just popped in to say I watched Breaking Bad last year and it was one of the best stories I have ever had the pleasure of consuming and thinking about EVER. nearly perfect in every way
watching better call saul got me thinking a lot about that mike/jesse stuff in BB brings so much more meaning to their dynamic mike is my fav character tho
Was the guy in the bar [sp]the same one who Walt trashes the car of somewhat early on in Breaking Bad?[/sp] Also I never expected [sp]a light switch[/sp] being suspenseful.

Good premiere, can't wait to see how it all unfolds.
Yep. I kept wondering why he looked so familiar and then it hit me. [editline]16th February 2016[/editline] Playuh
Damn, I feel great about my self for instantly making the connection.
Fuck, I forgot the season premiere was tonight. Gonna have to watch the rerun.
Damn, I feel great about my self for instantly making the connection.
And honestly, he deserves what Walt did to his car. That guy has been using a bluetooth head set for at least six years
God damn it, I still need to start watching Breaking Bad, but I can't stop watching Better Call Saul.
Also I never expected [sp]a light switch[/sp] being suspenseful.
I feel like that was symbolism for something but I'm missing the point about it. Maybe he wanted to be a cool troublemaker and break a rule, but he realized it was totally arbitrary and nothing changed anyway, kind of like the brief arc he experienced in the episode? Also I'm really upset that we're only gonna be getting ten minutes' worth of flash-forward per season. [editline]16th February 2016[/editline]
Fuck, I forgot the season premiere was tonight.
God damn it, I still need to start watching Breaking Bad, but I can't stop watching Better Call Saul.
technically you can get away with watching Better Call Saul first anyway since it's a prequel series to Breaking Bad
technically you can get away with watching Better Call Saul first anyway since it's a prequel series to Breaking Bad
Watching prequels first always has its drawbacks in terms of easter eggs and references though
I think it was both, Symbolism 101 - it shows that he isn't able to play by the rules, and joining the law firm is just a facade that will slip, probably in the middle of the season, but I think it also contrasted heavily with the very beginning of the episode where put in the similar position [sp]will not be able to open the door causing the alarm. It shows how much his character changes during the entire two shows[/sp] [editline]16th February 2016[/editline] Also this:
[sp]KEN LOSES[/sp]
Wait, are Netflix not releasing all the episodes at once? The fuck, that was the best thing about Netflix
Wait, are Netflix not releasing all the episodes at once? The fuck, that was the best thing about Netflix
BCS airs on AMC - it's not a web show.
:snip: Nevermind, I get it now
Oh crap, I totally forgot there was a new episode out There goes my evening
BCS airs on AMC - it's not a web show.
Didn't they release each episode on netflix after it aired or something like that?
Didn't they release each episode on netflix after it aired or something like that?
Yep - they still are.
oh neat, i didn't get any notifications/homepage info tho [editline]y[/editline] nope season 2 isn't available
It's just in the UK (the next day - then the rest of Europe soon after).
they changed it? i could view it here in sweden last year, the hour it aired
Huh, weird that Sweden isn't receiving it since I was able to watch the newest episode just fine.
[sp]A pretty cool show but I'm not sure how to feel about the main plot. Mike's plot with the rookie criminal and Vaas seems interesting but I like and hate the fact Saul's story is pretty much copying Walt's arc. Everything is going good for him and he doesn't need to turn bad but of course his ego will make him throw all of that away.[/sp]

The only reason he got this good stuff is because he was screwed and got bailed out. Then went good for his brother who just backstabbed him anyways. Which if good back stabs you and bad is damn fun there isn't a point not to be bad[/sp]
I saw it earlier today, you must be looking in the wrong places.
oh yeah they added it now it seems, but not day 1
[sp]Walt was in it for power, Jimmy's in it for independence. Jimmy's a bird who keeps flying out of one cage and into another.[/sp]
If you look at it differently [sp]Walt's lust for power came from his need of independence. Walt was a visionary stripped of his dreams, forced to (at least in his opinion) abandon the company he co-created and start a family life with a woman he didn't really loved that much. Family life that wasn't enough to his needs. Often neglected, ridiculed by his peers and family members, nagged about mundane things making him snap one day. It's not like Walt was all good and harmony in his heart from the very beginning, he was an awful human being from the start, it's just the scale that changes through out the series[/sp] Look here, it's one of the best scenes in the series because like no other gives us a glimpse into true Walter

I think Saul's always had a bit of good in him, things with Walt got too heavy for him and in the end he wasn't involved by choice. Granted, BCS is set before Saul turned so corrupt but I think that's what the light switch scene demonstrated, he's a risk taker but he still has a moral core.[/sp]
