Yes he did. In Breaking Bad at one point [sp]Mike was threating him to break his legs and Saul lost his shit immediately.[/sp]
Holy shit That's amazing
So far i think we all love it!
It felt like BrBa, just in the sense of how it was all made and edited. Saul has a great backstory that they can use to their advantage, debatable opinion here but I reckon he was a pretty major character
Yeah, it's interesting how stylistically the shows are similar but the characters are very different. Not only is "regular lawyer" to "sleazy lawyer" a much less drastic transition than "chemistry teacher" to "drug kingpin", but Saul and Walt are very different in how they deal with people. [sp]The way Jimmy was able to read Tuco and tell him what he wants to hear (from the reactive "Kingbreaker" to the thought-out "justice") in the middle of an extremely dangerous situation is something Walt could never do - despite his oft-stated desire to just talk it out, he has nowhere near the amount of personal, quick-manipulation speaking skills that Jimmy does.[/sp]
I found that whenever Walt was lying in Breaking Bad, he would always get downright theatrical and it would give him away.
It's amazing in the first and second season how shitty and see-through his lies were but Skyler just kept letting him get away with it
It's amazing in the first and second season how shitty and see-through his lies were but Skyler just kept letting him get away with it
Hell, even the last season it was almost cringeworthy how horrible of a liar Walt was. Instead of just saying "Gas pump accident" it turned into a three minute play-by-play about a random gas pump malfunction.
He's such a calm and collected guy most of the time, so hearing him tell this gas pump story was so fucking obvious that Holly probably saw through his bullshit. [editline]13th February 2015[/editline] When was this? Now I want to go back and watch that scene.
[sp]If I recall correctly it was when Gus was trying to have jesse killed and couldn't find him and Saul was trying to protect him.[/sp] Don't recall the season or episode though been too long.

Not to burst anyone's bubble but didn't they say BCS will end before/when he meets our duo?
Yes he did. In Breaking Bad at one point [sp]Mike was threatening him to break his legs and Saul lost his shit immediately.[/sp]
now i love BB and BCS but I feel this is giving the writers a bit too much credit. in that scene saul is lying on the floor and mike is obviously pissed enough. ANYONE would freak out if [sp]he suddenly jumped up and started to approach them, especially someone with no self-defense skills like saul[/sp]
Not to burst anyone's bubble but didn't they say BCS will end before/when he meets our duo?
Well, considering that we've already had scenes that took place after that it's pretty safe to say that that's not true at all. [editline]14th February 2015[/editline] And they never said that.

I usually am against the ideas of spin-offs, but in this case I love that this one was made. Saul was already my favorite character in Breaking Bad, so once he got his own show I knew right away I'd love it. They are treating it wonderfully so far. Though I feel like Tuco was just a little bit shoehorned in... Like, what are the odds on that?

Like, what are the odds on that?
Don't think it was shoehorned in, [sp]Tuco played a pretty major role in season 1 of BrBa so having him at the start is good. We might learn more about him and his backstory. Also we get to see his group, possibly this could be the start of Saul dealing with the drug industry and getting hooked up with people like Gus. It's all about connections. [/sp] [editline]14th February 2015[/editline] [sp]Remember, Saul knew Gus through a guy (mike) and another guy etc. So this opens up all kinds of doors[/sp]
I just saw another reference to the [sp]leg breaking[/sp] in S05E03 [sp]When Saul didn't want Mike to join the "team" because "He said he was gonna break my legs, and don't tell me he didn't mean it. He gave me the dead mackerel eyes, he meant it."[/sp]
idk i am just not feeling this "the [sp]leg breakings[/sp] have been referenced since the beginning" thing people in this thread seem to be supporting. it just feels like a running gag they had going with Mike, and nothing more than that. maybe it'll be exploited more like Fruxodaily said, but I don't think it was something set from the start.
I fear "they foreshadowed this" will be the new "Walter is no more, only Heisenberg".

The fact that they remembered about it when writing BCS shows that they kind of know what they're doing.
I just can't wait to see how Mike gets involved with everything.

Does the prologue of the first episode remind anyone else of Goodfellas They should've had Saul say "I'm an average nobody, I get to live the rest of my life like a schnook"
Just watched the first two episodes of Better Call Saul last night holy shit it's so good [editline]a[/editline] Also is that the dude who plays Vaas in Far Cry 3?
[editline]a[/editline] Also is that the dude who plays Vaas in Far Cry 3?
Yes.
yeah michael mando weird seeing him without the mohawk
I never played FC3 (just Blood Dragon) so I only know Mando from those interviews with him and Elias Toufexis
So far I find BCS fantastic. Sooo looking forward for the next episodes.
So.. will they split the first season into 2 parts? I hope we won't have to wait until October.
