I would not shed a single tear if Sony was completely shut down and every property they own was sold off piece by piece to other companies. They're an actual pox on the film industry. Their incompetence is damaging to the medium. Between Ghostbusters and them trying to cuck Marvel out of Spider-Man, I truly hope the Emoji Movie is the bomb of the century. I mean, I hope it's a disaster on par with Mars Needs Moms. Everyone at the top of Sony Pictures is an incompetent moron who got their position through sheer nepotism and the only worthwhile thing they've made is the Jump Street movies. Some gossip site posted the rumor that Gwyneth Paltrow will make some cameo as Pepper in Homecoming. Doesn't make sense to me since Paltrow wanted to be done with Marvel films, but maybe Sony made her change her mind. At this point i'm just glad MCU Spiderman is happening, that said i do agree with you that Disney will totally fight to keep the rights if Sony decides to be a shithead.

Honestly, symbiotes/arc about a symbiote infestation would be baller as fuck in the MCU. I doubt Sony can do Venom justice, let alone any of the other million symbiote villans from Spidey's line-up. And I doubt Disney doesn't already realize Venom will bring in the big fucking money bucks.
