Well that seems sudden, but that's great.

A fantastic one? One could call it, amazing? Simply spectacular?
What if RDJ just has that much influence that he can tell them to move up the date.

Nah, it was probably an executive decision.

Something tells me we're getting a trailer tomorrow.
It has to be, considering most IW merch is releasing this weekend.
I wonder if they shifted it because of some other film, or maybe an event somewhere? Can't be just "we've suddenly realized we'll make more money a week earlier just because"

Someone in the SH thread suggested it might have to do with Solo: A Star Wars Story coming out on the 25th and they don't want to cut into any of the profits.
Wasn't the original UK release date the 27th anyway?

In many countries it already was April 27~26, it was mostly a big change to north america.
But she wants fans to know that her interpretation of the character is rooted in the DNA of the Captain Marvel comics: “That’s not just me inventing that,” she continues. “Carol Danvers is one of the funniest comic book characters. She’s so sassy, she’s such a smartass, she won’t take sh— from anyone, and the comic books do an amazing job at capturing that voice, and it was important that the entire Captain Marvel creative team [kept to that].”
As if we didn't have enough sassy smartass characters in the MCU.
Ah yes, who could forget the humor of Carol Danvers. Like that time she called Magneto "one of those guys who compares everything to Hitler".

So they're gonna skip over her being a fuck up alcoholic sadist then?
I want the asshole drunk Carol who just punches shit until it blows up, mostly Skrulls.

You'll get square peg round hole wonder woman and you'll like it.

Don't forget the incest with her future son!

I need a source on this because of reasons.

The Rape of Ms. Marvel, Avengers #200.
She became pregnant with her future son and gave birth to him so he could exist in this reality to fuck her and then he mind controlled her into following him into his sex dimension where he did nebulously defined things to her for a bunch of real world years.
Captain America clapped.

Avengers Vol 1 #200. She is raped by her future "son" who picks her, transports her to the timeless void Limbo, changes her feelings to make her fall in love with him, then has sex with her, impregnating her with his own self, effectively causing a time loop. Then Marcus sends her back and she can't ever remember the events transpires.

Comics, am I right, folks?
The 80s were a weird time for comics
The 80s were a weird time for comics
It was also a pretty stellar time for them too. thor had an awesome run back then
I'm eagerly awaiting some interpretation of that "I took the super-skrulll into space and just watched it die and I enjoyed every second of it" scene, only it's played off like a quirky grrl power joke.
Like, she brings it up into space and he starts choking but then the music cuts out and she's gotta wait longer than expected. So we get like a funny reaction image of her looking bored while the skrull sputters and dies. And then like his eyes explode or something and goo gets in her hair and it's funny because ew goo xD
Black Panther is making like a billion dollars, why can't they just let the serious characters be serious?
I'm surprised they let tony stark actually be portrayed as an asshole. not as major as he actually is buy still

Even then, I feel like that all got stripped away until Civil War.
They need to actively fight against Flanderization; there's nothing wrong with making simple, enjoyable action/comedies, until you try and adapt a property that isn't a comedy. If everyone is a likeable snark machine, then no one is a likeable snark machine. Spider-Man works GREAT in the MCU, fits right in. But characters like Ultron and Doctor Strange aren't quipsters, and it just feels weird when you try and fit them in that hole.
:quagmire:
Strange isnt a quipster, but he is pretty sassy.
Stephen Strange is still an asshole at least.
I mean thankfully literally 100% of the bad parts of Doctor Strange came from the Dan Harmon re-writes, so he ends up being amazing whenever he shows up anywhere else.
So, who watched Agents of Shield last night?
I have missed the first 4 or 5 episodes of this season of SHIELD so I'm waiting for the entire season to finish and go to Netflix to watch it.
I'm hoping it's at least on par with the previous season? All I know about it is it's in outer space.
