I've been reading some news stories about Donald Glover's role in Homecoming, and I guess it's been confirmed by some cast listing [sp]he's Aaron Davis, aka the Prowler, aka the uncle to Miles Morales[/sp]
Nah, the overall shape and aesthetic is more in line the one i posted.
Other than the general shape of the arc reactor, I don't see it.
So I finally watched Doctor Strange recently. [sp]The beginning was a little bit like Iron Man. (Egotistical but brilliant rich guy's life is changed forever by a life threatening injury, which causes him to change his ways and become a superhero.)[/sp] Luckily, that's where the similarities (largely) ended. [sp]I only had two complaints about the film. First, the villain was a little cliched. (former student who broke a fundamental rule and left/was expelled) I can't remember his name and his motivations were rather vague. Second, driving recklessly fast on a windy road beside the sea seems incredibly stupid and suicidal no matter how good your driving is.[/sp] The effects were solid and it brought something new to the MCU with the cosmic realm. I liked it.
And texting.
I'm just upset because having Flash be more of a "scrawny geek but has more money/status" kind of bully basically means we'll never get Agent Venom. [editline]28th June 2017[/editline] Then again, by the time they get to the point that they'd want to do something like that, they'd probably be more than okay with using reality-warping shenanigans to explain away re-casts and whatnot V:v:V [editline]28th June 2017[/editline] And now I can't stop thinking of them showing off the Reality Gem by having Edward Norton and Terrance Howard appear as Bruce/Rhodey from a near-identical universe thanks to Thanos fucking around with the fabric of space-time.

Imagine if Thanos starts fucking around with reality, only for a hard cut to Toby MacGuire in a Spider-Man suit. And then David Hasselhoff shows up with an eyepatch and cigar and starts ranting about the council.
As long as Infinity War ends with Thanos farming then I'll be happy.
Infinity Gauntlet needs to end like that. Infinity War needs to end with the snap.
Take a drink for: -Bad writing -Reused assets -Reused voice actors -Jokes/dialog that reads like a bad fandub -Bad animation We will never get a proper conclusion to Spectacular Spider-Man. We got less than half the planned episodes before that show was cancelled due to the Disney acquisition. But at least we have this. :suicide:
It's stupid because Jeph Loeb thinks kids are stupid. That's really all there is to it. Why try when "it's for kids!"
I knew it was going to be some shit when they had Patrick Brown do every single piece of teaser art for it but didnt show any of the show itself.
It's stupid because Jeph Loeb thinks kids are stupid. That's really all there is to it. Why try when "it's for kids!"
Meanwhile my heart is still broken from him strangling Earth's Mightiest Heroes in its prime to make room for his own shittier Avengers show, and mandating episodic plots because he thinks kids are too stupid for serial plots.
Here's another photo from the set of avengers, and a certain bird has been spotted on set ! [img_thumb]http://68.media.tumblr.com/b7c68b5d631ae08b0e993dcbf639a2d7/tumblr_osa8mexVXs1r9u466o1_1280.jpg[/img_thumb]
Infinity War is Marvel's last chance to redeem themselves when it comes to villains. I swear, if they fuck up Thanos and showcase him as a badass villain just to turn him into a witty and ridiculous character like Ultron, then I'm done with their movies for a while. Villains are so important, they are the reason why people read comics and so far there have been waaaaay too many throwaway villains with no clear motivation in the past movies.

That one guy's voice is super annoying
Jesus. :dogsleep:
This is what being broke with expensive taste looks like
Something about the animation style for the new Spider-Man seems like an imitation of Studio Mir's but lacking its fluidity (kind of like parts of Legend of Korra's season 2). They look fine up until they start moving. Which makes me realize that a Spider-Man cartoon animated by Studio Mir would be amazing.
Jesus. :dogsleep:
It looks like they took a movie project with a budget of 200 million, removed 95% of the budget, and stretched the content into a 12 episode series.
What's with the ridiculous accent Iwan Rheon's putting on?

Man I seriously hope that Marvel re-evaluates some parts of its formula with Infinity War. Like casting irony aside and giving us some sincerity. The DCEU is a trash fire, but Wonder Woman is one of the first superhero movies I've seen in a long time that wasn't half-comedy (or at least filled with jokes about how stupid the hero's kit and costume were). Like, you want to have your Guardians and your Ant-Man that are action/comedy films, that's fine. You want some moments of levity to keep things loose, that's fine too. But man, let us feel shit. That's what hurt movies like Doctor Strange and outright killed movies like Age of Ultron. We've been watching movies with space vikings and rage monster for close to a decade now, people are on-board. The best parts of Civil War were the character moments and the emotional pain brought on by the conflict. If it's a well-made film, we're able to look past the silly outfits and take it seriously. Marvel needs to have the same faith in all of their directors that they do in James Gunn.

Not to mention, James Gunn has his hands in the movie too. I also think Marvel isn't stupid and realizes how much we've been waiting for this film and how much is at stake... in the little behind the scenes clips and previews we've gotten it seems like, despite the amount of money there is to be made in this film, there's also a lot of heart going into its creation.
