What if one of the [sp]HYDRA agents in the Framework somehow gets out into the real world?[/sp] Another head replaced :v:
I'm still pretty certain that they are gonna pull a fast one and get [sp]"good" Ward out of the framework somehow.[/sp]
And you know what?
[sp]I wouldnt mind it. Call me crazy but I always liked Ward as a good guy.[/sp]

I don't think it'll happen for the mere fact that they would have to [sp]build him a body[/sp] and that just seems like too much work for a computer generated replica of a [sp]a guy most of them despise regardless of this version's "goodness"[/sp]
[editline]7th April 2017[/editline]
Also I do not think he is actually "good". In this world, [sp]SHIELD is the "bad guys". Ward is still a traitor. And it wasn't because SHIELD has better morals, he explicitly states he joined the resistance because he found out Daisy was an inhuman.[/sp]
I just can't get over how disconnected the MCU actually is. It's such a wasted opportunity and all because Hollywood doesn't want to play ball with "filthy TV casuals".
It's ironic because the netflix shows are more compelling than the actual movies.

No i can pretty much guarantee you that its absolutely not why thats the case in regards to Marvel Entertainment and Marvel Studios, because there used to be a creative committee composed of comics guys, tv guys, and the movie guys (remember that while this was a thing, there were a few movie cameos in the tv shows), which was broken up at Feiges request (and Marvel Studios becoming its own separate entity under the Disney label instead of Marvel Entertainment itself) because Ike Perlmutter is a garbage human being who'd do nothing but Roger Corman Fantastic Fours if he could so he could save a couple bucks while also pushing his own off-brand X-Men and shooting down all female movie ideas because he doesnt think they'd sell, (Captain Marvel and Inhumans were compromises between the two where Feige only got Cap if Ike got Inhumans, which is why Inhumans is a tv show now that they're seperate) not to mention his ludicrously over the top racism.

Most of them, at least

Nope, Ike is just a fat fucking cunt to everyone.
Like, i swear to god im not exaggerating when i say that this single solitary man, Ike Perlmutter, CEO of Marvel Entertainment, is legitimately, actually, seriously the single biggest and most key problem with Marvel as a whole, comics and MCU (though the comics side has way way way more problems in addition to Ike, dont get me wrong).
Its stupid just how many things you can tie almost directly to something he did or mandated or reportedly did or mandated. I mean hell you can pinpoint some of the exact moments the comics started going downhill but werent quite to *quality* levels yet (Civil War, 2006) when he became CEO (2005), and when the comics started becoming extra thick garbage (around 2012) when he started butchering the Editorial extra hard (From what ive read about anyway, 2011), not to mention other things like destroying the Fantastic Four and attempting to kill and replace the X-Men because of movie rights, or the fact that his actions allow guys like Tom "Angry Fans Buy Comics Its Fine It Wont Ever Bite Us In The Ass" Brevoort and Brian Michael "2002 Meme Machine OC King" Bendis to run rampant.
Now theres the disconnect between the cinematic MCU and the small screen MCU, because he cant cooperate with others and forced the movie division to separate itself from his tainted hands. And i guarantee you the only reason he hasnt been shitcanned and the whole company razed by papa Disney already is because he owns somewhere around the 4th or 5th highest shares in Disney and a majority of Marvel itself iirc.

What a creepy motherfucker.
Anyway, I finally finished all the Netflix MCUs. Jessica Jones was a lot better than I was expecting it to be, I liked that setting up a secondary plot didn't hurt the show [del]ninjasblackskyresurrection[/del]. Iron Fist is a bit confusing, not in the sense that the plot didn't make sense, but I have a hard time figuring out what hurt the show. The choreography could be better but I don't really care about fight scenes anyway, the characters were interesting for the most part. The relationships between the characters maybe? Oh and the ending would've been a lot better if they just cut the scene where [sp]Davos meets with Joy[/sp] imo.
Unrelated from Ike, it looks like Charlie Cox wasnt talking out of his ass when he mentioned that only he and Iron Fist have costumes in Defenders, Finn Jones also pretty much confirmed that he indeed will get the costume during The Defenders (im calling it that Melvin Potter makes it, like the DD suit).
But either way, Danny will be getting a costume of some description.
And it sounds as though we might see him suiting up in his new suit by the end of Marvel’s upcoming show, The Defenders.
“I will say this – by the end of The Defenders, Danny definitely has become the Iron Fist,” he explained. “It’s a long road to get there, but I think that makes for a really nuanced journey and understanding of the complexities of the character. By the end of Iron Fist, you know… you will get what you want in some form. Don’t worry.”

