Incidentally, Men In Black is actually a Marvel property (through a series of company buyouts regarding the publisher of the original comic its based off of).
Looks like after Spectre Sony no longer has the Bond rights.
EON could lease it to Sony again, though - all those films did really good
I still get a blue screen of death on my brain whenever I think about the Emoji movie
I hear Nick Fury is going to be in the Captain Marvel movie since it takes place in the 90s.
Is it too much to ask for Coulson to have a cameo or a line, since I'm guessing we won't see him or his team in the Infinity Wars films?
So since Captain Marvel is set in the 90s and features the Skrull as the villain, who wants to bet that one of the characters we've had for a while is a skrull spy?
Could be a lead in to the last Avengers or something.

Could be a big universe shift like in Winter Soldier.
I dig it.
I heard somewhere that the 4th avengers movie is essentially gonna be the turning point for the entire MCU and Homecoming 2 is gonna be the 2nd start for the MCU
Feige told the Toronto Sun that Avengers 4, which currently does not have a working title, would be the last installment in the current MCU. After that movie, Feige explained, the sequel to Spider-Man: Homecoming will represent a new period for Marvel. It will help to kickstart a new MCU future with new superheroes for audiences to get to know.
“The original 22-movie arc ends with the untitled Avengers in May of 2019, and then two months later it will be Peter Parker and Spider-Man that usher us into the aftermath and how things proceed from there,” Feige said.
i never read a marvel comic so if they were gonna pull off that stuff they would probably do it around there
Sounds like they have huge plans for Spidey.
22 movie arc jesus christ
I'm as impressed as I am intimidated
It took the Bond franchise nearly 50 years to get that many movies and they're doing it just over ten years. Say what you will of the Marvel movies but that is amazing from a producing standpoint

People make fun of Marvel and shitting on them a lot but they were the only ones that didn't outright state "yeah, we are going to do a cinematic universe!". They were doing everything in silent in the background while creating Iron Man, Thor, Incredible Hulk and Captain America and slowly build everything up.
Something that so many other studios don't understand and the success in this regard is deserved, even if I really dislike how they just throw away so many good villains from the comics.
Can't see this with Universal's Monsters, anything from Sony, Transformers, and Call of Duty.
Actually, Transformers would make for a good cinematic universe, it has the best shot of competing with Marvel or DC. Its probably the only other IP capable of sustaining one that realistically has a shot at it. The main issue is the current movies are a total mess and the teams making them dont really seem to care.
On the surface it might not seem like it goes that deep but its a rabbit hole of lore if you look into the franchise. The IDW comics alone would make for good inspiration what with the space adventures, alien car robot political shenanigans, and Optimus Prime being a completely inept diplomat happening concurrently. Also the origin of the war being based around weird robot alien psuedo-communistic revolution and classism. You could spend an entire week browsing the wiki and not get through even 10% of it.
For robot car toys.
Its fucking weird.
Also beast wars with the big monkey.

Though its kind of funny how Transformers would be one of the few IPs capable of using the shared universe format and Marvel is actually one of its original creators alongside Hasbro and Takara.
Blade would make such a good netflix show tbh
Who the hell even owns that property now?

Marvel.
Marvel owns all their properties again except for X-Men, FF, and Namor.
[editline]29th July 2017[/editline]
Also full rights to Spider-Man and distribution for Hulk of course but still.
who *even* owns namor?
Universal, it'll be the same problem that they have with the Hulk in movies.
Basically at this point I'd expect them to bring Namor into the MCU in Black Panther 2 for reasons.
Problem is that I could only see Marvel and DC doing this because of how much different settings, tones, and characters their comic universes have.
They are definitely the obvious choices. Like AaronM202 said Transformers, under proper guidance would be another good example; Star Wars has always had the potential that it's strange they've figured that out now. If Sony wasn't fucking it up already, I'd even say The Dark Tower/Stephen King film universe would work using the same actors from movies like The Stand and Salem's Lot for the characters that play a part in The Dark Tower saga. I'm sure there are others, with the right perspective.
The thing about cinematic universes is that they need a rich mythology and foresight into the how it comes together. The trend is only painful because other studios are half-assing the idea because all they see is money and try to force a series of films.
Still excited for the King Kong vs Godzilla film anyway.
King Kong and Godzilla work because Godzilla already comes from a franchise with a shitload of monsters (a number of who actually starred in their own movies like Mothra), and Kong and Zilla fought once before.
who *even* owns namor?
I have heard conflicting things when it comes to Namor. What makes it even more weird is that they have something related to him in the GoTG ride queue in DCA which opened recently, which they normally wouldn't do if they didn't have the rights.
according Joe Quesada, Marvel has the rights to Namor

But

Watching season 4 of Agents of Shield and I have to say I really hate Robbie's portrayal in the show. It's like he's a completely different character
both of those infinity war trailers are fake, but still gets me hyped.

I dont know how to feel about this.
If she was ashen pale, she would have looked pretty good.
Thinking about it, as a little what-if joke it'd be funny but i think i'd prefer regular Domino rather than inverted Domino.
I decided that if they'd gone for a dark patch rather than reverse colors Domino, I'd have very little problem with it.

Well the dark patch doesnt really work if she's not chalk white.
Her name is Domino, because she's chalk white with a black spot like a domino piece.
