Marvel Cinematic Universe Thread - Dr. Strangelove

Guys Infinity War was cool and all, but do you think that now that Disney got the rights to the Fantastic Four I may finally see the Dr. Doom movie I've been dreaming about for years?
... Soon enough, maybe?
... No?
... Ok then
Ok listen, I don't give a fuck about that.
I WANT a good cinematic adaptation of Dr. Doom.
I DESERVE IT.
I mean, I even sat throught Iron Man 3, Thor: The Dark World, Thor: Ragnarok, Avengers: Age of Ultron in their entirety, it's about time I was given a bone to chew on for all my efforts
Villains don't have to be larger scale than the last in order to work. Ultron was going to kill humanity, but Zemo in Civil War just wanted personal revenge against the Avengers.
Noah Hawley's still doing a Dr. Doom movie, so you might get that sooner than you think
Avengers 4 Spoilers!
You didn't see that coming?
Someone told a weird explanation to pirate the move. "The ending isn't worth admission." I mean it's based off The Infinity Gauntlet so how did you think it was going to go?
Someone who wants to wipe all multiverses?
But that's what Malekith (remember him?) wanted to do already. Plus Ego wanted to turn a bunch of planets into... himself, I guess? And Dormammu was going to turn the universe into the dark dimension or bring it into the dark dimension or... something. Thanos was positively humble in his goals, by comparison.
the’ve already referenced infinity war several times in the last few episodes. Something is going to happen in the season finale, I can feel it.
They've already said they won't be using any Fox assets if they acquire the properties, and why would they; getting them gives them ten more years of new movies to put out by starting over.
the thing that bugged me the most about infinity war (or rather, the ONLY thing that bugged me) was th soundtrack. I thought silvestri being in it would make a huge difference but nah. Spidermans theme was never used, Dr Strange's theme was never used, the guardians theme was never used afaik, the only theme that was used from any of the prior movies was Black Panther as far as I could tell, and because of that it just felt weirdly out of place, to have that memorable tune in amidst generic cinematic shit. Even the avengers theme didn't feel like it was used that much at all. They should just stick with Giaccino for all the movies ffs.
There's a lot of ways it can work and still make sense
I'm tellin' ya, multiverse theory.
Not only will it let em brush off literally every potential paradoxical plot-hole, but it'll also allow them to literally pick and choose what they want to bring back with them.
Mjolnir? Sure, keep Stormbreaker too! Quicksilver? You got it; and he can have a better accent this time! Literally anything but incorporating the TV and Netflix shows, that's a no-no for whatever reason
you want two hours of FOOT DIVE?
Holy shit, I was right.
"As reported by Deadline, the show will return for a 13-episode run next summer, most likely giving viewers a nice gap between the May release of Avengers 4 and the show’s season premiere."
Regarding Korg and Miek:
What you said about the distress call saying that the alien crew died is actually wrong.
I rewatched the movie with subtitles, and it turns out the broadcaster is actually saying that the engines died. The way he says it does sound a lot like "alien" however.
That seems to be an unanswered question in general - are the planets already visited by Thanos excluded from the snap? Probably not.
The gauntlet might get the context from whoever is using it, so it might just half the populations he didn't already do himself
also this is funny if not a coincidence

He is nothing if not magnanimous.
One gripe I had with the movie which was a small one [sp]I wish they had shown even a small section of Thano's home world POPULATED, because for people who have not read the comics they're probably wondering how an entire planet of purple godmen was able to get wiped out. Showing the average population in comparison to Thanos and explaining that he is different from everyone even on his own planet was kind of important context wise for the character imo. [/sp]
Just saw Deadpool 2. It was aight.
I still hate Domino's design though.
Just saw it too, it was pretty good.
I was surprised that it felt on par with the first movie, since I was expecting it to suffer from the hype and expectations.
Minor spoilers, the first X-Force mission went just as well as I had hoped
here comes a whole new season of wacky deadpool cosplayers
No kidding, I usually don't see cosplayers in my country, but sure enough, 2 days ago there were 2 of them promoting the movie around a cinema in Zurich.
On that note:

That was my other gripe too. Thanos in a physical perspective looks like a purple Hulk so It's kind of shocking when Hulk at the beginning at possibly full stanima gets thrashed so easily by Thanos. Though one would argue Thanos is a more experienced fighter than Hulk who is a wild card. Is Thanos a special case among his people? Was his race full of 'titans' where one of them could easily give the people of Earth a hard time?
He probably speciel l ike how Cap is special because otherwise that's just an OP civilization
nothing makes me want to cease existence harder than seeing batman and superman sitting at a table at the end of a HISHE
