Eugh, that terrible AA.
I was always curious as to why MvCI had only 2v2 and still had a smaller roster to boot too.
I always hear about Disney doing that but i always doubt it when its brought up because i've only ever heard that they've been hands-off on what Marvel does, with the exception of taking Big Hero Six away from them and giving it to IDW(after an apparently disastrous comic proposal after the movie), it sounds like something Ike Perlmutter ordered.
Its also weird that they stripped the non-movie charactes besides Nova. On some retarded ass level i can kind of see the idea behind removing the X-Men and FF even if it actually doesnt make any sense and only hurts them for doing it, but Taskmaster? She-Hulk? Shuma-Gorath? Iron Fist (who just got a TV show)? Hell wasnt MODOK even in the game as a level prop?
Like what the fuck.
With my update to the post, I found out it was rather (allegedly) Marvel who requested those changes, so your Ike Perlmutter theory might not be too off the mark
Hey for everyone that finished season 5 of Shield just think of the first few episodes. I don't know how to use spoiler tags
Highlight the text you want to spoiler and click the icon that looks like an eye with a line through it. This one:

Saw Deadpool 2 (wrote a blog about it here: Jurassic Mark).
Literally, if you liked the first one, you'll like this one. I know that's usually like a backhanded compliment, meant to say something like "they didn't do anything new", but this is a case where they literally just refined what they learned from the first one and told another Deadpool story, but better.
No spoilers, but Fox is full of utter fools if they don't mass-manufacture that music box from the opening scene.
I'd buy three.
Season 5 Spoilers:
During the ending of the season 2 Fitz exist. One that came back from the past and one floating in space.

Well yeah, they mention that in the episode itself. Hopefully they get him some post-Framework counseling this time.
This seemingly runs counter to a rumor that Mysterio would appear in his own non-MCU film alongside Kraven. I'm perfectly fine with that, since I don't want to see any more of Sony's Spider-Man films without Spider-Man, but now I'm stuck wondering if they'd be stupid enough to feature two versions of Mysterio in different universes at the same time.
Yep
Everyone said Infinity War was going to be a clusterfuck too. Sinister Six should be a cakewalk in comparison.
this is wishful thinking at this point but i've always thought that bruce campbell would have made for a great mysterio
I really hope this works out, just so I can describe Zodiac as "Iron Man, The Hulk and Mysterio try to solve the Zodiac killings."
Theres no reason a movie with six villains cant work, the same as how a movie with six heroes can work, its all in the execution.
Saw DP2, good movie.
Also, they don't have to actually flesh out all six members in the Sinister Six movie. Since we already got Sandman and Rhino in previous films, just have them be common crooks who get superpowers this time, and let them be the dumb muscle of the Six. Vulture, Mysterio, and Shocker will already will be established, so like the heroes in an Avengers movie, the movie doesn't need to retread material from their origin stories. Throw in Doctor Octopus (who will drive the formation of the Six and might be the reason for Sandman and Rhino getting their powers, like in the cartoon), and you have your team.
Alternatively, follow up on the first movie's stinger and introduce Scorpion in the beginning of the film, and have his ass handed to him by Peter within the first ten minutes. Then bring him back for the Six movie with more powerful gear. Then you'll only need to introduce two more members instead of three.
Wait, I think I missed the memo about Homecoming sequel having the Sinister Six in it
There's been a Sinister Six movie in the works for a while now.
Oh, the Sony one?
I thought people were talking about the MCU one
I liked DP2 more than DP1 simply for the fact that it isn't an Origin story and so there's more time for action and comedy.
Wait, did we get some Spider-Man news? I know Sony's been planning a Suicide Squad Sinister Six movie for a while now, but did Feige or someone confirm that the Six are gonna be in the Homecoming sequel?
It'd make sense, considering that tease with Scorpion after Homecoming, but that's quite an undertaking for the second movie, especially since the whole deal with the Sinister Six is that they team up because of their shared hatred of Spider-Man.
Honestly, I'd prefer they start setting up Stormin' Norman before just tossing characters like Ock in there out of the blue.
you mother fucker you stole my only joke
I'm guessing that Homecoming 2 sets up Mysterio as the main villain of the movie, but it'll also be doing behind-the-scenes stuff to set up the Sinister Six.
Vulture is appearing in some form so it makes sense that someone might be "recruiting".
I understand they dont want to retread stories already done by previous Sony movies, but damn I wish they would do Norman/Harry.
It really is amazing how many different approaches there are to Spider-Man in the sense of the story/conflict.
You can do the family/Osborn drama leading to Green Goblin.
You could do the Venom story.
You could do Sinister Six, lots of smaller criminals coming together to kill Spidey.
A Kraven story, a long game of cat-and-mouse, might work.
And you can throw Black Cat into just about any of those.
Spidey has a looooot to work with.
if we follow the ironman route, by 2 he's now on the spotlight so i'd make sense to have the sinister six go after him, maybe introduce black cat along the line.
I liked the way they introduced Mysterio in the Spider-Man 2 game, where he's a special effects artist looking to "expose" Spider-Man as a fraud, only to come back as a villain after he's been beaten.
Do Mysterio and maybe someone else now, introduce Norman and Harry through the Peter side of the story, then introduce the Six in the third one.
The real question is, if they get Vulture back in the wings, what role is he gonna play? Is it "my family left so now I'm evil for real", or "I got out but this is what I'm good at, no hard feelings" like Captain Cold, or maybe "the Six have my family so sorry I'm a villain again"?
Honestly I'd like something akin to The Flash's Rogues, where he's just looking to make a quick buck and doesn't hold it against the hero for just doing his job and bringing him in.
I kind of hope they don't revisit the Vulture. I took his last scene with Gargan in Homecoming as a type of understanding between he and Peter. They're not friends or anything, but he sees Peter as a decent person and holds no more animosity towards him for saving both his life and his daughter's. If they did bring him back, he could be an unlikely ally for Peter, though. Or, they could just make him vengeful against Peter for being put in jail, losing his profitable scheme, and being shunned by his family.
For marvel comics, what is something that I could read to get more thanos? I know Infinity Gauntlet is a must, but I wonder if there's anything recent or before Infinity Gauntlet that's good.
