They're bringing back the Insider Podcast for Better Call Saul too. https://twitter.com/kelleydixon/status/556988074530336769
I will be so upset if Better Call Saul ends up being disappointing.
With how incredible BB was I think they'll do a good job, perhaps not AS good as BB but still very good.
That moment when it hits you that there's a time jump from Granite State to Felina. That means that Jesse was [sp] a meth cook slave to the nazis for almost a year. [/sp] :c
that whole second last episode was utterly depressing. Up there with Phoenix for sure.
Just finished the last episode of BB. Holy shit. Wow. Such an excellent show. Mike and Saul were favorites of mine. And if Huell isn't in Better Call Saul i'll be super disappointed.
Fun Fact: breaking bad was made by comedians ever notice the extensive history of comedy nearly every actor has?
Jesse had the worst shit imaginable happen to him like seriously watch this -video- that's everything bad that's happened to him over the course of 1 year. That isn't even the start of it. He's a good dude who deals with really awful shit and awful people. he has to deal with 2 of his lovers dying in front of him, his parents disowning him, all of his money being made from killing people and selling meth to children, and just horrible shit if I was him, I'd kill myself. Dealing with that would be devastating.
[sp]Todd killing Andrea[/sp] and Jesses reaction before and after is seriously one of the most heartbreaking moments I've ever seen on television. Still hurts to see that scene. It's so damn dark and well-acted.
[sp] and jesse killing todd is one of the most satisfying scenes ive seen on television. [/sp]
I haven't seen Breaking Bad, but I'm interested in seeing Better Call Saul. You guys think that's OK or am I going to run into problems?
I haven't seen Breaking Bad, but I'm interested in seeing Better Call Saul. It is intended to be a prequel, though, and I've seen a bunch of people saying it stands on its own.
I'm sure some stuff will go over your head, but you can probably enjoy it on its own. I'm afraid it might be anachronistic at times though, like it might jump forward and back a bit, depending on how related to BB a certain plot point may be. But I guess we'll just wait and see.
The producers have already stated it will stand on its own. You'll be able to watch Better Call Saul without having watched Breaking Bad.

It have to work both ways, that seeing Better Call Saul might convince people to start watching Breaking Bad. Have faith.
i can't find the article but apparently a review says that bcs' first season/episode is better than bb's not really a fair thing considering bb s1 only had 7 episodes and originally had jesse getting killed at the end of it, i doubt bcs went through so many rewrites.

I don't totally doubt it. BB kinda had a bit of a rough start. It took a little time for them to get on their feet and figure out what the show was really all about, with the tone and the story itself. BCS has the advantage of an already well-established setting and a previous series to partially base it off of, and writers who are familiar with the universe, not to mention the pre-existing characters who'll make it easier to usher in whatever new characters pop up.
Breaking Bad was incredible from the start, but in my opinion, it only started being 10/10 around mid-season 3. Don't even get me started on how perfect seasons 4 & 5 were.
I'm pretty certain that One Minute was that point where it began getting serious praise and attention.
I had known about the show since its inception but I finally decided to start watching after all the praise from Season 4.
I'd heard about it a little bit a long time ago. Got Netflix before season 4 started airing, so I got all caught up to watch that live.
I binge watched the entire series all of last year over the summer, and god damn Crawl Space's ending was something.
That episode was intense but also in some ways, immensely satisfying to watch. Seeing Jesse finally stand up for himself and be independent, and Walt being humiliated and thrown around at the whims of others, was honestly a really long time coming.

Critics are saying Better Call Saul is good.
I'll be honest, Season 5 felt completely unneeded to me. Every worthwhile plot thread for the series had been resolved at the end of season 4. Characters had conclusions to their arcs and there was a reasonable degree of closure. Season 5 was well made and all that, but I just felt "why continue" the whole time, so much time was spent on making new problems that I just felt less satisfied. When Gus was on the screen, I felt hype for what ever callous and calculating thing he would do next, he was scary and a joy to watch. The nazis just lacked the impact and power Gus had and felt much more flat/predictable in their behavior. I'm just glad there were absolutely no loose ends left at all in the end. Also, perhaps a mite salty over Hank. Saul was one of the most lovable scumbags I can recall from recent years, so it will be a joy to see more of him.
Every worthwhile plot thread for the series had been resolved at the end of season 4.
That was intentional because they didn't know if they would get renewed for another season, so they wanted to tie up as many loose ends as they could.
I'll be honest, Season 5 felt completely unneeded to me. Every worthwhile plot thread for the series had been resolved at the end of season 4.
I'm glad they actually fleshed out the whole "Hank finding out" thing, since that was kinda a central part of the show, his investigation running parallel to Walt's actions. Also there were a few loose ends. For instance, Jesse wasn't really given any closure and it would have totally sucked for the show to end with Walt winning and nothing coming back to bite him. The whole point of the show was that he had to have a tragic downfall. Also, even though the whole Gus story arc was phenomenal, I got kind of tired of how they'd always be either at home or at work. The superlab was cool, but it got a little dull and kind of sterile. Walt and Jesse weren't doing as much crazy stuff as they did in other seasons, and it was very important to see Walt become more or less what Gus was. They might've tied up a lot of major loose ends, but they hadn't concluded Walt's story. They just concluded Gus's.
Breaking Bad was my favorite TV series. I'm looking forward, but cautiously optimistic about Better Call Saul.
Second that; I'm approaching this with the same expectations for a sequel to a good movie.
Somebody tell me that the song is the theme music :v:
Rewatching the first season, it is incredibly odd to see Walt with a head of hair.
