 what if Captain Marvel got disintegrated
I would guess not because of the stinger, but that would be funny if she teleported in as Fury was disintegrating, only for her to disintegrate. "Nick, I'm here! Oh damn it...."
Why was Thanos not bald, but was shaven bald, that's my biggest problem with the movie tbh
You think Thanos wants to put up with helmet hair for centuries?
That's the real reason why he wanted the stones, to prevent helmet hair.
I wonder if the reason why they humanized Thanos so much this move is [sp]Because hes going to send the survivors back because of building regret with Gomorrah.[/sp]
Nah. Current theories based on set photos indicate that the survivors are using some kind of time traveling technology. Likely it's technology Tony Stark and the other genius characters invented in the rumored five year time span between the two films. This likely ties into Dr. Strange's plan: Thanos was getting all of the infinity stones in every possible future, so he focused his efforts on making sure Tony survived the battle.
Nah he loves his self-appointed duty of killing half of life in the universe more than liking the one adopted daughter he took from her homeworld and killing her real mother. He's to far into his goal to turn back now. If this movie was insane with the action and the tension, Part II is the remaining heroes and Avengers coming to throw their all against Thanos to try and reverse any damage he's caused.
I just hope the second film is of the same quality as the first. I have full confidence in the directors, it's just a petty worry that it won't be the same.
I'm hoping for a larger permanent body count, personally. Chances are the those who got snapped are spared from perma-death and those that remain are truly at risk.
If anything the OG Avengers are fucked.
I'll be honest, I was really disappointed that NONE of the original Avengers died, either pre-snap or after.
Film was great but man I hope Loki isn't dead. He's been so big in the MCU and had tons of great moments, there's simply no way I can buy someone as durable and intelligent as Loki would do something so stupid and then simply gets choked to death despite getting fucked up way worse in various other films. Plus, he never even got to save Thor or redeem himself..
He did that at in Thor 3
Yeah but then he stole the stone and caused Thanos to come to them and fuck their shit up instantly, because of him half his people died and Thanos got one easy stone collected. If he had left it alone it'll probably be destroyed along with Asgard. Plus I was hoping he'll make amends with the OG Avengers after he tried killing them.
Given that it took a specific kind of way to destroy the mind stone, I can't imagine Asgard exploding would be enough to destroy the space stone, especially since it was contained within the tesseract. That would have made it even easier for Thanos to get. And he would have just killed half of the Asgardians anyway since they were still in the area of the wreckage of Asgard.
Considering they are as old as the universe itself, you are probably right. That magic must be SERIOUSLY powerful though.
If groot's arm was still part of groot, then it would still vanish with him dying, and it did not seeing how the axe still has it after the snap.much like the rest of the vines he used to attack thanos Still, the process seems to be unclear. was each being killed, erased from existence or absorbed by the soul stone? the reason for this being that beings affected by the snap fade away with their clothes on rather than merely leaving any non-organic element that wasn't part of them.
To be honest, I was kind of disappointed she was actually able to destroy it. And after that, disappointed at how so small the explosion was. For being something so cosmically important, I expect a blast at least the size of Wakanda, if not bigger. Not necessarily a blast of destruction, but at least something that pushes everyone back a step.
As Thanos' instant rewind showed, the explosion DID blow Vision to tiny little pieces. Dayum.
In Russos we trust.
For something so powerful that it can wipe out half of all living things in the universe when combined with the other stones, I kind of expected a larger explosion than just that of Vision
I'm curious, in a morbid sort of way, what Infinity War would have been like had Joss Whedon still been in the chair. Snarky Thanos and more Hulk/Widow romance, no doubt.
Banner kind of awkwardly ignoring Black Widow felt soooo good
I really hated the film. I cringed almost the entire way through. My thought in the first five minutes bas basically "Oh yeah, now I'm remembering why I hated Alien 3". I hated Alien 3 because they completely ruined the elation end of the previous film for half-assed tragedy at the start of the next (ridiculously mediocre) film. Infinity War was no different. The fact Valkyrie didn't even get a mention was just another nail in the coffin for the scene. "Moments" constantly being ruined by the most average of jokes was also terrible. I suspect Thor: Ragnarok will be the first and last time I actually laugh during an Avengers film. The plot was cliché and predictable. I knew the moment they tried laying a trap for Thanos and that Gamora was dead that Star Lord would cause Thanos to get away. Thanos actually being capable of love I thought was stupid. I don't think someone so apathetic to suffering is capable of it, at least not any more. Red Skull's place in the story seemed unnecessary. I was impressed by the voice actor though, I thought it actually was Hugo Weaving at first and was felt surprised he would actually come back for the role after what he said about it. Seems I was right though. It was a good job though. The only thing I really liked was that Thanos actually won. I had no clue there would be a second film going in so it was a nice surprise. I was a bit worried there that with time travel Thanos would be made t undo it there and then, saving the day, but nope lol.
So what were the Guardians doing for the 4 years between Vol2 and IW?
Hey so, probably already said but: anyone else think something is going on with the soul stone? Two things. First, it seems odd that Thanos can just sacrifice gamora to get it. And second, more importantly, the scene after the "snap" where Thanos is in the water talking to Gamora reminds me a LOT of the Land of the Dead scenes in Black Panther [with T'Challa and Killmonger]. This makes me think that something about the soul stone was happening in Wakanda. Dunno what the implication is but it seems odd.
Dancing, obviously
Something good? Something bad? A bit of both?
Dance offs is thirsty work