As far as I know, Luke Cage's wouldn't be that hard since it's just pants and a yellow t-shirt. Jessica's other hand might take some creativity.

As Jessica Jones her costume is just street clothes.
Daredevil and Iron Fist are really the only two of the four who have a costume.

I was thinking of her pink hair, blue and white outfit.

That was as Jewel, she gave up that life.

Jessica Jones only ever wore her costume in her origin and like one other story in the comics, otherwise its street clothes.
Give him the tiara and he will look like a damn fool.
Doesn't have to be an exact tiara, just something that's similar and more realistic. Like a sweatband that's silver or light gray, perhaps.

A grey sweatband would be perfect actually, but it's kind of weird if he's still bald.
And if the pimp stormtrooper got in I think there's a little room for looking foolish.

Ah, okay. Shows how unfamiliar I am with her character :v:

They've already referenced that well enough :v:

Should read her comics, they're great.

Its weird because his actual outfit in the comics wasnt actually as goofy as that thing was.

It was pretty much just a green leather outfit with a yellow shirt underneath.

Olive suit, yellow turtleneck, maybe some gators and bam outfit complete.

JJ comics > JJ show imo.
I'm not even into comics but I read JJ's series two years before the TV was announced by accident and enjoyed it quite a bit depite not knowing what the hell was going on in the background. [sp]Very conincidental considering what is happening to her in the comics.[/sp]

I feel worse for her in the comics than I did in the show.
I feel worse for her in the comics than I did in the show.
In the comics she was a geeky upbeat weird girl (who masturbated to Human Torch) who was excited to be a superhero before becoming the Jessica Jones everyone knows.
In the show she seemed to have always been kind of an asshole.

I thought the writing was really bad, but it also seemed like the actors lacked directing
Though on the directing note, I should say, for those who don't already know it, that there's a bit of a misconception regarding directors. The idea that they always have the time to stick around the actors, shaping their performance in every line is just not true for the majority of productions. Given the stuff we've heard on Iron Fist's choreography (the 'we learned everything 15 minutes before we shot it' thing), I think it's pretty clear that the actors were left to their own devices when it comes to intention - and it shows.
Every dramatic scene just felt like an acting school exercise, like it was closer to rehearsal than a finished product. There are many, many different ways to show anger or frustration, but it always feels the same in Iron Fist. But again, I want to highlight that this is probably more to do with time, budget, and possibly poor scheduling (plus the aforementioned bad writing) than acting, because the show is filled with capable actors. Tom Pelphrey (Ward), especially, got some of the best material, and really got to revel in it. It's just a shame how it all turned out for everyone else, though.
Should I even bother watching Iron Fist? I literally haven't heard a single recommendation and frankly I just can't be assed at this point.
Should I even bother watching Iron Fist? I literally haven't heard a single recommendation and frankly I just can't be assed at this point.
I wouldn't bother, it really doesn't add anything to the Netflix MCU that you probably won't hear about in Defenders.
I'm watching it by now and I'm sad that the story gets too extended and void between parts, even if I find the characters enjoyable and with solid development. By the second half they start to fill a lot of unnecessary scenes to make it to the 13th count. Like, by the time I was watching episode five I get to a level in which I think 'What is the fucking point of this episode?' (it actually has two, maybe three plot points that develop later on the season). If they shortened the season by a half the story would have been much more engaging.
I love every Ward [sp]and daddy faramir[/sp] moment though, best thing around. I don't find the fights actually bad, just average, uninteresting (by the exception of one or two). Maybe that's why they are bad to people though, action should be exciting
Man [Legion spoilers] [sp]those glasses in episode 7 are just straight up from They Live. Dig it[/sp]
