I like 2 for different reasons than 1. I enjoyed the extra backstory on Peter's parents, I loved the character development, but disliked Drax going from being super literal to being a walking punchline.

Really hope The Defenders will be good, but [sp]the super ninjas and Electra[/sp] were the most boring part of Daredevil S2, so not a lot of hope.

I've watched Seasons 1 and 2 of Daredevil and Season 1 of Jessica Jones. I was not able to really get into Luke Cage yet (even though I want to) and I passed on Iron Fist after seeing the reception to it.
I assume that Defenders will largely focus on the Elektra plot teased in DD Season 2, among other things. How much will I need to catch up on Luke Cage and Iron Fist? Will I enjoy Defenders if I pass on Luke Cage (for however long) and Iron Fist?

Same boat as you though I haven't seen any of LC at all. I watched the intro and it does look like you'll need to watch the solo shows because I instantly had no idea what the fuck was going on and that intro fight looked like crap.
Are there any succinct "here's what happened in this show" recap videos out there for those of us who couldn't be assed to watch Iron Fist?
I haven't started Defenders yet, but my brother wants to but is wary of it because he hasn't finished watching Iron Fist yet (like halfway through it). Is it worth him to finish watching Iron Fist before starting Defenders? I probably won't be able to start watching it for a few days to tell him.
