The opening should be short and concise like BB, somehow I have trouble imagining it as anything else. Also holy shit it starts tomorrow.
I expect the first episode to have a full intro and then for future episodes go into a smaller cut of it like BB.
short intros are the best tbh.
i'd like to see more shows open with recognizable music to set/contrast against the tone, like house detoxing to no surprises before the show TOTALLY crashed and burned [editline]7th February 2015[/editline] breaking bad's soundtrack was amazing but non ambient songs were spaced out for the sake of dramatic pacing. with BCS i think there's more room for it
Weird to think that this show was just a silly little rumor a year and a half ago and now it's coming out in 3 days.
Wait three days? Fuck, i thought this was coming out in like, March. Fuck yeah.
Super excited, its interesting to see them take a supporting character and give him a spot light. Especially such a shady character as saul.
I remember my brother introducing his girlfriend to Breaking Bad and when the intro started, he went "you know what's so awesome about this intro?" "What?" "It's over now."
I remember how incredibly tense the intro to felina was, holy shit
I never realized how nice Breaking Bad's short intro was until I started watching The Wire. The full intro for every episode gets a little annoying after a while.
So unbelievably excited for Better Call Saul My parents got rid of cable though so FUCK, guess i'll catch it on Hulu.
ohh shit yes
Wait three days?
Today! :v:
Oh shit, horaay!
Well, tomorrow if you're in the GMT timezone. It releases at 7am on Netflix, so just an hour after the American showing.
So there's episode 1 today and episode 2 tomorrow. That's really queer.
That's fucking awesome, what are you talking about?
Just meant it's really odd Am hyped to the max for more magic
Well, tomorrow if you're in the GMT timezone. It releases at 7am on Netflix, so just an hour after the American showing.
Wait, they're putting it on Netflix right away? That's great, since I don't think I'll be able to see the second episode when it airs
Wait, they're putting it on Netflix right away? In America the entire series is going on Netflix after the final episode airs.
I'll be honest, Season 5 felt completely unneeded to me. Every worthwhile plot thread for the series had been resolved at the end of season 4. Characters had conclusions to their arcs and there was a reasonable degree of closure. Season 5 was well made and all that, but I just felt "why continue" the whole time, so much time was spent on making new problems that I just felt less satisfied. When Gus was on the screen, I felt hype for what ever callous and calculating thing he would do next, he was scary and a joy to watch. The nazis just lacked the impact and power Gus had and felt much more flat/predictable in their behavior. I'm just glad there were absolutely no loose ends left at all in the end. Also, perhaps a mite salty over Hank. Saul was one of the most lovable scumbags I can recall from recent years, so it will be a joy to see more of him.
Honestly, I disliked the villains in S5. Seriously, at least they were subtle about trying to make us hate Gus, but 'Nazi-Skinhead-Child-Killers' felt like they were trying too hard
Just meant it's really odd
Two-night premieres are reasonably common when applicable :) Some kind of event television technique, I guess. More time to get in to the story and the characters.

Like you said, they're just way too generic to feel any sort of connection to.

With Gus out of the way and Walt retired from the business, there's nobody left who could really compete on that scale. The next best thing the trade has is a bunch of neo-nazi thugs who are only in it for the money, not for the power or influence that drove the other two.

The ones who were always quiet and carried an axe. I found them cringey as fuck, im not sure why
the cartel twins were great if you weren't freaking out during the bedroom scene then idk
the cartel twins were great if you weren't freaking out during the bedroom scene then idk
Every time I re-watch BrBa I always get excited for the scene where hank is attacked by them when he's in the car. Has to be one of my favorite bits of Breaking Bad for sure.

The writers really did think of everything.

The most overlooked character is Jimmy In-'N-Out, no doubt, they didn't even give him any dialogue I want a spin-off series about Jimmy In-'N-Out
Better Imprison Jim
i'm still wondering if we'll ever get the full story on gus
i'm still wondering if we'll ever get the full story on gus
honestly I'm not sure I want it, I'd rather leave it to mystery
