btw the soundtrack in this film is fantastic, much more memorable than in any other marvel films obviously mr giacchino is involved
At multiple points during the movie it sounded exactly like the Star Trek reboot theme, has anybody else noticed that? Yeah, somebody has 2:11 here Very beginning here
It has some similar notes, I thought it sounded familiar when I saw it a few days ago.
It's probably by design
At multiple points during the movie it sounded exactly like the Star Trek reboot theme, has anybody else noticed that?
I knew I'd heard that theme somewhere before. I just couldn't put my finger on where.
Four week wait for SHIELD is gonna kill me
I looked at this post again, and was saddened yet again. Maybe you're wrong? Maybe there is an episode this week after all? Please?
That last episode of AoS was the first time I was really enjoying the show. The dialogue is still too tryhardy, the characters still overrely on weird forced quirks; but the Ghost Rider kind of badass, so all the negatives kind of slide.
[sp]Wasn't it made sorta clear that Strange even being able to use the Eye was a surprise to everybody? He's got a knack for magical shit, Kaecilius probably would have been waving his hands around for a few months before anything happened, and probably would have immediately fucked shit up even worse.[/sp]
[sp]He also seemed to be too impatient for it. Strange even remarked that he should've read past the ritual page which is where the warnings were.[/sp]
I can forgive Giacchino reusing his ST theme here, especially since it fits so well. It's not too blatant either.
On the subject of the film's score, I loved the end credits music. Especially when it starts going for a 60's/70s prog rock vibe at around 2:21 with the organ, synths, strings and harmonized electric guitar. It perfectly fits Doctor Strange and I sort of wish more of that vibe was used for the rest of the score. Honorable mention is the music being played in reverse during the end of the first trippy sequence as Strange "returns".
Saw it today, best Marvel movie for me. The notion of defending against much greater evils in the world just has me hooked. All the mystic stuff was just amazing. No thought about how it works, just awesome.
Luke Cage episode 9 was just fucking painful to watch. Jesus, just...no!
Tom Holland currently has a 6 movie contract for Spider-man. http://www.comingsoon.net/movies/news/784583-tom-holland-reveals-6-film-contract-for-spider-man-zendaya-talks-michelle#/slide/1 magazine cover featuring Tom Holland + Zendaya [thumb]http://puu.sh/scUFH/6fdd2abe6c.jpg[/thumb]
As much as I like Luke Cage, episode 10 is beyond retarded. It has some (presumably) smart people just assuming[sp]a man on the run is going to bring himself out in the open, commit murder and shout his own name for confirmation[/sp]without the slightest moment of doubt for absolutely no reason.

Is it known which character Sigourney Weaver will be playing?
I'm still kind of hoping for Ma Gnucci (mostly because the thought of seeing her as nothing but a head and torso amuses me), but Aaron is right, she deserves to be a villain for the Punisher, not The Defenders

Just saw Doctor Strange in 3d for the second time, I honestly love the film. [sp]"Dormammu, I've come to bargain."[/sp] is probably going to become an inside joke between my friends and I.
I saw it with 2 Ds last night and really liked it. Should I see it with an additional D this time?
I saw it with 2 Ds last night and really liked it. Should I see it with an additional D this time?
I would say so. I wouldn't say it's a mandatory see, but definitely adds to a lot of scenes.
I saw it with 2 Ds last night and really liked it. Should I see it with an additional D this time?
No, the color and contrasting in the 3d one is ass, and color is really big deal in this movie.
↑ not true. go see it on a big ass screen in 3d the effects have unique textures to them that excel in the format
Dr. Strange [sp]I REALLY wish the Ancient One didn't die[/sp]
Fox and Marvel reached a deal. http://screenrant.com/deadpool-guardians-galaxy-2-characters-swap/ It's a start I guess? Trading [sp] Ego [/sp] to change Negasonic's powers in Deadpool. It's a start at fox/marvel relations maybe?
WHAT
Well thats kinda interesting
WHAT
I think Kevin Feige talked about this not too long ago.
WHAT
So the Inhumans has been restructured into a TV show, with the first two episodes being a pilot movie, eh? Interesting.
Rest in peace, SHIELD?
