Just saw Logan. Such a worthy sendoff for one of my favorite Marvel characters. :ok:
Got back from Logan as well. Having never seen the trailer and only going because my friends dragged me along I assumed it would be shit, instead of was pleasantly surprised. If Deadpool didn't exist I would have said it was the best superhero film I've seen in ages.
[sp]The girl who played Laura will have directors lining out the door to get her to play action girl for the next decade or two. I honestly didn't think children that age could actually act. In fact I had assumed for the first half of the film that they had deliberately kept her silent because they couldn't find a decent child actor and she couldn't act for shit.
I can't believe they killed Charles. I expected Logan to croak but not Charles.[/sp]

[sp]I was expecting him to die, but jesus not like that. :([/sp]
Just returned from Logan and I really loved it, now I'm geniuelly afrait I wont enjoy incoming superhero movies because this one was very unque in many terms imo
[sp]Its probably just my mind trying to make up a good outcome with illusioning, but it really felt like at the end rocks on his grave were slightly moving, like he was attemping to dig out allready, pretty much simmilar to Quartermain in LXG ending?[/sp]
Oh I want to see Logan this weekend as well. I dont know is this hype, but several people told me it is so far best movie in X men timeline

So Logan was fantastic, a bit dark for my own tastes but it hit the nail on the head.
The [sp]deadpool [/sp] scene had me in tears.
Don't if this got posted yet, and i would take this with a HUUUUGE grain of salt but apparently David Harbour is in the running to play cable in deadpool 2

They didn't play that here in Australia.
Apparently the [sp] Deadpool scene makes references about superman/spider-man [/sp] :v:
I seen part of the scene, not the full thing but it was pretty good
For that scene. I have no idea how they got the rights to [sp]play the superman theme[/sp].
I would be really interested to know.

Here is the deadpool scene, it's missing a bit of the beginning

You don't need rights to something if you're parodying it.

That seems like such a stupid law, probably true but seems so stupid lol

Huh, this is a bit different from the one I saw in theatres.
There was no Stan Lee cameo, and he didn't answer a call in the phone booth.
Nathan Summers cumming soon graffiti on the phone booth
So, was the old guy in the Deadpool trailer Uncle Ben?
Logan was a 10/10 film.
Honestly can't decide who gave the best performance between Jackman, Stewart, and the little girl.
As excited as I am for Guardians and Spider-Man and Thor, this shit raised the bar. I don't necessarily need stuff in the MCU to be rated-R, but Logan's focus on characters and emotion hit way harder than "we need to shoot our lasers at the big mean poorly-developed guy while a big blue light shoots into the sky".
Really hope they try taking some risks with lower budgets and more low-key stories in the future, just so the MCU doesn't become too reliant on that golden formula of funny jokes/big action setpiece/cameo from another movie.
Really want to read these logan spoilers and watch those "Logan ending explained" videos I'm seeing all over the place, but I haven't had time to see it yet :(

Really? There's nothing to explain
lol youtube bait
Not a goddamn thing to explain.
Saw Logan today. Was incredibly amazing, though I left it feeling kind of depressed.
So I read somewhere that [sp] Westchester is the filming location for the x-mansion, and in the movie Xavier keeps talking about the event happening in Westchester. So I think it means he wiped out all his students there while having a seizure :( [/sp]
That's heartbreaking to hear.
Logan was really really good, I got teary eyed several times

I don't think so, else he would have specifically said the school.

Ok so even in the comics it's located in [sp] Westchester according to this: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/X-Mansion
They didn't want to talk about it in the movie, but they said the location. Think it was a nod. [/sp]
[sp]xavier killed 400 people and 7 x-men while having a seizure in westchester, you can hear it on the car radio before logan turns it off. xavier himself also mentions the incident before getting stabbed by X-24[/sp]
what a great sendoff to jackman and stewart's last roles. jesus christ. logan is incredible
It didn't even really feel "rated R" either. It was mostly for them to say "fuck" (sometimes unnecessarily). The blood in the action at times was gruesome, but not overly done I feel.
I've been looking around on Google Earth and
Logan Spoilers
[sp]I don't think there are any Mountains like that on the ND/Canada border lol[/sp]
