Nick Fury: Agent of S.H.I.E.L.D
Jesus Christ. To think this was once supposed to be a theatrical release.
I mean, the only canon part of The Incredible Hulk by now is the post-credit scene.
No? There's even news snippets of its scenes in daredevil [editline]6th September 2017[/editline]
Nick Fury: Agent of S.H.I.E.L.D
A decade older than the MCU [editline]6th September 2017[/editline]
wait the incredible hulk was considered to be apart of the mcu at one point?
It still is Hulk came out near iron man and the deal was worked out to include it. They even added a stinger with Tony Stark. Ed Norton quit but they keep Thunderbolt Ross and the shows have reference to the abomination fight. It's in the phase 1 box set and list still.
They also thought about having The Abomination in Avengers 2, but changed their minds
I don't know if Abomination would have been enough to save AoU, but man I can't wait for that dude to come back. Calling it now, after they finally put Thanos to bed, assuming they can't get the rights to Galactus back, they're gonna start focusing on team-based threats. We've already got a ton of villains (Zemo, Arnim Zola, Red Skull, Abomination, Leader, Mandarin, Justin Hammer, etc.) waiting in the wings, so I could totally see them doing Masters of Evil and Sinister Six as their next decade-long "we're gonna build up to this villain in particular" dealie. Again, unless they get the rights to Galactus and/or Doom, that's the only way I could see the MCU really innovating in terms of threats and spectacle. [editline]7th September 2017[/editline] Or maybe they'll just say "fuck it, they'll see anything" and default back to Loki for a half-dozen movies.
I just want Green Goblin or Mysterio in the MCU
Dream casting for Stormin' Norman? I've seen a lot of people suggest Matthew McConnoughey and damned if I can't think of a better choice.
Mysterio was in Amazing Spiderman, but it was ruined, hopefully this can also happen in the next spidey films.
In a perfect world, dafoe would be mcu norman
You can't top Dafoe and Simmons tbh
the guy's performance was pretty scary and convincing, and was the perfect cast
i can't think of anyone else as Norman honestly DaFoe left such a lasting impression on the kiddy me when i saw the original
All he's missing is the Cornrows.
I'm torn. Part of me wants them to just say "fuck it" and bring back Dafoe and Simmons, but another part of me feels like that'd be a bit of a cop-out. "This was profitable once, let's literally do it again." I feel like you could get someone like John McGinley and he'd do a fantastic job as Jonah, so there'd be no harm in recasting it and letting someone else take a crack at it. But then at the same time, it feels like they wouldn't hesitate to do some dumb stunt casting like they did with Flash and have JJJ played by Leslie Jones or something, so the safe option becomes all the more appealing. It's quite a conundrum.

Given that his last film was The Cabin in the Woods I'm gonna have to check this one out, too.
Of all the X-Force members (including Uncanny X-Force) that have already been in the movies, why does the comic relief have to lead them :s:
Considering Cable is there too seems more like Deadpool 3 tbh
Of all the X-Force members (including Uncanny X-Force) that have already been in the movies, why does the comic relief have to lead them :s:
Because he's more popular.
I just want Green Goblin or Mysterio in the MCU
Then pray that Sony's Venom movie falls flat on its face - because they are both reportedly slated to appear in the "Amazing Spiderman-less" cinematic universe, along with seemingly just about every other major Spiderman villain other than Scorpion.
It's funny that no matter what medium, the x men are going to have 5 billion spin offs
It's funny that no matter what medium, the x men are going to have 5 billion spin offs
cant wait for the X-Factor, corporate X-Factor, and X-Factor Investigations tv shows
Spoilers for Black Panther [sp]Come on, you can do better than this.[/sp]
Man, I'm getting so fucking tired of these bland-ass Marvel villains. Like, you've got this movie taking place in a brand new locale with awesome art direction, dynamic vistas and architecture and all kinds of cool shit, and your main villain is literally [sp]a palette-swap of the hero[/sp]. I can count the number of legitimately good MCU villains on one hand, everyone else ranges from passible to completely forgettable. These are fun movies, but they have the same exact flaws each and every time, with only a few exceptions. If they don't start addressing the issues in their formula soon, this shit is gonna sink like a stone after we finally drop that Infinity load we've had brewing for the past decade. [editline]8th September 2017[/editline]
Then pray that Sony's Venom movie falls flat on its face - because they are both reportedly slated to appear in the "Amazing Spiderman-less" cinematic universe, along with seemingly just about every other major Spiderman villain other than Scorpion.
I'm still convinced this is a gambit on Sony's part to get Disney to spring for the Spidey rights, for fear of damaging the MCU's brand. They know their movie division is in some serious shit, so they're basically threatening a murder-suicide unless the mouse coughs up a couple mil (if not a couple billion). Wouldn't even blink if we got an announcement in a month or so that Venom has been delayed for rewrites and staff-changes to properly integrate it into the MCU. Homecoming beat the shit out of the ASM series critically and financially, they have literally no empirical reason to not just let Marvel Studios write them a check and take the reigns. No reason, that is, aside from extorting a sale out of them.

No reason, that is, aside from extorting a sale out of them.
I think the plan has been the exact opposite. Rumors have been that Sony wants to steal Tom Holland's Spider-man from the MCU after his contract is up, and plop him right down into their own abomination of a cinematic universe. By the time Spiderman: Homecoming 2 is out, the Venom and and Silver/Black movies will be out, so the foundation will be there (and I'm using the word "foundation" very liberally - we all know ASM2 was trying to do the exact same thing, and it failed miserably). You are right though. There's nothing stopping Sony from just putting on their best Peter Parker impression and accepting Uncle Stark... er, Disney's money. Nothing except their own incompetence and ego - and strangely enough, those are the exact reasons Sony is in such a financial rut in the first place! So let's hope that, if they do end up through with their cinematic universe shenanigans, Venom lives up to its namesake and poisons them to death.

I'd never heard of a Dyson sphere before last month, and now I've heard it mentioned in Laidlaw's Epistle 3 blog post, somewhere in the Star Wars thread, and now here. It's like they're popping up everywhere![/sp]
Someone tell me how to feel please, thanks. [t]http://i.imgur.com/ciWfP6P.png[/t]
Good because this shows Sony they fuckin suck
i wonder if we'll ever get the whole story of what's gone on behind the scenes with these spider-man deals
i wonder if we'll ever get the whole story of what's gone on behind the scenes with these spider-man deals
Amy Pascal. That's about it I assume.
