So, Cable and Deadpool's exelent adventure?
Yes. That should be the exact title in that case
Doctor Strange plot spoilers
[sp]Why didn't Mr Bad Guy steal the whole book AND the Eye?
How was Strange fine only a couple of moments after getting stabbed near the heart and dying?
Why wasn't Dormammu a flaming head?
Also they really blew their load early on in the movie with the dimensions. After that the crazy scenes got way less mindfuck-y with only few memorable moments. Everything was just "turn everything into tiny moving objects".[/sp]

As far as I can tell:
[sp]1) We're shown in the movie that artefacts sort of have a mind of their own, or at least some level of consciousness. Best example of this is how the Cloak of Levitation really liked Strange from the get go, which is why he got to use it. Now it's not explicitly stated that this is the same case for the Eye of Agamatto, but Wong and Mordo seem quite surprised at how quickly Strange was able to access the Eye. I'd guess that Khaleesi or whatever his name was lacked the aptitude or practice to be able to access the eye itself. As I understood it, he ditched Kamar-Taj early into his study of magic, being quite quickly tempted by the 'eternal life' that Dormammu offered.
2) Strange's rapid recovery from getting shanked with some mirror or whatever is a little bit of a plot convenience, but I guess you could write it off as it being a magic blade or something? He did seek medical attention very quickly, but I'm pretty sure shocking somebody with an open wound repeatedly isn't going to end well for them. It's quite strange (heh) how that all plays out tbh, because I figured him going to the hospital was a sign that he still didn't really completely trust magic to fix himself up, but at the same time he manages to survive being stabbed and shocked like, way too much, presumably because of 'channeling dimensional energies' or whatever? Doesn't quite work.
3) Dormammu's design in the movie is obviously to reflect the way the dark dimension looks, with it being like a weird element of space, with atom things and planets. It all looked really cool, but I'll agree that he could have done with looking a bit more reminiscent of the comic book character. It's not like we saw all of him though, and they pulled off him looking quite mysterious and intimidating at least, which is the most important thing IMO. Depending on how things go, I'd hope that we see him again in a future movie with the same look, but with some head flames or something to make it gel better.
Finally, as much as I loved the movie, I have to agree with you that the whole dimensional gimmick started to wear thin after a while. The visuals were incredible, but like you said, we're shown the space-folding and 'complexifying' thing very early, so it had me worried that that was pretty much the extent of Khaleesi's powers. Obviously Doctor Strange barely knows any magic by the time the third act begins, and still doesn't by the end of the film, so if they were to truly overwhelm him with all manner of different magics, it wouldn't have been believable that he won in the end, but I still think there could have been more variation.
I hope that in the next one, we see a lot more to expand this universe of magic that was only really hinted at in this movie. Biggest worry is that every one of these movies will latch on to one visual effect and have everything revolve around that, like the vague red infinity gas or whatever in Thor: The Dark World.[/sp]
Yeah, he was one of the good parts of Avatar.
Are you joking? He was basically playing every Army Sargent stereotype ever.
such as?
Terra Nova, Into the Badlands.
But fine, have him ruin Deadpool for me.

I still think parts of Dr.Strange were very Doctor Who looking.
One thing that slightly bothered me and maybe it's supposed to be this way (I know next to nothing about Doctor Strange). For a movie about magic the fights were pretty melee oriented.

I am incapable of jokes, my funny bone was shattered at a young age. But let me actually argue why you're wrong here.
"Basically playing every army sargeant stereotype ever" as you put it, is what made him the best part of that movie. And if you look at Cable as a character that is portrayed in the comics(at least in Cable and Deadpool), you'd see why he'd fit right in. Unlike Deadpool, he is 100% serious 100% of the time kind of guy. Takes no shit, does whatever he sees as necesary to see his mission be complete etc. Pretty much the oposite of DP, who is a goofball that cracks jokes and one-liners. You see the kind of dynamic that is forming here?
And I'm really sure the world will mourn how the movie was ruined for you. Drop the drama queen shit. Nobody likes it.
The only thing I really wanted in Dr Strange was [sp]more actual magic fighting scenes and not just "oooo, the ground is moving"[/sp], but that's just me.
[sp]also burning Dormammu head[/sp]

of every other character. If you don't agree with that fair enough, I just don't like his acting and I'd just prefer not to see a terrible actor in something I actually really like.
Saying "Drop the drama queen shit" sounds like you think I'm actually annoying people, it's an internet forum, no one takes this shit seriously. I do think the aggression in your statement is a bit weird.
i'm not even a fan of stephen lang, i just think the way you've latched onto him with this hate is kind of weird and over-the-top
[editline]29th October 2016[/editline]
and i think if you were that meticulous about acting, and didn't just have a hate boner for the guy, you'd have brought up another actor who could do a better job by now

Why is it that you always seem to have terrible, ill founded, shittily backed up and in no way justified opinions in this thread?
Have you ever seen a single movie with him in it besides Avatar or are you basing your whole opinion on one actor based on one role he did in which he's generally agreed on to be one of the highlights of the movie.
One just came out where he plays a blind dude who hunts down home invaders.

