What an incredibly vague trailer.
Was really hoping for a movie trailer, I don't really care about the games.

According to the Facebook page, it is a licensing announcement/multi game deal.
And it's not connected to the MCU, I guess? That kind of sucks.
I mean I get it, with the strict Marvel timetable and whatnot, but it's still disappointing

They were good games though.
Eidos Montreal also did the last 2 Deus Ex games.
not to mention it says Square is in charge of games for awhile

Don't think it's confirmed nor denied at this point, but either way it's still good news because marvel has been lacking for games. The best game out in awhile was Disney Infinity, unless you include remasters and re-releases

Still waiting on more stuff about Spider-man Insomniac though
We might end up getting a Marvel Game Universe.
Cloak and Dagger will be coming to Freeform, and have cast Olivia Holt and Aubrey Joseph as the leads.

I've been crawling through the Luke Cage series with a buddy of mine, for about a month now. I wouldn't call it "bad" but it has yet to actually grab hold of my attention. Everything has such an average feel to it. The only character to interest me at all is Cottonmouth[SP]RIP[/SP] Basically just want to finish it so I know his back story when I start to watch The Defenders. I'm on episode 9 right now, does any of it get better? Though, I think I heard a few of you guys say that Luke Cage had a really terrible ending?
Honestly, none of the Marvel shows apart from Daredevil have managed to grab me. They're not bad, but I feel like unless you binge watch them they're not as exciting.
I found Luke Cage to be super boring. Jessica Jones was pretty bleh except for when it focused on the villain. Daredevil has the most going for it, especially since it has great fight choreography and something memorable at least every other episode.
Daredevil is the best overall, but the Hand stuff is generally super boring compared to whatever other plot is going on (stopping Fisk/the People vs Frank Castle).
Jessica Jones has arguably the best villain, but everything else is kinda lame (especially the action). It goes to some neat places though, I love the Jessica/Purple Man dynamic.
Luke Cage is really well shot and has an awesome sound track. There's some cool moments and some really likeable side characters. Unfortunately, the plot (which wasn't super strong to begin with) takes a massive hit after [sp]Cottonmouth dies[/sp] and then completely falls apart once [sp]Diamondback shows up in a stupid hat to punch Luke to death[/sp].

Excuse me, that was the best part. The fight itself was garbage, but I found [sp]Diamondback's arrival and the "pimp stormtrooper" one-liner hype[/sp]
honestly im just holding out for punisher
I've never seen Jessica Jones but sounds like I'm not missing a lot either? Seems like Daredevil set the bar too high and can't help but keep comparing Luke Cage to it. The fight scenes are especially what I notice to be lacking, which is disappointing.

Nothing happens in Jessica Jones at all
I liked all of the Netflix shows as well. I didn't mind Luke Cage or Jessica Jones either. I went in expecting something worse than AoS, but left pleasantly surprised
Jessica Jones might have the lamest fight scenes of the generation, but it's very down-to-earth when dealing with its heavier themes, and has a diverse (in mindset and personality) roster of characters. It gets boring, it's full of generic filler, and I don't plan on rewatching it, but still
Luke Cage, too, trips over itself way too often with the cliches, but it's by far the most visually interesting of all the Marvel series. Nothing too artsy of course, but it's definitely more daring than I expected. Though the plot struggles with its goals more than any of the other titles (personally, I think the [sp]nightclub shootout[/sp] should've been the finale), I think it hit all the right notes up until [sp]Cottonmouth's death, which was beautifully executed[/sp]
The only thing Jessica Jones does is introduce the character of Luke Cage.
If they went with a ten episode season format, they'd be able to cut down on the filler and deliver a focused show. Part of me is more optimistic for The Defenders specifically because it's only eight episodes afaik.
What sucked about Luke Cage is that[sp]they killed the best character way too early[/sp]

I'd say Jessica Jones is worth it purely for the Purple Man stuff.
But everything else is more or less inconsequential.

This, really.
They always wrap up the most interesting story halfway through the season, then just sort of plod along for the remaining couple of episodes. This is super obvious in Daredevil S2 after [sp]Frank gets put on the backburner and Elektra becomes the central focus of Matt's story[/sp].
They really should cut down on the episode count, you could EASILY shave a collective hour or two of filler out of each of these shows.

Drax is the best
They finally dropped the F-bomb in the MCU!
I can safely say that GoTG 2 is gonna be great. I mean, I already knew that before, but now I have 100% confidence about it.

Hot take incoming, but I think Marvel has to start taking cues from Fox.
Apocalypse was shite, but stuff like the nonlinear storytelling in Deadpool, the time-travel retcon shenanegans in DofP, and now this is really standing out as something unique amongst a ton of samey superhero stuff.
Like, Guardians 2 has me excited, because the first is arguably my favorite in the MCU. It's the most non-traditional of all the Marvel movies, both in look and execution, so it stands out.
But I look at the trailer for Spider-Man and, while I'm sure it'll be a fun time, it feels like I've seen it already.
The MCU is mad profitable and excels at putting out consistently okay-to-great movies, but they could be doing so much more if they were willing to take some chances here and there. Try and branch out of the proverbial bread-and-butter combo of "strict three-act structure/shit villain/light comedy/terrible color grading" that they seem to use in everything but Guardians and Ant-Man.
They make literal billions every year off of ticket sales alone, it's not like they can't afford to experiment here and there.
