the PS1 Spider-Man game.[/sp]
Aaaaaand they're back

I wonder how Hulu will fair under Disney when they plan to launch their own streaming service.
Deadpool is ambiguous enough that i think it'll be quietly factored into the MCU without a reboot.
It was iffy on what continuity it even followed and had a Helicarrier anyway.

"It [Deadpool] clearly has been and will be Marvel branded. But we think there might be an opportunity for a Marvel-R brand for something like Deadpool," said Iger. "As long as we let the audiences know what's coming, we think we can manage that fine."
Its going to continue and remain R-rated in any event.
Marvel needs more R movies i'm tired of them holding back for the kids.

Even the comics can get a little dumb about it.
Oh the Sentry just ripped a guy in half complete with gushing blood and visible entrails?
Better make sure kids dont see Wolverine say "fuck" on that same page.

Wonder if they plan on doing Annihilation and ripping out Annihilus' throat for all the kids to see.

He had pink goo so its fine.
Deadpool can be R-rated standalone
and then if he ever crosses over with someone like Spider-man he can just look at the camera on his first scene and be like "Look, we both know what you really want, but there are kids around."
PG/PG-13 Deadpool can still be funny imo
But yea would be interesting to see Marvel-R become a thing, and what's to come from it.
My question is, what does this mean on the TV side of things?
Presumably, most of their shows will keep going, since it's all either just another Fox show or based on something that Disney now owns again(Legion).
But, really, what about, say, Lucifer? That's a Fox-owned show, based on a DC-published comic.
I hope we see the simpsons in kingdom hearts

Technically [sp]Ock was the one who wanted to control the symbiotes. And Carnage has always been more of a serial killer/slasher monster rather than a moustache-twirling supervillain with a doomsday plot. The closest he's really come is Maximum Carnage, and that was just "me and my friends are gonna wander around New York and fuck up civilians", not "I'VE PUT THE SCIENCE DEVICE ON TOP OF THE TALLEST BUILDING, NOW THE WORLD WILL BE MINE, PAY NO ATTENTION TO HOW THIS IS THE SAME CLIMAX FROM AMAZING SPIDER-MAN 1, YOU'LL NEVER STOP ME VENOM!"[/sp]

"Hey Lois, remember that time that anime kid came around with those WAAAACKY characters and Brian tried to sleep with Minnie Mouse?"

Also hopefully this issue is solved now. In fact I imagine putting Logan in a costume will be one way they try to seperate from Jackman

I have faith in the mcu's costume design so I have no doubt the x-men will look pretty baller

He's not going to have the mask though. At least not exactly how it is in the comics. They'll have to tone it down if they want it to work onscreen.
This is an exciting time we live in

I love long pointy eared logan but unfortunately it would look really fucking silly on live action

Kids bring in more money. Disney only cares about $$$, not bold, artistic statements.

This looks like it would have been perfectly fine.
