That some of the best storytelling I've ever seen in a TV show.
Wow that was the pinnacle of the show so far and probably one of the best episodes from either series.
It's a bit silly to complain Saul wasn't in it much. That's how Breaking Bad developed.
Season 1 was mostly about Walt and told from his perspective, everybody we saw was though his lens. Then Jessie got his own storylines and development. Then Hank. Then Skylar. Then Marie. The show become very much an ensemble thing as time went on and then as those storylines crossed it became unmissable TV.
This seems like it's the point the show is going "right we've set up Jimmy, you understand him. Here's Mike, we're gonna start dropping storylines in for him now too". I wouldn't be surprised if in a few seasons time we're watching storylines for Kim too. Mike will be this show's secondary character who ends up doing as much as the main no doubt. He hasn't started doing hired gun stuff yet judging by dialogue so this is the perfect point to start following him, if you were gonna make a Mike show you'd start it round this point anyway. His role in the show will be the Jessie to Breaking Bad's Walt.
Hooly shit, Mike's character just got more development in that one episode than he did during the entirety of Breaking Bad.
Saul seems kinda flat in comparison honestly
Forgot that scene with him and his brother [sp]in prison[/sp] ??
Holy shit Vince Gilligan knows how to make good TV
That was a powerful fucking ending
Jesus christ. The cinematography in that episode was so god damn crisp.
The actor of Mike did one hell of a job, other people get Oscars for that shit.
Now we know why Mike winced in the (second?) episode when the guy pats him
no youre just some kind of train weirdo
its not my fault that im a new mexico native
Damn this episode was special. What a great actor Banks is.
After this episode I'd rather have the show based around Mike instead of Saul, might just be me though.
While I like Mike, I still prefer Saul (as a character).
When he says S'all good, man
I was like woahhhh.. i never made the connection before
One thing I'm wondering about this episode... [sp]was Mike actually an alcoholic, or did he just elaborately set that up to give the illusion that he was a washed up old harmless drunk ex-cop who could easily be disposed of once they found out he knew it was them? I guess it depends on how far ahead he was thinking. If he brings up alcoholism around characters he didn't know in Philly, I guess that theory's bogus.[/sp]
I'm assuming it was all a plan.

After all, Mike's not one for half measures.
I got bad news, guys.

What does that even have to do with the show? That's super clickbaity

I feel like he was previously an alcoholic, but when he [sp]sets the two phillie cops up, he was probably faking it to make sure the plan goes right.[/sp]

Clickhole is a Buzzfeed parody run by The Onion
Jonathan Banks absolutely nailed it in this episode.
I'm not saying that I don't enjoy this show, but I hope it picks up at some point and gets me into that "thrill mode" that bb used to do so well. For now it doesn't seem to be focusing anywhere in particular.

I think they'll get to that, but first we have to get through some exposition still. We're still introducing and learning about the characters so not a lot has been able to actually happen yet
Season 1 of BCS is much better and more interesting than season one of BrBa though.

I'd say this because we already know the characters and are interested in them, and that fact lets the creators go right into expanding them

More scenes of Saul talking his way out of situations like with the skaters.

That scene was definitely the most tense the show's gotten so far, other than this last episode
I wonder how did people who didn't watch BrBa react t the latest episode. For people who know Mike, this episode was expected, but for others he's just a wacky sidecharacter sitting in a parking booth
