Holy shit the end of that SHIELD episode. SO MANY QUESTIONS
I'm not even sure what to discuss about the new episode, I just reaaaaally can't wait for the next episode. Edit: Next episode is in April, FUCK
Holy shit that episode
I'm not even sure what to discuss about the new episode, I just reaaaaally can't wait for the next episode.
hope you can wait for six weeks, since it's going on hiatus until then! http://comicbook.com/marvel/2017/02/19/agents-of-shield-on-hiatus-break-until-april/ we're getting close to 10 weeks of extra gaps between episodes this season. crazy.
Geez that episode was insane. I was joking about [sp] Them bringing back Ward, but they did it! So many twists and turns geez [/sp]
Gotta wonder who [sp]who Fitz is with, what that means for Simmons, and if Ward is actually gonna be in the show in person. (I thought it was a little strange they didnt actually surprise the viewers by having him sit up for a reveal, unless they didnt actually get the actor.)[/sp]

[/sp] My thoughts on the other stuff: [sp] Fitz is probably with Agnes, Radcliffe seen Fitz as a son, so the framework version is their little family. Simmons is probably undercover, maybe the director of shield, they said they found her avatar which leads me to believe she isn't actually dead. [/sp]
Spider-Man is set to have four films. Kevin Fiege talked about introducing a new cast of Avengers while retiring some old ones.
Four films? Not three? Wow, Sony must really want that MCU cash. My inner cynic hopes that Emoji Movie causes Sony to sell of their studio/rights to Disney so they stop fucking up Spiderman and we are spared the horrors of Pixels, Jack and Jill, CGI Smurfs in real world, Ghostbusters 2016, etc.
I severely doubt the EMOJI MOVIE is going to be the smash hit that will save Sony.
Ghostbusters should have been the bomb that sunk the ship, but it was only a modest failure, since it had that whole sexism narrative driving roughly 99.9% of ticket sales. I can't see them pulling that same thing with the Emoji Movie, but it's also worth noting that it's opening against LITERALLY NOTHING. Unless Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets manages to be a sleeper hit, TEM is basically dominating the entire early-August section of the calendar. The only things that could really threaten it are Planet of the Apes and Dunkirk, and those are both 1) different demographics and 2) opening weeks beforehand. Literally all we can do is hope and pray that it bombs. This is Sony's money to lose, it literally all hinges on how profitable the ad campaign is. [editline]22nd February 2017[/editline] Then again, there's a chance that Spider-Man proves SO SUCCESSFUL that it stays at the top of the box office straight through July into August (if I'm not mistaken, Guardians made mad bank in a similar fashion), but then again, Sony still makes money on that one. Stupid as they are, this summer is essentially fool-proof for them.

It must have been on purpose. [editline]22nd February 2017[/editline] SHIELD [sp]As soon as I saw May in that exterior elevator, I knew it was the Triskelion before the camera zoomed out. Shield definitely needs one more season, at least. Last nights episode was fantastic.
I love the possibilities of this storyline. [sp]A what if scenario. I hope we get to see the aftermath of Project Insight - because if Coulson was always just a teacher and never an agent, that probably means the Avengers was never fully formed, right?[/sp]

At 2.X, their ratings aren't as bad as they used to be, they aren't knocking things out of the park either. Meanwhile Flash consistently hits 3s with a third of the budget and promos of AoS.

It's probably to show just how important he is.[/sp]
That would only occur in a world without Odin. Think of it, had Odin not dropped Thor on Earth as punishment in the first Thor film, there would be no Avengers I & II (because Loki would not have come to invade earth, and the scepter with the mind stone would not have created Ultron), and possibly no Ironman 3, or at least it would be much shorter without the whole PTSD thing Tony has from Avengers I. And Daredevil would be radically different, with Fisk not able to wrangle the "rebuilding" of Hell's Kitchen from the Avengers I film. Spiderman may still be just a kid on the street in a red t-shirt and homemade mask. [editline]23rd February 2017[/editline] Pretty sure Dr Strange and Antman would still have occurred, though Captain America III would not have happened.
Then who Saved New York?
What if it was [sp]Hydra agents in Iron Man suits because Obediah succeeded in stealing it from Tony?[/sp] [editline]23rd February 2017[/editline]
That would only occur in a world without Odin. Stark dies when Obediah takes the arc reactor out of his chest. Coulson wasn't there to arrest Thor in New Mexico, and Hawkeye instead shot him. Coulson wasn't there to die and give the Avengers something to fight for, so they sat around while New York got nuked. And if New York was nuked, then that means no Daredevil, Punisher, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, Dr Strange and potentially Spiderman.
What if it was [sp]Hydra agents in Iron Man suits because Obediah succeeded in stealing it from Tony?[/sp]
Obediah wasn't associated with Hydra in any capacity as far as I know.
You have to remember, the world probably won't make 100% sense. Its modified to remove the one big regret from each persons lives.
Also, it's possible that stuff Radcliffe/Aida can't really know about,[sp]like Asgardian politics, may not be taken into account. All though it might, Darkhold and all. They'll probably just say that Iron Man's emergence was the catalyst that kicked everything else off, and without Coulson, that wouldn't have happened, though Hydra would've still been around.[/sp]

Even though Coulson was personally the one who uncovered his shield, I'm pretty sure it was a team that found him.[/sp]
Sooo... does this mean: [sp]http://nerdist.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/06/Captain-America-Reveal-06282016.jpg[/sp] :v: ???

Stark dies when Obediah takes the arc reactor out of his chest.
The problem with this is that [sp]Stark still found out about Obadiah's dealings. At the charity event that reporter he slept with near the start exposed it. Pepper would have been kidnapped without Coulson easily, but Pepper already gave Stark the old arc reactor before then. Stark would've taken down Obadiah easily, but Pepper might not have survived. If SHIELD didn't exist during Iron Man 2 though, Ivan Vanko would've easily taken over with his kill-droids since SHIELD never helped him with the anti-toxin stuff or creating the new element.[/sp] The notable thing of that alternate reality is that [sp]Hydra doesn't seem to have simply war'd their way to power. Washington DC looks moderately nice and people seem to be living completely normal lives.[/sp] I'm guessing [sp]SHIELD fell around the timeline of The Avengers. If The Avengers more or less happened and SHIELD fucking nuked NYC, they would've lost exactly 100% of their public support and would be ripe for replacing. Its entirely possible that Hydra set themselves up as a government agency, especially considering their connections. SHIELD destroyed one of the most important cities on the planet, so nobody really cares that much and Hydra can just silence any negative information that gets out about them.[/sp]

It's leader was Robert Redford, who was later discovered to be the leader of HYDRA within SHIELD.
