Wonder how hard Marvel is going to push to get creative control over the rest of Spider-man's characters.
We don't need a great homecoming and then a sony led venom to ruin it.
Would the venom movie be part of the Tom Holland Spidey movies? This wouldn't count as an MCU movie though? Also guardians of the galaxy 3 confirmed by Gunn.
It would be kind of confusing for it not to be part of Tom Holland's spidey movies for the viewers. It may also lead to ill feelings between Marvel + Sony if they're trying to do their own thing with spiderman characters when MCU is trying to build the character in their universe via the deal they made.
Especially if the MCU wants to do a symbiote arc in Phase4+.
I wonder if Sony thinks Venom can be their "R" rated anti-hero movie.
Why would they still continue with the Venom movie? Wouldn't this confuse movie viewers into thinking it's part of the MCU?

Bad for Marvel, but possibly the only way they managed to get the rights in the first place
I mean I half expect Spidey to get the black suit during Infinity War-Avengers4, but I'd at least expect a MCU Spider-man 2 of him coming back from the events of Infinity War with the black suit for most of the movie and getting rid of it at the end to lead into a Venom movie. Then again I do sort of expect Phase 4 being a symbiote arc leading into Maximum Carnage/Symbiote Invasion as Avengers 5 in a way.

Sony should just let Marvel have creative control over all their spider-man properties, but definitely thinking they want to cash in on an R rated comic movie like Deadpool/Logan

Seems pretty low. Kind of want Marvel to add symbiotes before Venom comes out and make sure they cut any ties people think it has to the MCU.
There was a trailer for a movie called "The Little Mermaid" which seemed to have the exact same plot as Disney's animated movie, but somehow the production company got away with it, and people think it's by Disney. Which, with the last bit of my previous sentence, I think may happen with the case of Venom if it ever sees the light of day.

Doesn't Iron Fist start tonight? I'm kind of interested in watching it, reviews are off putting but they seem to be mostly complaining about the color of skin so they people are looking for flaws immediately.
Do they do midnight release on this stuff?
