im still not sure why jessica jones is so mixed around here, i honestly wasnt a fan of daredevils s2
Cause most people just want to see asswhipping and pseudojustification for asswhippping. Also much like Carol Danvers, JJ isn't 100% likeable, as it's supposed to be.
season 2
Season 2 should be one or the other, not both. TV/Movie Marvel has this habit of condensation which will actually bite them in the ass pretty quick as they run out of good stuff. (See Captain America, Iron Man).
NIGGAS FIGHTIN' OVER RANGS.
NIGGAS WANNA BE THA KANG.

So is Luke Cage's speed on a normal level?
He seems kinda slow

Should give a warning that this has a major spoiler near the middle end.
The simple answer is Luke wasnt high profile enough. High enough to make it to local radio stations, but i mean shit Ghost Rider is running down dudes with a 69 Charger covered in fire while being shot at with rockets and SHIELD still doesnt know about his ass.

After almost finishing the series, this theory is kind of out the window after episode 9 when [sp]there's a city-wide manhunt for a "super powered menace" that can toss people across the street like pebbles.[/sp]

snip 2 slow for the joke
Since this the first completely "clean" movie, it'll be interesting to see how characterization and further consequences are handled. Hopefully it'll set a good precedent. Really the only movie I think is going to be a mess until they run this phase down is CM, and I'm pretty sure that one's going to be a full on marketing/'political'/social media clusterfuck unless they significantly change the character to be a less of a literal space nazi sub. (Which they probably should, let's be honest, there's very little redeeming about her current incarnation)

christ
I'm anxious to see this
It's almost definitely gonna be nothing like the book at all considering they'd HAVE to collaborate with marvel/disney to get even close, but wonder if they can make a good original story

[sp]Time Stone in Doctor Strange for sure (90% sure it's in the Eye of Agamotto too). Soul Stone in Black Panther?[/sp]
[sp]Soul Stone in Black Panther?[/sp]
Das racist.
hope the bangers arent them trying to have a step in for the banners
"Now y'all know that baaad muthafucka Thanos is messin it up for everyone, grabbin all them stones for the Gauntlet, but y'all don't know that when a Stone's got Soul, the Panther's gonna roll; when the mouse is away, the Cat will have his day, ya heard"

I think its just referring to gangbangers.
The ending of Luke Cage [sp]leaves a bitter taste in my mouth.[/sp]
[sp]I think it's refreshing that everything didn't get wrapped up in a neat bow, also Lucas needs to working his bonding skills anyway. For the most part LC was as good as anything else Marvel has offered yet outside of Winter Soldier.[/sp]

I wonder how they're going to deal with time. If Strange can reverse time, he can prevent any death correct? There has to be a limitation other than it just being the Eye
I guess this is technically just the Marvel thread in general.
It kind of irks me how TV Jessica Jones isn't as "sassy" as comic Jessica Jones.

I still love them both though.
I really liked Luke Cage, but it's probably the weakest of the shows for me (although the music absolutely knocked it out of the park).
Diamondback was excellent, and I've never read any Luke Cage so there's probably little references that I'm missing which would make him even more enjoyable, so I'm quite happy with him. One issue I have with the villains of this and all the other Netflix shows however, is that [sp]they always seem to be a bigger threat to themselves than the actual hero. Kingpin kept on murdering his subordinate faction leaders, and practically every single meeting in LC ends with the villain shooting someone to prove a point. Just doesn't seem like a sustainable business model.[/sp]
Also, there's a big emphasis on humanising everybody, which is great, after the extremely weak villains we usually get in the movies, it's refreshing. Having said that, [sp]I just felt sorry for Cottonmouth for his entire run. He went from menacing to a character I was really rooting for to turn things around, and then five seconds later he was dead. They didn't quite get to that point with Diamondback, he was always a bad dude, even when you could understand his motivation, so the balance was better there at least.[/sp]
My biggest beef with the show is all the police scenes. [sp]Nobody acts like professionals. There was the scene where Misty is for some reason, questioning Claire about Luke Cage's whereabouts, even though they've both came from the same place. Claire obviously has no more information, but Misty doesn't believe her for some reason, and then just loses it. The whole thing didn't really work for me, because they were on the same page one second, and then completely at odds the next. The following episode tries to explain that as Misty losing control as part of her character, but it wasn't natural, and really felt like forced drama to me. Then later in the series, we're supposed to believe a cop absolutely wailed on a black kid in an interview room for not giving up Luke Cage. It's mentioned that he's suspended and it's written off like that's a result of the tensions with Luke Cage going around killing cops or whatever, but it's just not believable. The kid was so savvy about his rights that it shouldn't have went that way and they were literally in a police precinct, presumably getting monitored by someone as well.[/sp]
Finally, one more note about the cop stuff just not working for me, [sp]Misty refuses to take Cage into an interview room or even process him at all properly. They take it for granted that he's innocent altogether, even when there were important facts and inconsistencies that needed to be reconciled. I know it was supposed to be a contrast between them thinking he's the bad guy and then not, but it felt like too much improper bias to me. Also the speech was too much. The speeches at the funeral came very close to being too on the nose, but it was a public gathering, even if it was a funeral, most didn't know him too well so it was an acceptable speech situation. That end speech while he's giving his statements or whatever though, took me right out of the experience.[/sp]
So yeah, still a lot better than most other TV shows, but probably the most flawed of the whole Netflix bunch, or maybe I just didn't enjoy it enough to not notice these things. Can't wait for Iron Fist, The Defenders and Punisher, this series really felt like part of the rest of the Netflix-verse and I don't doubt that they're going to be great.
Using FlakTheMighty's post I can make a slight segue.

The first issue of Genndy Tartakovsky's Luke Cage book called CAGE! came out today, and if you haven't already I would suggest on picking it up. Genndy does both the artwork and the writing, and it's great.
Using a classic look, I like it.

Luke Cage episode 10/11 spoilers
[sp]The show had a massive time slip in these episodes. They showed it as the entire drive from NYC aaaalll the way down south to Savannah Georgia plus finding where the doctor lived as taking place during the entire time Misty was talking to the psychologist. That would mean Misty sat in that interview room for at least 48 hours straight[/sp]
Am I wrong, did I miss something or did they actually make that error in filming?

About Logan
Logan is “older” and that “it’s clear his abilities aren’t what they once were.”
We learned further details from an insider who said that the girl in the poster is a young mutant. In 2024, mutant births are severely in decline, and people aren’t sure why. We find out about a government-type operation called “Transigen” that is turning mutant children into killing machines. Logan ends up mentoring the girl, who has two claws instead of his three.
There’s more. Professor X (Patrick Stewart) is old and not well. His powers are unstable and at times he doesn’t even remember Logan. Stephen Merchant plays the Albino mutant Caliban, who helps Logan take care of Professor X.
