Wow Luke Cages villains in the comics fucking suck ass, holy shit. [editline]30th September 2016[/editline] [sp]Oh man im glad they remembered his real name is Carl Lucas.[/sp]
Not sure if this is the right place to post, but is anyone else not feeling Luke Cage? The main actor has no charisma and a lot of the "black" aspect of it feels really forced. [sp]The basketball court scene felt like it was straight out of a shitty 90s movie, and the old man saying "they call me pop cause thats what sound my fist made when i punched a fool" made me turn it off completely.[/sp]
black don't crack
music in luke cage is fucking sick best soundtrack of any marvel franchise so far

Look past that and recognize the ace cast and great set up.
straight out of a shitty 90s movie[/sp]
Then the showrunners achieved what they intended. The series wreaks of 90's NYC and it's fucking great.

[sp]HOLY shit episode 7, what a twist[/sp]
A couple episodes in, it's a tiiiny bit hit-and-miss for me, but mostly hit. Chico is a massive retard [sp]was*[/sp]
After finishing the series, i feel theres heavy implications [sp]The Defenders will eventually run The Heroes For Hire out of Pops Barber Shop.[/sp]
if I really enjoyed both seasons of daredevil, but could not stand Jessica Jones, would I like Luke Cage?
if I really enjoyed both seasons of daredevil, but could not stand Jessica Jones, would I like Luke Cage?
I couldnt get through all of Jessica Jones but i marathoned all of Luke Cage fine, yeah.
Just finished it. [sp] Small reference to colleen wing at the end, pretty cool Lots of openings though. Lots of stuff left unanswered. Not sure if it'll be answered in defenders or season 2 if it gets renewed which i'm assuming. I guess some of it will get answered in iron fist also claire temple is really talented at shacking off with superheroes [/sp]
Just sat through the entire thing [sp]Heroes for Hire![/sp]
Just finished it. [sp] Small reference to colleen wing at the end, pretty cool[/sp]
i missed it, where
i missed it, where
http://jesusfuck.me/di/WMF502H2/spoilersobviously.png
http://jesusfuck.me/di/WMF502H2/spoilersobviously.png
loool how the fuck did I miss that I'm glad though more rosario dawson is always good
I really hate these hamfisted "SILVER HAMMER AND GIANT GREEN MEN" every damn episode.
I really hate these hamfisted "SILVER HAMMER AND GIANT GREEN MEN" every damn episode.
[sp]Dont worry, Cottonmouth straight up says to luke "now you think you're Harlems Captain America". The line in the trailer was a different take than the one used in the show. Tony Stark and Iron Man are both separately mentioned by name too, Method Man. [/sp]
They could really just say "Thor", it's not like it'd kill the immersion or anything. People in the MCU know who Thor is, he's been around for the better part of a decade and is a founding Avenger. Hulk and Spidey are really the only ones that get a free pass on civilians not knowing their names, honestly. Maybe Black Panther and Bucky too.
if I really enjoyed both seasons of daredevil, but could not stand Jessica Jones, would I like Luke Cage?
There's a lot of character work like JJ, but there is no skimping on people what are in need of a good old fashioned asswhooping. The cast is also pretty much pitch perfect.
i wish luke cage (the show) moved a bit slower, and didn't cut between shots so quickly. [sp]it feels especially jumpy in that ep 1 scene where pop is giving luke advice.[/sp] it's already a pretty stylish show, it'd be even better if they took their time with each shot [editline]1st October 2016[/editline] [sp]'i don't even like these niggas, man'[/sp]
Wew, I think they had some trouble making Episode 10 [sp]Boiling acid bath, enough to dissolve wood but not the cage, alright. Essentially throwing a toaster in the boiling acid bath to revive the guy. Throwing salt in the bath and suddenly it just becomes calm as water. Aaaand, I guess this is an editing thing, but only removing the abdomen shrapnel and not the shoulder[/sp]

Is that Mariah lady the same woman who talked about her dead son with Tony in CW?
Is that Mariah lady the same woman who talked about her dead son with Tony in CW?
Same actress, though some folks' headcanon is that it's the same person, fabricating a story about a dead son to guilt Stark into backing the Accords and furthering herself politically. They're not likely to make anything of it, considering that Irish guy Frank Frank'd in the face was also Odin's father :v:
was turk's actor like, drunk or something during [sp]that rooftop scene[/sp]? he seemed very out of it

just finished ep 4, and while I'm liking it, I'm not loving it. Does it get better later on or what?
If you don't love it by ep 8, you're not going to love it. Not much more to say than that.
