Doesn't beat daredevil but I was definitely entertained from start to finish. If the early fight scenes put you off, give it another chance they up their game around episode 4 and forward.
Finally finished it. It was pretty decent but it suffers like DD season 2, Luke, and JJ. The other characters and their plot lines are far more interesting than the hero.
Just watched the entire thing in 1 sitting
I don't get all the hate from the early critics? I may be a bit biased because I love Marvel in general but seriously?...
Alright 4 episodes in so far.
The show definitely needs a new choreographer and someone with a better eye for shooting action/in-general. On top of that, give Finn Jones more than 3 weeks to learn martial arts and put on weight but they already dealt with my issue of him looking like a child in Defenders. Also when they give him a costume they can hide Finn more often and let stunt actors do their thing.
Colleen should've been the PoV character as the mysterious Danny Rand arrives back in NY IMO.
Also holy shit it needs some budget. Every time Danny talks about K'un L'un I get hopeful for some sort of flashback but noooope, just distant noises and maybe some of that shitty flashback effect. I don't think they're afraid of talking about it because its unrealistic, [sp]Danny goes full on with the 7 heavenly cities and it being an inter dimensional[/sp], its just they have 0 cash to do anything interesting. Hopefully bad critical reception doesn't fuck up their chances at upping the budget for a S2

It's not as awful as critics are making it out to be, but its certainly only as good as JJ/LC/DD S2s back halves so far
Is it just me, or are there frequent times in the Iron Fist where an awesome synth track is played for less than ten seconds?
Netflix really needs a skip intro feature. No reason an intro needs to be 2 minutes long in every episode

It already has that and I used it every episode

it skips the intro automatically if you watch them in sequence
late s1 spoilers
[sp] With that board guy dead we are 4/4 on the defender solo shows killing old black men [/sp]

can skip immediate intros and shows with cold opens.
Iron Fist definitely isn't the strongest of the 4 shows, but it's still worth watching. [sp]If only for the world building and connections to the other shows[/sp].
I'd give it a 6/10.
Finished it. I was kinda disappointed with it.
Who was the big dude that [sp]stick was talking to at the end of season 1 of daredevil?[/sp]

While Luke Cage starts great and halfway through gets eh, Iron Fist starts off awful and halfway through gets eh.
Iron fist would be good if 8 episodes in I could figure out what the actual plot is
I think I just want someone to get fucked killed
Like not super dramatic and stuff like we sometimes get for shock ("Oh guys did you know the bad guys are bad!?!?!?!") I just want Iron Fist to punch a guy through the face or something. Maybe I'm just still feeling Logan too hard but I'm sort of sick of super duper PG-13 Marvel shows.

Did you miss the part where [sp]Harold was smashing dude's teeth out[/sp] or [sp]Ward was stabbing Harold to death[/sp] or any of the other people who died?
It's a pretty common thing in comics in general for the main character to not kill anybody. Hence why Punisher and Wolverine get so much love, because they do it without any qualms.

So far all of the Netflix series have been rated TV-MA.
Iron Fist was hugely weak in terms of directing and storywriting. Basically the main cast had to carry it limping through 13 episodes and the climax wasn't fulfilling at all. Daredevil had me on the edge of my seat on BOTH seasons, even though season 2 was weaker I was still totally on board with it. JJ the same and luke cage too. By episode 13 of Iron Fist there was absolutely no build up. Just...eh who cares.
Like it was a fun watch but it was a shit show. There's lights shining through the cracks there, I really liked a lot of the characters and they were casted well, particularly colleen wing who managed to completely redeem my opinion of her as an actor considering she was one of the sand sisters in GoT. I hope that they toss the writer and directory and get a new one if they decide to renew

I know and I know there's bits of blood and stuff but it's always done by the villains to show how bad they are. And when it's shown it tends to be eyerollingly vanilla, like when you see the Japanese guy surrounded by bodies and they're all just sort of laying around with big red stains on their shirts.
I'm starting to see Iron Fist as the "Thor" of the Netflix shows.
Ward deserves an award for actor with the least effort put in
Going by Iron fist's casting, I can't wait until Peter Dinklage is cast for Rhino.
