Am I late? [sp]where everybody gets fucking killed by Thanos, but Dr. Strange rewinds time and the whole movie is Avengers and the world preparing to fight Thanos[/sp]
I think the spoiler tagged bit was just fan speculation. Going by what happens in the trailer, I suspect the first five minutes will be Thanos attacking either Xandar or the ship with the Asgardian refugees after the events of Ragnarok.

That would be so much better as an insane ending/cliffhanger
Finished Punisher tonight. [sp]I see what everyone was saying about the Homeland subplot. It did feel really unnecessary, but I didn't mind it too much. What I DID mind though, were the gratuitous sex scenes, especially since I was watching it with my mum. The fights that were there were pretty wicked, but I wish there was more of them. Probably my only major gripe I had with the whole thing; it was pretty action-lite for a Punisher adaptation. Hopefully Season 2 will have him facing off against criminals, at least for awhile. Maybe it turns out they're all a money making operation for Jigsaw, and that's how it connects? That's how I'd do it.[/sp]
Apparently the SHIELD art team stole someone's artwork https://sta.sh/0ak9wldtsp

The post was updated and that's no longer there. He's probably lying, and is being very shady about it. And even so the people who do CGI are probably contracted for the show, so it's not even Marvel/Disney's fault. If he is telling the truth, that unprofessional "unlimited use license fee" thing is going to come back to haunt him. That's probably all they will be required to pay.

I don't recall a scene like that. Also, Bioware stole a video clip from the movie Battleship for the ME3 live action trailer.
What's the lower one from? I don't recall a scene like that.
It's the SHIELD academy, I think season 1?
-snip because I was probably wrong and the guy above me was probably right-
He's claiming no one has ever bought it from him.
I'm going to give the guy the benefit of the doubt and say he's telling the truth, as far as he knows. He's apparently been contacted by a VFX rep already, so hopefully it's sorted out in a way that's fair to everyone.
Re-watched Civil War last night, I still think this is one of the best Marvel films we've got so far. They somehow managed to feature so many heroes and keep it interesting. Everyone got enough exposure and camera time, and they setup Spider-Man: Homecoming pretty well.

My guess is they'll do what they did with Civil War; you've got the main Avengers (Iron Man and Cap) alongside the characters they've gotta push for Summer Slam (Spidey, Strange, Guardians, T'challa, Bucky), and then you've got everyone else who gets maybe a scene or two outside of the action sequences (Black Widow, War Machine, Hawkeye, Scarlet Witch, etc.) "It's got 30-something superheros in it" sounds really daunting until you realize they're probably only gonna REALLY focus on a handful of them, with the rest just sticking around for the action setpieces.
Didn't they say a while ago that they're planning to have it focused on Thanos, so that he's the main character, instead of being a series of snappy one-liners that show up every once and a while?
Call me jaded, but after Age of Ultron and Doctor Strange, I wouldn't be surprised if this is an action/comedy with a very dramatic trailer. I hope they can impress me and actually give me stakes that I can take seriously, but I wouldn't be surprised if they were too scared to break from the usual MCU formula. IMO the only MCU movies to really balance constant comedy and legit emotion well have been the Guardians films. [editline]22nd December 2017[/editline] This is like the 10th time in the past week I've ended up at the top of the page in a thread about movies and I don't think I'll ever stop being self-conscious about it.
tbf civil war dealt with pretty lofty themes, i have no reason to think this wont be pretty dark

And lots of screentime for Punished Cap.
tbf civil war dealt with pretty lofty themes, i have no reason to think this wont be pretty dark
Yeah, but you also had characters making quips/jokes to take you out of the moment. I can totally get some characters making jokes (Spiderman, Ant Man, and Tony Stark to a lesser extent), but you also had characters that were otherwise supposed to be taken seriously making quips/jokes (such as Winter Soldier and Falcon). There were also lines that felt too on-the-nose, such as "give me back my Rhodey" or "Tony Stank" which weren't that funny. I'd rather they stick with humor for the characters where it fits (Spiderman, Guardians, Ant Man), and otherwise have characters take the stakes seriously this time around. I'm starting to feel a little fatigued from the comedy/action formula that Bantha mentioned; I previously defended Marvel for making each movie feel like it was unique in tone to fit the source material whereas each DC movie was just grimdark, but as of late, it feels like Marvel movies are just becoming the anti-DC. Instead of being forced into a grimdark tone that doesn't often fit the source material like DC does, Marvel is recently forcing their movies into a action/comedy tone that doesn't always fit the source material, and I'd like to see that change.
i hope thanos actually kicks major ass
great Agents of Shield episode tonight. Was cool seeing [sp] Hunter back and how Fitz got to the future. Also I wonder if the military person is a kree? [/sp]
great Agents of Shield episode tonight. Was cool seeing [sp] Hunter back and how Fitz got to the future. Also I wonder if the military person is a kree? [/sp]
[sp]Sort of looks like one of the Kree built the lighthouse with human help(for different reasons perhaps), blew up the Earth to have control over the inhumans, blamed Quake (how could she blow up the earth if she wasn't there), controlled the information(1984 style), didn't tell what's his face Augustus Caesar looking Kree guy(could be another pawn) [/sp]
i hope thanos actually kicks major ass
regardless of how they handle so many heroes on screen, I completely agree. These next two Avengers films need to be the "doomsday" scenario that Tony has been scrambling to prepare for since Avengers 1. Everyone has been kicking ass up until this point, Thanos and gang need to be the intergalactic equivalent of the school bully that beats you up, takes your lunch Infinity Stones and pants you in one fell swoop. I just finished my second viewing of Ragnarok this week, I'm hoping Korg and Valkyrie make a small appearance at least. And it's probably wishful thinking, but will we EVER get a Howard the Duck movie? the '86 film doesn't count.
And it's probably wishful thinking, but will we EVER get a Howard the Duck movie? the '86 film doesn't count.
If they do, I really hope they improve his design. The CGI in GotG of Howard is godawful.
my biggest issue is that it looked like it was filmed in an empty parking lot 90% of the time
Fair point. Never really noticed it but now I'll probably will if I ever watch it again, haha.

[/sp]
It's my favorite episode of the season so far. [sp]I just can't get interested in seeing the team talk in the same 3 grey, poorly lit rooms time and again. And it was cool to realize why the station is called The Lighthouse.[/sp]