[editline]29th October 2016[/editline]
Stephen Lang looks the part, and he'd act the part, the only thing he doesnt have going for him is height. I dont know if he'd be best for the role, i'd pick Ron Perlman over him, but god damn dude.
I just wanna see deadpool and cable turned into a movie.
Wong is such a fucking great character
I'm kinda surprised at how good Dr. Strange was, I wasn't expecting to like it that much but I fucking loved it. [sp]Dormammu, I'm here to bargain[/sp] was such a fucking great action gag/sequence
How did people find the balance of humour in Doctor Strange?
I thought it was alright, but it was definitely borderline too quippy for my taste. Obviously it's a bloodless 12A Marvel movie, so I expected it to be quite light hearted, but [sp]Wong listening to Beyonce while Strange stole books was played out a little too much IMO, it was bizarre and I think the film gave the audience too much time to think about it, so it ended up feeling out of place[/sp] also [sp]Shamballa being the wifi password was groan worthy, it felt like they were trying a bit too hard to lampshade the whole 'ancient east' trope. That line was in the trailer, so I want to say that it just wasn't as good the second time, but honestly I don't think it worked to begin with.[/sp]
On the other hand, [sp]the 'Mister Doctor' running gag was perfect, perhaps because Mikkelson's delivery flowed so naturally.[/sp]
Just got back from an advanced screening on base, certainly very enjoyable; due in no small part to the incredible visuals and creative use of the magic abilities. Its short-comings are that of many- if not all- Marvel origin films in that it is an origin story and the villain in a one-off villain. However, that doesn't detract from it still being a fun movie. The excitement for future Avengers films and seeing how all of them tie together grows stronger.
[sp]My only little gripe is: Why did they let Strange keep the Eye of Agamotto after he stole it and was using it.
Also, the cloak stole the show.[/sp]
Also, also; if this movie is up-to-date in the MCU timeline, I wonder why all the way back in Winter Soldier would name drop Strange as a threat to Hydra when he was still a surgeon at the time.

The algorithm was designed to recognize anyone as a potential threat to Hydra.
Rich genius who could disagree with what Hydra's goals are. Similar to Tony Stark.
Also it was sort of a little fan tease

I haven't seen the movie yet, but that's dumb. If you're going to name drop someone like that, make sure it's relevant. Bullshit on the algorithm stuff, too, because Sitwell actually mentioned him in dialogue like he's someone of importance now, someone who Cappy or Widow should've known about already.
we are getting Ghost Rider's origin on Agents of Shield tonight, based off the teases they have been releasing!

I hope it's not aliens
If you watched tonight's AoS, then hey look it's [sp] Johnny Blaze as the Ghost Rider who turned Robbie into the Ghost Rider. [/sp]
here's a gif of it too [sp] http://i.imgur.com/cKOTsye.gifv [/sp]

Does this mean [sp]we dont get Johnny Blaze Ghost Rider in the future? :( [/sp]
Does this mean [sp]we dont get Johnny Blaze Ghost Rider in the future? :( [/sp]
I think [sp] They're both Ghost Riders. They probably just didn't want to announce a casting for Johnny Blaze to prevent speculation and leave it as a surprise to people. Personally think they'll both team up to fight the villain at some point in the season.
In an earlier episode they took the Dark Hold from what looked like Johnny Blaze's house. So he's going after the people who have it, which just so happens to be who the main group/Robbie is currently going after. So them meeting up again is likely imo
As far as a Johnny Blaze future show. Who knows, could end up on ABC. Maybe that's why they canned the Marvel's Most Wanted thing. We'll just have to wait and see.[/sp]
Just finished Luke Cage. Good show, I think I liked it better than Jessica Jones, but not as much as Daredevil. It fits nicely in the middle
Four week wait for SHIELD is gonna kill me

[sp]The glowing lines on Robbies Rider skull are a result of the impact that killed him fracturing his skull, just like how Johnny's skull has a bullethole in it, which killed him.[/sp]
Holy shit Luke Cage was dope

[sp]Confirmed as original Ghost Rider, Johnny Blaze https://twitter.com/clarkgregg/status/793643510876352512?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw[/sp]
Given that every season of AoS has had its mid-season stuff revolving around whatever movie is coming out at the time, I think that's a no-brainer.
You think Tobias Ford and/or "Hell" from S01E09 will ever show up again in the show?
I sincerely doubt it.

They're more likely to give new material rather than backtrack to old ones.

Especially from that early in the series.
