That was kinda meh.
definitely not as much as i've come to expect from vince but not a bad episode, certainly comparable to the differences in quality of breaking bad episodes
that chicago montage with Jimmy/Marco was pretty cool imo
I dunno I thought it was a fine way to wrap up the season and lead us up to the next. However (finale spoilers) [sp]I was sorta hoping he's take the Santa Fe job and then royally fucking it up somehow, thus leading him back to Albuquerque and Sauldom.[/sp] Though, I think I liked it a lot too was because I saw last weeks episode for the first time this evening. [editline]6th April 2015[/editline]
that chicago montage with Jimmy/Marco was pretty cool imo
[sp]he's a Nigerian Prince[/sp]
[sp]he's a Nigerian Prince[/sp]
People fell for that all the time 10 years ago, it's crazy to even think about lol
I dunno. The finale wasn't earth shattering, but I liked the melancholy tone near the end. I thought the whole [sp]confession to Mike that he wasn't going to pass up another opportunity like the Kettleman's again[/sp] was a little hokey, but it was good that they got it up and out in the air. Also that montage with bar room cons and the [sp]Kevin Costner call back[/sp] was really cool. I thought it was really cool that one of the bars they used (the sign with the dipping bird) isn't too far from my dorm.
I thought the finale did what it had to do; pushing Jimmy one strep closer to his transformation into Saul Goodman. Plus, I loved the montage sequence. Not the most amazing finale ever, but a good one.
Probaly most people were expecting more of a bang coming off of breaking bad. every season finale in BB was a game changer and among it's best episodes. Wasn't bad or anything though
That montage was really mid-1900's noir
[sp]No jimmy, only saul now[/sp]
I think right now [sp]he's Slippin' Jimmy, and Saul comes around later as a sort of hybrid of the two.[/sp] [editline]7th April 2015[/editline] This finale did everything it needed to do. [sp]Jimmy's done trying super hard to be a legit lawyer, and now that he spent that week as a conman he's back to his old tricks. In the next season he'll probably delve into the criminal underworld a little more, then somehow use his law skills to clean up his act later on, opening his strip mall office.[/sp] Also, [sp]B for Belize[/sp]

Aaaaand there she blows, saul goodman is here to stay.

I'm expecting big things from season 2, while the two are somewhat incomparable, I think BCS is every bit as entertaining as BB. BO has stepped up to the mark big time.
I'm expecting big things from season 2, while the two are somewhat incomparable, I think BCS is every bit as entertaining as BB. BO has stepped up to the mark big time.
They could only do so much with this so far. I think season 2 will be fucking amazing, as much as we want it to get to the good stuff already (because we know what to expect if we've watched BB) this was perfect, you can't rush it too much. Things will definitely kick off in season 2, and from the beginning too it's all set up now. I can't wait.
ITT: People expecting another Face Off or Full Measure and being surprised that this isn't Breaking Bad anymore.
[sp]B FOR BELIZE[/sp]
It didn't really feel like a finale episode until like, five minutes to the end. Was still great though.
it was a good setup for season 2, i saw it with no expectations and was satisfied. the part with marco was very good and emotional.
that montage gave me fear and loathing in las vegas vibes jimmy humming at the end got me pumped too awwwyee
Fuck. First The Walking Dead gets a season finale hyped up to hell and back where nothing remarkable happens until the last 5 minutes and now pretty much the same thing with Better Call Saul. Still not a bad episode by any means and i'm a lot less disappointed than i was with the TWD finale, i never expected BCS to have explosive action-filled season finales [sp]rip slippin' marco ;_;7[/sp]
story sync is cool but are these results accurate?
Well, episode 10 was different then I expected but i still really enjoyed. I remember when I saw the trailer for episode 1 and how I was expecting it to be not so good. I'm so happy now that Vince and Peter made this great series about my favourite BrBa character. Now the wait for season 2 begins... Is it 2016 yet?

So when does Season 2 start?
