I really hope they aren’t going to pull the obvious “the one future strange saw where they win requires thanos to win first and that’s the real reason strange have him the time stone” ending because that would be super fucking boring
Went and saw Infinity War while my car was in the shop so I could finally stop trying to avoid spoilers. Concerning the after credits scene: is Captain Marvel really going to be able to defeat Thanos in the next Avengers? I'm not a comic book nerd but it seems like she isn't that much stronger than the Avengers combined.
They're going to have to trickerate him to have rat's chance in hell, cause full frontal is not going to work with or without the gauntlet, that was the entire point of the hulk and Team Tony fights
It's painfully obvious that is exactly what will happen since Strange outright said "it had to be this way" before he got dusted.
Maybe she's supposed to be a Squirrel Girl analogue? I'm assuming Captain Marvel will shed some more light on the whole scenario.
Wait what? Who is Squirrel Girl and how does she play into this? Sorry, my comic book superhero knowledge is pretty limited to just the films.
I watched IW. I don't even care all that much about Marvel movies, they're like 6/10 fast food for me, but I'm so damn satisfied with this one. What a good antagonist Thanos was. I knew next to nothing about the movie except people leaving sad. I assumed Thanos got all stones but one, and that 2 or 3 of the longest standing characters would die (Thor, Ironman, Cap). So at the end of the movie when the credits rolled everyone was starting to say "what the hell just happened" and talking to eachother, I turned to my gf who was almost crying and I went "Fuck yeah, what a great ending!" But yeah, after looking into what comes next, everything points to them somehow undoing the snap wish, and I think it's lame as fuck. They'll probably kill off a few characters but rewinding time would be such a cop out. I kinda just wish they kept going, and Earth with half the population gone is the new canon. For that to work they would've needed to keep a few key characters alive that are already planned to get sequels, like Spiderman, Black Panther, Starlord and Drax. As it stands I can't really see a scenario where I'll be satisfied with the next Avengers. Maybe they could take hold of the soul stone, have the time to materialize a few heroes, but then it gets destroyed, sealing the fate of whoever was still inside, but also allowing Thanos to be beaten. Anyway for now I'm happy we got a huge superhero movie where we can sympathize with the antagonist AND flat out wins. I really hope the start of the next Avengers shows more of that. During the credits I was like "is there even going to be a post-credits sequence?" and I was so glad to see that empty helicopter fly into that building.
Comic book meme character, defeated Thanos, ironically listed as one of the "Marvel Strongest"
Squirrel Girl is basically an OP hero in the comic books. As in beat many major villains OP hero as a joke. Chances are though, Captain Marvel will be powerful in actual power, and not in the way SG is.

'Avengers: Infinity War' Directors Reveal Who Died And Survived Off Screen Jane Foster getting listed as "too spoilery" is curious...
Regarding your comment about what they'll do about the snap : (POSSIBLE SPOILERS FOR AVENGERS 4) There's some set photos of the fourth movie floating around that depict Captain America in his bright uniform from the original Avengers, along with Ant Man in a setting that looks like the battle of New York. This suggests that they'll pull a Time Splitters and go back to the previous movies for some reason, instead of just stopping Thanos in an ordinary way. That actually gives me hope that they'll pull off something completely out of the ordinary for the finale though.
Also Avengers 4 spoilers Set pics suggests they're going back to the 50s as well, and Hayley Atwell has appeared on set I guess.
That was underwhelming with almost everyone as "too much of a spoiler to tell!" At least we finally know what the fate of Lady Sif was.
Apparently Avengers Forever is close to the actual title so people are guessing A4 is titled Infinite Avengers. Makes sense because they both involve time travel.
DC will have literal kittens.
WB Announces: Justice League 2: Crisis on Infinite Earths
At this point I'd say that is actually guaranteed thing should they somehow get funding.
more like crisis on infinity fundings
The leaks might be real then
In the latest season of AoS Time travel is a thing. There is a rock that turns into liquid and consumes you, sending you into past or future and it is somewhat controllable. Considering the fact that last episodes of AoS take place in the same timeline as IW, there is a tiny chance for AoS and A4 link, I guess.
Assuming they end up time traveling without using the Stone, I have to imagine they'd have Ant-Man shrink to the point he enters the Quantum Realm, no? And at that point, you're basically dealing with alternate universes, so there's none of that pesky timeline paradox shit to sort out. I'm willing to bet Tony is gonna team up with Rocket and Eitri to make some Thorbuster armor that can channel the energy of the stones. And that they'll pick up a Mjolnir from an alternate past, giving us a Triple Threat Tag Team battle where Thor, Hulk, and Cap (wielding Mjolnir) will team up to fight Thanos. Cap can die in this one and then we can have Thor give one of the hammers to Beta Ray Bill in Thor 4: Thor and Bor Form the Thor Horse Force.
If/when the Fox deal goes through, I imagine that'd be one of the first things they'd try. Deadpool is hot right now and what better way to make people aware of the acquisition than to say "hey everyone that thing you like is in the MCU now, you officially have no excuse to not be on board by this point". They already have all kinds of R-rated shit happen in the Netflix shows, so they're clearly not uncomfortable with putting the Marvel Studios name on edgier stuff, despite what Feige says. I really think it's just a question of getting the execs to warm up to the idea of having an R-rated movie in the same franchise as Spider-Man Homecoming and Ant-Man.
I can only imagine Deadpool's jump into the MCU being as hype as spiderman's.
I'm kind of hoping for that if they come to the MCU.
Except Deadpool. He should be aware that hes been taken over by the mouse. He could appear in a PG-13 film first and be surprised that every time he says "Fuck" it's censored, only for his first solo R-rated MCU film to find a way around that.
according the Ryan Reynolds, they had a joke about disney in DP2 but they cut it. He didn't say what the joke was, but I'm guessing it was something they felt was too inappropriate.
Well, yeah, no shit. They'd also probably choose characters that didn't get much screentime in Fox movies, so there's stuff to directly compare

A Blade reboot and Gabriel Luna's Ghost Rider getting promoted to the films would be nice.
